Eugene was still on his knees and accepted his fate because he knew there was nothing he could do because he expected this diabolical turn of events. He glanced around and saw the rest of the group in the same situation and seemingly also accepting the fact that nothing could be done

"You all will be a new source of my power so you should feel glad that I personally want to assimilate you, you will be part of a god and there is no higher honor than that" said Kazim indifferently and quite shamelessly

The next moment he waved his hand and a bright light enveloped all of them, and their marks began to emit a bright crimson glimmer, one after the other they were being assimilated with screams heard all around in the usually quiet throne room

"I'll be your servant please, no I'll be your slave just spare my life your majesty" pleaded a man from the group as he was terror stricken 

"It's no use, you don't qualify to be my servant or slave and besides you're already dead, you're just here because you're useful to me at the moment" replied Kazim in a cold tone

"No p-please I'll do anything" said the man as he began to tremble 

Kazim didn't care and just assimilated him, a sharp scream was heard as he was also assimilated into Kazim's rune and then two were left, Eugene and Katrina, she already looked lifeless and couldn't even utter a single word with her face soaked in tears and terror.

It was finally her turn as she glanced at Eugene and gave him a warm smile before she was assimilated into the rune. 

Eugene saw her smile and was speechless as he watched each and every one of them dying before his very eyes, he looked up and saw cold stares from Alak and Kazim and anger welled up in his heart but he knew he couldn't go against them.

It was finally his turn and the mark on his palm began to grow even brighter as he was propelled forward towards Kazim, he was now in front of Kazim's huge face with his four white eyes glaring at him, Kazim's rune began to resonate with his mark as well but it was at this point Kazim frowned

"What do we have here" Kazim was a bit surprised as this was the first time a spirit actually resisted to the extent of not being assimilated

"Alakim, why is it different?" asked Kazim with a slight frown

Alak was confused as well because he never expected a mere spirit entity could withstand his Lord's powers

"My Lord, I have no idea maybe the process wasn't complete"

"Hmm, alright but I feel it can still still be done"

Kazim then increased the power in his rune and Eugene's assimilation began slowly. Eugene felt like his world was about to collapse as the pain was unbearable and he started screaming, his leg began to disappear followed by his hands and all that was left was his head and upper body. The pain was indescribable as he was almost on the verge of collapsing.

Kazim was satisfied as the assimilation was going smoothly but he suddenly frowned as he realised that the assimilation stopped yet again

"This one is too stubborn, I must temper you" said Kazim angrily

He immediately summoned a completely huge black cauldron with several star shaped runes on its body

"Alakim, put it into the cauldron" said Kazim as he tossed limbless Eugene to him 

Alak nodded and then grabbed Eugene and put him into the cauldron.

Immediately Eugene was tossed inside, he felt a huge suction bearing down on him and attacking his mind and body, he tried to bear the pain but he couldn't  because he felt like he was being dissected and he began to scream.

The process wasn't fast, it was a slow torture and Eugene found himself fainting and waking up numerous times. He didn't even know how long he spent in there but he didn't care, he just wanted it to end as the pain was unbearable

Finally the suction stopped and he was forced out of the cauldron, his limbless self was almost transparent and had a dim glow, nearly resembling a ghost. Kazim saw his figure and was happy, he immediately controlled him and brought Eugene towards his rune to complete the assimilation.

Eugene didn't have the strength to scream anymore as his body was being assimilated yet again, but when it suddenly reached his head, the assimilation stopped yet again

Kazim saw this and was angry but he quickly regained his composure as he felt content with what he assimilated 

"Alakim, toss it into the wormhole, it's already useless so it might as well just be discarded"

Alak nodded as he took Eugene's head with him to the underground chamber where the wormhole was situated. Kazim was still seated on his throne and was smiling resplendently as he could feel power welling up inside him

"It's a pity I couldn't completely assimilate the last one but it's alright, with this it should be enough" said Kazim with a huge grin on his face

Eugene's vision was blurry and he was still wondering how he was still alive despite losing his body, he then realised he was being held by the man who brought them here and was heading somewhere. 

They immediately arrived at the underground chamber and a massive spatial distortion was situated at the floor of the chamber with several huge red pillars around it. Alak immediately tossed Eugene's head into the wormhole and left.

As he was tossed inside, Eugene felt several bumps as he crashed into something but he couldn't understand what or where he was as it was completely dark. 

Suddenly a huge bang occured in the wormhole and it shook violently as his head was pushed heavily into a massive intertwining light, he didn't have time to prepare himself as he arrived in it and several huge needle like objects began hitting his head 

The pain was enormous but Eugene acted indifferently because he was already used to it, suddenly there was a twist inside as he was forced out into an open dark space where he began drifting aimlessly

Alak was on his way back to the throne room when he heard a little rumble coming from the underground chamber, he immediately stopped and looked back wondering what it was but casually dismissed as he felt it was nothing important

He arrived at the throne room and saw Kazim seated on his throne with his eyes closed 

"My Lord, it's been completed" said Alak respectfully with one knee on the ground as he bowed his head

Kazim was silent for a few seconds before he spoke "Good, oh what was that noise I heard coming from the chamber?"

"I don't know my Lord but it's probably nothing you should worry about" 

"That's true, alright Alakim you're dismissed and I do not want to be disturbed no matter what. Tell the other generals to make sure any visitors must be kept away as I need to stabilize" said Kazim seriously

"Yes my Lord" replied Alak seriously as he walked out of the throne room because he knew this was very important

Kazim was then left alone in the room as he stood up from the throne and walked towards his place of meditation, he opened the massive door and immediately sat down cross legged on the floor. 

"I feel like I can proceed to the next realm now, but I won't as I don't want to draw Somis attention yet. I will just stabilize and break the seal without alerting her and then I will break into the next realm" muttered Kazim as he closed his eyes to begin stabilizing, the rune on his forehead began glowing as he gave a slight smirk

(Continuing from prologue)

As Eugene swallowed the thread, he immediately felt a huge force bombarding his brain as he began to scream, this pain was even higher than what he felt before as he began to think maybe it was a mistake to swallow the thread but he gritted his teeth and persevered 

"If pain was a human then this is stalking!" protested Eugene in his mind as he gritted his teeth

This went on for a while as the pain subsided and Eugene took a huge breath of relief

"phew, that was fucking painful but at least I got through it, so uhm what next?" said Eugene as he had no clue as to what would happen next but as if it was listening to him, Eugene began to feel a warm and comfortable sensation flowing within him.

He glanced down and saw that his body was being fixed, it started from his neck to his shoulders, hands, upper body and finally he was complete and glowing brightly even more than before.

"Oooh what's this? it seems like my gamble paid off hahaha" said Eugene as he began to laugh to himself but he was suddenly cut short as he saw something in his vision

[Traits determined]

[Locating nearest habitable planet...]

[Planet Ramilka found]

[Transfer to nearest planet?]

[Yes]/[No]

"..."

Eugene was speechless as he saw the various notifications pop up

"Hahah is this the fabled system whatchamacallit that I've read? Good, very good haha" 

[Awaiting response from host]

[Yes]/[No]

Eugene laughed to himself for a bit like a madman before he calmed himself down and said 

"Yes"

[Affirmative]

[Beginning universal transfer]

"Eh? universal transfer? what's that?" murmured Eugene as he saw the notification but quickly regained composure as he didn't care anymore, he just wanted to leave the dark space he was in 

When he said yes, he instantly turned into a foggy like substance and was propelled forward at a high speed towards his next destination.
