It's been some time since the last chapter. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about this story, I am merely waiting for something to happen in the main story so the next regular episode will make more sense. Also, I'm pretty busy with my main projects if I'm being honest so this is taking a bit of a backseat. I do have a short 3-part winter special for you though, that I'll be slowly uploading over the rest of the week. I hope you'll like it!

Yun Bei Fen opened his eyes, stretched, and pushed away the blanket. Rubbing his tired eyes, he finally got up and put on his outer robe before he went down to see if his third senior martial brother had made breakfast yet.

When he reached the room, there was nothing to be seen of either the food or his third senior martial brother though. He pursed his lips and pondered for a moment. Finally, he ran to the door. Most likely, his third senior martial brother was sleeping in again. He should go and wake him up!

He stretched and opened the door, only to find that the sect had changed overnight. Yun Bei Fen rubbed his eyes to make sure that he wasn’t imagining things but everything stayed the same: The usual green hills had suddenly all turned white and were sparkling in the morning sun.

He crouched down and poked at the ground, his eyes finally lighting up when a small hole appeared in the snow. He forgot about waking up his third senior martial brother to get breakfast and instead ran to his first senior martial brother’s house.

At this moment, Zhi Guan was already up, training his sword arts behind the house. There were clear footsteps in the snow and a few traces where his attacks had hit.

Yun Bei Fen rushed over and waited outside the circle of the traces, excitedly looking at his first senior martial brother.

Zhi Guan lowered his sword after finishing his next move and turned to look at this little junior of his. "What’s the matter?"

"There’s snow, first senior martial brother!" Yun Bei Fen rushed over now that his first senior martial brother wasn’t waving a sword anymore and clasped his leg, looking up at him happily.

Zhi Guan stared at him for a moment and then reached down, rubbing his little head. "I see."

Yun Bei Fen beamed and then let go of him. "I’m going to tell second senior martial brother!"

Zhi Guan gave a hum in response. "Do that."

Yun Bei Fen happily turned around and rushed off. Zhi Guan continued to look at him for a moment before he finally shook his head and went back to practicing. In any case, it was good as long as their little junior was having fun.

When Yun Bei Fen arrived at his second senior martial brother’s house, he knocked on the door. Contrary to Zhi Guan, he had found out that Yan Hong Min would usually stay inside. Sometimes, he just wouldn’t answer when he knocked so when there was no response this time either, he just opened the door and then rushed over to his study.

His second senior martial brother was currently sitting at his desk, a bowl in front of him in which he was crushing some kind of powder.

Yun Bei Fen had no idea what this was but he still rushed over and gripped his senior martial brother’s arm. "Second senior martial brother, there is snow outside!"

Yan Hong Min was startled and almost let go of the pestle. He caught it at the last moment and heaved a sigh of relief. Pushing the bowl away to make sure that none of this precious powder would be lost, he turned to his little junior. "What did you just say?"

Yun Bei Fen scrunched up his face. His second senior martial brother was always like this. He just wouldn’t listen to him! "I said there is snow outside."

Yan Hon Ming nodded faintly. "Oh. Yeah, I’ve seen already."

Yun Bei Fen’s expression dimmed. Why wasn’t his second senior martial brother happy at all? Didn’t he like snow?

Seeing Yun Bei Fen’s expression, Yan Hong Min’s lips couldn’t help but twitch. This little bunny … What was he supposed to do with him? He cleared his throat and then dusted off his fingers. "Oh, so there’s snow. Ah, what do you want to do with it?"

Yun Bei Fen blinked his eyes. "Do with it? What do you normally do with snow?"

Yan Hong Min was stunned for a moment but after thinking it through, his lips actually curved up in a smile. "Oh, well, I do have an idea for that."

"An idea? What kind of idea?" Yun Bei Fen eagerly shook Yan Hong Min’s sleeve, wanting to know what this was about.

Yan Hong Min plucked his fingers off his sleeve and just smiled mysteriously though. "Well, I can’t tell you yet. It’ll be a surprise. But I’m sure you’ll like it. Just do me a favor and tell first senior martial brother and third junior martial brother about it. Let’s say … we will meet in two hours." Yes, two hours seemed to be enough to prepare everything.

Yun Bei Fen was a little confused but if this was what his second senior martial brother said, then he would do so. "Alright. I’ll tell them."

With that, he turned around and then rushed over to his third senior martial brother’s house. He knocked and then waited outside. In any case, while third senior martial brother sometimes also couldn’t hear him, he usually still came out to look at who had just knocked. He was just a bit slower. But he would never ignore him like second senior martial brother did. Third senior martial brother was definitely much nicer. Thus, he waited for a moment and then knocked again. Not only did he have to tell him that there was snow outside, but he also had to tell him that second senior martial brother wanted to see them soon. This was very important!

Inside the room, Luo Lin raised his head and looked in the direction of the door.

Shen Lei raised his brows and grabbed his neck, trying to pull him down again. "What’s the matter, little fairy? Don’t you think they’ll have a bit more time? There is no reason to run outside as soon as somebody knocks, is there?"

Luo Lin gave a hum but he couldn’t help but feel like he had forgotten about something. "What if it is important though? Luo Lin wouldn’t want to disappoint whoever is in front of the door." He sat up completely but his fingers were still stroking Shen Lei’s chest. He also didn’t really want to go outside right now.

Shen Lei gave a hum and rubbed his side, his expression playful. "My little fairy is so responsible. But just think about how early it still is. Who could be coming to see you at this hour of the day?"

Luo Lin almost seemed to be convinced when he suddenly blinked his eyes and then jumped off his lover’s body and went to put on his inner robe.

"Little fairy?" Shen Lei sat up, pulling the blanket to cover himself, and tilted his head to look out of the door where Luo Lin had vanished. Just what had his little fairy remembered just now?

At this time, Luo Lin already opened the door and greeted Yun Bei Fen with a smile. "Little junior, there you are! Your third senior martial brother just wanted to come over to make breakfast for you." He had spent quite a bit of time to learn how to do so from Shen Lei so since then, this task had fallen onto his shoulders. He couldn’t believe that he had actually forgotten about Yun Bei Fen this morning because he had still been busy with Shen Lei. Ah, this really shouldn’t have happened!

Yun Bei Fen who had already forgotten about breakfast just blinked his eyes. Then, he tugged at his third senior martial brother’s sleeve and pointed outside. "There’s snow, third senior martial brother!"

Luo Lin looked out and then nodded. "You’re right. Very beautiful, isn’t it?" He patted his head, giving him a bright smile.

Yun Bei Fen happily smiled as well and nodded. "It is! Ah, second senior martial brother told me that we should meet up in two hours."

Luo Lin raised his brows. "Oh? What for?"

Yun Bei Fen shook his head though. "He didn’t want to say. He just said that it would be a surprise."

Luo Lin lightly pursed his lips. Knowing that rascal, it likely wouldn’t be anything good. He should better prepare well and take Shen Lei along just in case. He definitely couldn’t let his second senior martial brother bully him. "Well, we should better be there at that time then. Did second senior martial brother say anything else?"

Yun Bei Fen pondered but then shook his head. "No, he only said that I should tell you and first senior martial brother. Do you think I should tell Master as well?"

Luo Lin pondered and then showed a mischievous smile. "Well, if he didn’t explicitly say that you shouldn’t, then you probably should. I’m sure that whatever kind of surprise second senior martial brother has, it would be very interesting to Master as well. Ah, how about this? Since first senior martial brother and I should be there in two hours, just tell Master he should be there an hour later. That way, if it’s a surprise that Master isn’t supposed to see immediately, we can still prepare something else."

Yun Bei Fen nodded hurriedly. "Third senior martial brother is so smart!"

Luo Lin nodded and then patted his head again. "And our little Fen’er is the cutest. Now, you can go and tell your first senior martial brother, I’ll go and make your food."

Yun Bei Fen nodded and then ran off back to Zhi Guan’s house, informing him of what Yan Hong Min had said as well before he returned to his own place to eat the breakfast Luo Lin had brought with him.
