"Senior martial brother Zhi." He cupped his fists and bowed in the hope of leaving Zhi Guan with the best possible impression.

Zhi Guan Continued to look at him, not actually caring about getting a proper greeting. In any case, manners were not that important to him. He would be much more interested to see how well Mei Chao Bing was able to use his sword. But right now wasn’t the moment to talk about that. That would have to wait until later. "Is this your group?" From what he knew, Mei Chao Bing’s level should be quite high so it would make sense.

Mei Chao Bing was slightly taken aback. He wasn’t sure if Elder Baili had said anything but right now, this was more or less Song Mu’s group. Then again … "Actually, we are two groups. One is led by me and one by junior martial brother Song." He turned to motion at him, feeling a bit strange when he said so. After all, they had always treated this as one group that was led by only one person to make sure that there wouldn’t be any problems just because they were of a different opinion.

But in this case, he really didn’t want to say that he had nothing to do with leading this group. This was Yun Bei Fen’s senior martial brother after all. It might be stupid but he did want to impress him. After all, Yun Bei Fen didn’t have family anymore but he knew that he was very close to his Master and his three senior martial brothers.

Obviously, Elder Baili had already accepted him even though he sometimes seemed a little miffed. But he wasn’t quite sure what the stance of Yun Bei Fen’s senior martial brothers was regarding him. Most likely, they didn’t even know about their relationship yet. That did worry him somewhat. Who knew if his little bunny would be able to be happy with him if his senior martial brothers didn’t agree after all? That was a question worth pondering.

Naturally, he hoped that it would never come to the point where Yun Bei Fen would have to choose between them. Thus, he would naturally do his best to facilitate a good relationship between him and those three. Since he was now meeting Zhi Guan for the first time after being officially engaged to Yun Bei Fen, this was probably the moment where he had the first chance to do so. He didn’t want to waste it.

While Mei Chao Bing was worrying a lot, Zhi Guan wasn’t thinking too much. He looked from one person to the other and then back, getting straight to the point. "Is there anything that you still need to do here? Otherwise, I would suggest that we leave as soon as possible." His Master might not have given him a more specific time but he felt that it would be best if his little junior was back at their sect’s camp soon. After all, nothing much could happen there.

Mei Chao Bing and Song Mu exchanged another glance. In any case, there wasn’t much to say. They had been looking for an excuse anyway.

Song Mu waved for Mei Chao Bing to take over and kept quiet himself.

Mei Chao Bing couldn’t help but feel grateful. Even though his relationship with Song Mu definitely wasn’t what it had been once, it was nice to see that at this moment, this former friend of his was willing to treat him like this.

He turned back to Zhi Guan to answer his question. "In fact, we were looking for a reason to return already so there isn’t anything that we still need to do. We probably just need to tell the Elder of the Jian Chu Sect that we have to go.

"I think junior martial brother Song could do that immediately and then we could use the rest of the day to rest and set off tomorrow morning. It is going to be dark soon after all. I’m afraid that we won’t be able to cover much of a distance."

Zhi Guan glanced at the sky, feeling that it was actually still quite some time until it would be dark but then he glanced at his little junior who was curiously looking back at him. Well, with disciples like Yun Bei Fen, it was probably true that they would not be able to cover much of a distance.

Realizing this, he nodded. "That does sound like a good suggestion. We’ll do it that way then." He turned away and gave Yun Bei Fen a smile, patting his head once more. "Then do you want to tell me what else happened? I heard somebody was making trouble for you before?"

Yun Bei Fen blinked his eyes in confusion, unsure what Zhi Guan meant at first.

Meanwhile, the others went back to their own training while Song Mu went to speak with Elder Cai. He was actually a little relieved that Zhi Guan had come. For one, they could return, and second, Zhi Guan was also at a high-level. That would mean that their group that had lost two people was now stronger than before.

When Song Mu entered the house, Elder Cai couldn’t help but be surprised. "Did something happen in the Teng Yong Sect’s camp?"

Song Mu nodded. In any case, they couldn’t pretend that there was nothing and still request to go home. "Yes. The Elders sent somebody to inform us that one of the groups of our disciples was attacked, with some of them being captured. When investigating this, they were able to free one of the disciples. They want us to return as soon as possible. So if the Jian Chu Sect doesn’t need to stay any longer, we would like to return tomorrow. There is still quite some time needed to return to our sect after all."

Well, what was Elder Cai supposed to say? Even if he would’ve liked to keep them there longer, this was a valid reason to want to return. Thus, he could only nod. "Very well. Make sure that you stay safe."

"Thank you for your concern, Elder Cai. We will be vigilant. Since we already know that one of the groups was attacked, none of us would dare to take this lightly."
