It was day of the Emperor's Birthday Banquet. Su Ying was perfectly ready. His plan went smooth with the help of his hubby and all the talented servants. Su Ying dressed himself in a gorgeous YInMn blue custom-made hanfu with simple but elegant patterns. He tied a little portion of his mulberry silk hair with an excellent blue jade while letting rest of hair flow down his back. 

He tinted his rosy lips, making them look exquisite crimson. Paired with his beautiful eyes and snow white skin, he looked extremely beautiful. 

Yusheng, who was forced into wearing a same colored changshan made from the same material as his wife' cloth, felt like his heart was about to come out of his rib cage. His cutely fierce wife...was too beautiful. Incomparably beautiful. How could he take his beautiful wife outside to let other people see him? He didn't want to! What if those people lust after his wife? His possessive self won't allow that. He went and wrapped his arm around his wife's waist. Yusheng escorted his beautiful wife while holding his hand gently. Su Ying softly smiled at his husband. At which, the cold general's lips quirked up. 

WAIT! What kind of heavenly beauty was that! They looked like a match made in heaven! Look at that heavenly light surrounding them! And most importantly... 

The cold general smiled! He smiled! 

Everyone couldn't close their mouth. Such a gorgeous wife, it was natural that even the general would lose his head ah! 

Su Ying went along with his husband to greet the Emperor who's belly trembled even if he was just breathing. 

"Greetings the Son of the Heaven. May your majesty live one thousand years."

"Hohohohoho..." The Emperor laughed. 

Wait... This laughter sounds familer. Where did Su Ying hear it??? 

He didn't have that much to think because the Emperor started saying, 

"Yusheng, as I said before... Both of you are really a jade couple. Look! Everyone is so surprised. We feel like we're no longer the center of the attention... Hohohohoho..." 

Again... Why did it sound familar? 

Su Ying smiled as he said to the Emperor, 

"Not at all your majesty. If your majesty gives me permission, I would like show my present for you which I exclusively made. Only by getting your majesty's opinion, I'll be able to rest assure."

The Emperor laughed, 

"Hohoho... Show us what you brought."

Su Ying smiled as he said, 

"I have heard that your majesty values rare and savoring delicacies. That's why, I've made an attempt to represent a delicacy to you. I've already taken it for a poison check. If your majesty feels that it isn't enough..."

"Hohoho... Don't worry about that... Show me what delicacy you brought..."

Su Ying smirked in his heart. As he heard, the beer belied Emperor is really a foodie like him. 

He presented the ultimate item he made *cough* asked chef Han to make. 

Delicious aromas spread in the hall. Everyone couldn't help but look at the thing Su Ying brought. 

"Your majesty, this delicacy is called pizza. It was the great Raffaele Esposito who invented this savory dish."

Take that huh! Who doesn't like pizza? If you are a foodie, you must like pizza! That's what Su Ying, who had heard all sorts of exciting stories about pizza thought.

"Pisa? Raff- who?" The Emperor asked. Poor ancient people can't pronounce that. 

"He was a great Saint." Su Ying used his secret weapon to shed some tears. "I...I wanted to give your majesty a wonderful present. But I couldn't think of anything. That day... I was too tired and fell asleep. Then I saw a dream. I heard someone telling me about this rare delicacy and made me swear not to leak it.

I still  wanted to get everyone's approval... My love and loyalty for my husband gives me strength to bear everything. I...I'm sorry for ruining the atmosphere. Even though the gift isn't too much, I hope your majesty likes it."

Yusheng couldn't watch his wife cry even if it was fake. But if his wife was crying in bed, then it was a totally different story. He moved his hands and wiped his wife's 'tears'. Everyone couldn't help but feel sad when they watched the beauty crying. 

Seriously... Onions should be banned from being used as a weapon that can make people gain sympathy by fake crying. 

The Emperor was distressed, 

"Who said you're not suitable for Yusheng? We approve of you. We can claim that no one under the heaven except for you has the right to be next to Yusheng. Beacuse of you, Yusheng has become happier. Even his personality has become softer. Both of you really match each other. Those who says the otherwise, raise your voice. We'll personally teach them. 

Look... Even the mysterious power has favored you. Look at the delicacy you made! We can assure that you're perfect for Yusheng. It is Yusheng who might be a little unworthy for you."

Everyone nodded in agreement. 

Yusheng,"............"

Really, nowadays, anyone can be bought even  with food. Humanity is degenerating. 

The Emperor's eyes widened as he tasted the pizza. So delicious! 

"Su Ying, we really like your present. Tell us, is there something you want?" 

Su Ying pretended to think for a while before saying while showing a smile that hid his confident beneath, 

"Your majesty... I'm glad that you liked my present. I don't really want anything except for being approved as the *Madam Li. I hope that you can ensure my reputation and position in the Empire as General Li's wife as I would be by husband' side, making our decisions together. I also wish that no one will threaten my position in the future."

*By Madam Li, I don't mean the matriarch of the Li family. It means to be the sole partner and wife of Yusheng. 

Hehe... The Emperor was indeed a wise man. He understood what Su Ying said. 

Su Ying wanted to be 'Madam Li', not only Yusheng's wife. Which meant that he would become Yusheng's ultimate partner and even if someone was from a high position, they won't be able to marry Yusheng as a wife and only will be able to become his concubine which they probably won't do unless they are Yao Mingli. And whether someone from lower class than Su Ying was to become Yusheng' concubine will depend on both Yusheng and Su Ying's decisions. "Then We can easily make your wish come true. No one can shaken your position as Madam Li, Yusheng' only wife. Su Ying, you've won my favor."

The Empress thought that she should be direct. She thought Yusheng would never shame her if she does that.

My marriage and other decisions are left to him as I trust my wife.
