"Six-thirty in the morning! What the hell!? I slept for almost 15 hours! That's the first time I slept for more than 8 hours."

Yawn. "Must have been so tired.... Can't blame my body for that. Sleeping for 4 hours or less can take on the body. And I'm no longer a teenager anymore. Or even early 20s.... how time flies."

<Who could it be? It must be a very and upbeat girl, that always wear brightly-colored clothes and loves cute animals. I hope it will at least thus brings happiness to whomever he or she may be. Preferably a she. Hmmm... I wonder what kind of spirit was summoned. An animal like a cute bunny, or maybe a small cat or dog? A sprite? Some kind of mythical beast? I wish I knew what it was. Oh I can't wait to meet them! But that... that is so frustrating. Here I am still learning how to cast fireballs or project lightning, and then someone just pulls out a rabbit or something. A freaking Spirit Summoner! How the hell do I compete with that?>

<Well... at least I got something out of it. I now have a total of 1100 Upgrade Points and 11000 Shop Points. Really nice and very useful. With that, I'm gonna procure for myself a LOT of really nice things. The 'Item Shop'... awaits!>

Basic Alchemy Kit (Tool[Production] - Regular)

An alchemy set designed for use by budding trainees in the Alchemical Arts. Includes a burner with integrated stand that accepts any flammable liquid such as kerosene, alcohol and even gasoline as fuel.

<Ooooh... that's the stuff. The bonuses alone is so worth the 500 Shop Points I spent for it. And with the included burner? A must have purchase for me. Temperature controls go from as low as 50°C to as high as 2000°C, with adjustments of 0.1°C. That's insane! I can melt iron with it, if I wanted to. And the 'any flammable liquid' is useful, since could dump any liquid fuel - from alcohol to diesel - to fuel it. No need for any fancy fuels for this one.>

<It's also comparable to a standard chemistry setup. Complete with beakers, graduated cylinders, test tubes, burettes and pipettes. Racks and holders. Droppers and stirrers of different types and sizes. And a weighing scale with a capacity of one metric ton with an accuracy of 0.1 microgram. That's super accurate yet still durable enough to use for large-scale measuring.>

<Also bought several books on Magic, Alchemy, Herbalism. Even bought a book on Summoning. Useful for the Spirit Summoner so they won't be stuck on their studies. I also want to study Summoning Spells and Rituals. It's really interesting... and I also want to summon a cute Spirit Animal myself. CAn't let my student one-up me.>

Full damage on optimal radius, 75% on effective, 50% on maximum. Optimal radius of 3.5 meters. Effective radius of 5.5 meters. Maximum radius of 7.5 meters. Has three(3) charges. Charges recover at midnight or by transferring 25 Mana.
Firecracker [Evocation - Elemental(Fire)] [Rank - Aprrentice] (Lvl5) (5/5) - A spell that creates small explosions in the target area. Cause 50 damage. Full damage on optimal radius, 75% on effective, 50% on maximum. Optimal radius of 2 meters. Effective radius of 3.5 meters. Maximum radius of 5 meters. Base chance of igniting target 50%, reduced by distance from center of impact. Has five(5) charges. Charges recover at midnight or by transferring 5 Mana.

<I maaaaay have spent 5000 Shop Points for this bad boy... but it's so worth it. With my Magic stat of 20, I have an internal reserve of 200 Mana Points. Might be quite a lot, but it's really not. With my current 'Skill' and 'Spell' selection and Levels, I can hardly hold off a small group of thugs, let alone armies of people. But with this? I can tilt the balance of power in my favor, making things safer for me. Better to be sure that be dead. Not only that, this can be improved with Upgrade Points.>

<Upgrade points are really versatile and very powerful. IT can be used on anything, changing the item's parameters and capabilities into better ones. With just 100 Upgrade Points, I turned my PC into a beast of a machine that will put even the most advanced desktop PC to shame, and can even compete with lower-end supercomputers. If I have 11000 Upgrade Points, which I don't have right now - with my previous buying spree, this can be transformed into a quantum supercomputer that will outperform any computer currently on the market.>

<To think, I was just a normal schmuck who can't even hold a job for more than a week. Now, I'm the only person in the planet that has full access to Magic and knowledge on how to wield it properly. Goddamn.>

"Yes, I am still going to teach you viewers about magic. But in this lesson, I will teach one of the more... 'subtle'... Magical subjects."

"And I quote a line from a famous movie about Magic, 'I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even put a stopper in death.'"

"Our lesson for today... is about Alchemy."

"Yes... Alchemy. The earlier line might be a bit misleading for some of you, but Potion-making is still a part of Alchemy. Because today..."

'Thud!' And a small, clear glass jar, filled up with some kind of waxy paste, is placed on the table in front of the camera.

"I'm going to teach you, my viewers, how to make a potion."

"This here" The camera zooms in on the jar. "is a jar of Wound Healing Salve. Yes.. I know, it's a salve. But Alchemy - and Potioneering in particular - is not just about liquid concoctions, draughts and brews. Pastes, salves, unguents, gels... even pills and powders. Alchemy is not really picky on what will the end product look like. As long as it works, it's fine."

"And this salve can also be ingested orally if needed... like if you need to patch up an internal wound, or the injury is too extensive or too painful for the salve to be applied on. Just add some hot water and down the hatch it goes. Not as good as a real Healing Draught, but it gets the job done."

"Might seem a bit too... mundane, if you think about it. But this thing is nothing but 'ordinary'. It can accelerate wound healing by at least 10 times. You're not hearing me wrong... this salve cut down wound healing time drastically. Very useful for treating wounds like cuts and scrapes. Instead of waiting for a quite lengthy period of time for the wound to heal naturally, this salve can cut down that time to a fraction. Even less, if the quality of the salve is higher... like this one I have here."

"Here... I've uploaded the recipe to my filesite. Follow this link I'm posting right now on chat to get the recipe."

"This is an easy recipe to follow. You'll just need to prepare the ingredients, mash them up a bit, cook them down into a paste, and mix them together with the binding agent."

"Okay... first off, the tools and utensils. We need something to turn the ingredients into a fine paste. You can use a mortar and pestle, if you want to do it 'old-school'. But I recommend using a food processor or a puree machine, especially for those who are unused to hard labor. Trust me, you'll thank me later."

"We'll also need a container for heating the binding agent. For this, we'll use the Bain-marie technique. And yes, chat... cooking is part and parcel of Alchemy. Being a good cook will be helpful."

"Now, saucepan to heat the water. A bowl to melt down the binding agent. Use something made of copper, glass or ceramic. Don't use cast-iron or steel... that will ruin the salve. That goes as well for any mixing utensils. No iron or steel, period. If you do so, then say bye-bye to your salve. Bad things will happen, I assure you. This is my final warning."

"This recipe will require open flame. So you can't use an electric or induction stove, as it won't work."

"The container we'll use to store the final product can be anything you want, as long as it clean and sanitized. You can now use any iron or steel container, since the salve is finished and it will no longer react to the iron. It's safe and inert now."

"Also, you might see a diagram included in the recipe. This is REQUIRED. This is the Alchemy part of the recipe. Without this step,  what you made earlier is just plain garbage. It' worth nothing... no use at all. You just wasted your time, effort and resource to make an unusable slurry, fit for the trash."

"Okay... moving on to the process of making the salve. First off... the diagram. You have to print it in a plain, white bond or copy paper, Letter size. Don't resize the diagram - it's useless as deviations will render it unusable. Those are important since magic diagrams - and Rituals in general - are exacting. Set it aside. We'll need this later, so keep it close."

"Then we need to peel of the skins of ALL the ingredients we have. Grind them all down or use the food processor, which I'm doing right now, into a very fine paste. The finer it is, the better your salve will be."

"On the saucepan, fill it with just enough water that it will not touch the bottom of the bowl. Then heat it up until the water is just simmering. Place the bowl on top. Then in goes the binding agent - which can be lard, petroleum jelly, beeswax... even carnauba wax if you're a vegan - into the bowl. Heat it up until the binding just melts."

"Mix in the paste that we created earlier into the binding agent. Stir or whisk until the paste is evenly mixed into the binding agent. Remove bowl off the heat and set aside to cool. Lay down the diagram we printed earlier onto a flat, heat-resistant surface. It doesn't need to be fire-proof, just heat-resistant enough that it won't conduct heat away or easily catch on fire. Ceramic tile is best for  this. Then place the bowl with the mixture on top of the diagram."

"Now... here is where the Magic part of Alchemy comes into play."

"You don't need to do this part as soon as the mixture is prepared, but the quality of the salve might lower.'

"In the recipe, there is also an incantation. If can be chanted in any language you want, but it's better if you do this in plain English, since I prepared it that way. And don't use machine translation to convert this into your language, since any error in the incantation will render it useless."

Then the Online Sage begun chanting. The words were plain English, and he uttered them like he's just reading a book in front of the class. But something unusual is happening. The words brings a haunting feeling to anyone watching, the voice acquiring a melodic undertone. The voice crescendos, filling the viewers' head with nothing but the words itself.

As he continues chanting, the diagram starts glowing, a dim light emanating from it. Specks of dim light gather around the diagram, like moths gathering to a flame. The gathering specks increased every second as the chanting continues unabated. And then, the specks of light suddenly went still. In a flash, the numerous lights specks slammed down into the diagram, seeping into it like a sponge absorbing water. The diagram's glow intensifies, now filling the camera view with a soft light. The diagram flashed 7 times, each flash a different color of the rainbow. It is a wondrous sight.

The chanting stops. Everything is quiet. The glow dims into nothingness.

"There we go. Okay... I'll need a bit of water after that. That chanting really parches the throat. Two minutes of continuous chanting... that's really harsh for anyone not used to it. And if you're making a bigger batch, you'll even need to chant longer. You can't make a bigger batch without costing you more time and effort. The more salve you want to convert, the more energy the diagram need to gather. And that means a longer chant. It's proportional. And that seven flashes of rainbow light is the signal that the ritual is successful."

"And yes... you can do this without chanting. But with this diagram, anyone can create a Wound Healing Salve. Even those that haven't unlocked their Magical potential and became a Magician can still create this. For those that are already Magicians or other kinds of Magic user, like our Spirit Summoner, can just feed Mana directly into the diagram. It was designed to be used either way."

"And here it is... a newly-prepared batch of Wound Healing Salve! And this one is just as good as the other one I have."

"And if  you don't believe... I'll demonstrate."

The man brandished a knife to the camera. And then slashed it to the palm of his left hand.

"Ouch! I forgot how much that hurts. I might get censored for this demonstration. But this will show any unbelievers in the chat how effective this salve is."

He then proceeded to slather the salve salve he had just prepared earlier onto the wound. Miraculously, the wound stopped bleeding immediately. No scabs formed, the salve sealing the wound completely.

"See... the bleeding stopped as soon as I applied it. It sealed the wound completely, no need for scabbing to seal the wound. Heck, I can even use this hand normally."

And then he proceed to close and open his hand in front of the camera.

"No pain in the wound, since the salve also acts as an antiseptic, painkiller and sealant, as well as its main purpose of hastening the wound healing rate.

"The best part of all? No scars! You heard me right, chat... no scars. The lovely ladies viewing this livestream will like that a lot, I'm sure."

"But there are things that this slave CANNOT do. This cannot regenerate cut-off limbs and other body parts. This only accelerates the healing rate of wounds, not regenerate lost body parts. You can reconnect FRESHLY cut-off parts with the salve. Lather the salve quite thickly on the cut-off ends, then stick the cut-off body part precisely into the area it originated from. Hold it in to place, and let the slave reconnect the part back into the body."

"Just don't do this with a cut-off head. It won't work... unless the head is still working properly."
