Chapter 4

Some time after I went home with skeleton I tested how it works with him, and I obtained some information.

It must hear my order, no telepathy or anything,

It's movements are quite simple,

I think it won't beat that bear in combat alone.

"Maybe I should make him ranged support archer? I still have 20c from before."

I look trough the shop and find weapon tab with sub tab of bows.

Simple Short Bow 10c Simple Long Bow 20c

"Hmm, I have two choices, but that skeleton probably can only hit something on short distance. I should conserve 10c too if I want second archer."

"Let's buy it"

"Ooh!"

I see light and bow materializes before me, something not right? Where are my arrows? And quiver?

So it's just a bow. Good thing I saved 10c. It wouldn't do without arrows.

I check shop again in supplies category.

Crude Arrow x20 5c Leather Quiver 5c

Just 10c, ...all my savings gone to shit. I look at the skeleton.

"You better hit accurately." I give it the bow, and quiver with arrows.

It wore quiver around the shoulder and takes simple stance.

It looks like skeletons have basic understanding of weapon. We walk outside.

I again point at tree. "Shoot" It loads arrow in the bow and shoots.

"It missed" Was 20m too far? We close in, I point and it shoots again.

Swoosh...hit

Finally, he should be useful now.

"After each fight you must retrieve your arrows. Now, bring back these two that you shoot."

It runs off as I think that I can't always call it 'it'.

"From now on you are called The First."

First comes back with full quiver, good. I smile.

"Now we should find some new prey to bring into existence your brother First."

I raise binocular bonded to my neck and look around.

"There it is." Another boar.

I close in, while ordering First to take position in hiding and attack on my signal.

Boar haven't discovered my presence yet.

I remember now I bought Dark bolt spell, let's see how real magic works.

I silently say. "Dark bolt" while pointing my palm in boar direction.

I sense magic gathering from myself and dark circling ball forming in my hand shortly before firing.

As bolt flies at the boar I shout. "Attack!"

Dark bolt hits boar in the middle of the side. It screams painfully, I see that it's wound is black and crushed. It broke a rib bone I think. Next I see arrow hitting the boar as it was starting to turn to the direction from where spell flew.

It pierced it left rear leg.

It's slowed down. It should be easy now, I charge at boar."Aaargh" I cry in pain as something hits me when I'm half the way to boar.

I fly 2 meters and crash as my head is spinning, but nothing like pain in my left shoulder.

I look at my nemesis. It's ...boar, there was another one in place where I didn't see, It must've heard cry of pain from it's comrade. I slowly get up and see it staring angry at me.

Next moment arrow hits it neck. It cries like being slaughtered, but keeps staring at me with murderous gaze.

One arrow is not enough, I back up slowly but it starts charging.

"I'm in deep shit." I can only use right hand as left is in pain.

I point the spear like knight would in tournament. Another arrow flies, it hits it's belly.

Just before collision I jump in it's direction and sideways, piercing it's shoulder.

It stumbles and falls. "If I hadn't had archer nearby it would end worse than shoulder in pain."

I pierce monster neck, screen appears.

I fall to my knees breathing heavily, it was hard. I should be more carefully next time.

I see First coming from the bushes, I guess he remembers order of retrieving arrows.

"After you are done, kill that other boar."

After it dies pitifully, I don't get even another level.

"It wouldn't be that easy heh."

I sit there while looking at status.

"Status"

"I earned 3 copper from 2 kills? Not that much." I stand up and look at my body.

"What should I invest those 0.4 points?" That's right level up grants me 0.4 points, making it possible to go all round, but let's keep it in body for now. It's a bit painful in my shoulder, so some vitality?

and round it a bit with strength.

I feel slightly less pain, I should focus on my strength and vitality for now to increase my survivability.

Looking at First standing nearby, I use Rise skeleton 2 times more.

Large amount of magic leaves my body, I feel like I haven't slept for days.

I slowly loose consciousness, but before that shout to First to defend me with his brothers.

I woke up due to loud sounds.

"Shit, what are you undead doing to Thomas!!!"

I hear loud crash. Snapping my eyes open due to commotion I remember what happened just before I lost consciousness.

I see my neighbor fighting 2 of my bare boned skeletons with his axe while jumping sideways to dodge the arrows of First.

It's Jeremy. I stand while looking at this scene from fantasies.

"Thomas! I saw those skeletons circling you! They must want to make you undead or something!" He cries.

"First and two other skeletons, stop fighting, he isn't enemy." I say while walking to Jeremy.

Jeremy is strong built laborer, he should be before 30 years of age by now, He has short black hair with light blue eyes and beard of real lumberjack, not even mentioning axe in his hands which suits him. 

He should be just after work now since he wears his work clothes, plastic secure helm with yellow rough material clothes.
"Jeremy what are you doing here?"

"I just went back from work due to these blue screens  appearing to everyone. But more importantly, what the hell man! Do you control these things? Are you some kind of mage?" He asks while being wary of my undead.

"These are skeletons I created, I'm Necromancer."

"So you really are some kind of mage, cool stuff, but how did you do that?"

"Have you killed any monsters on your way here?"

"No but I crashed into some boar near here, I got the rest by foot."

"Your car works?" I ask doubtfully, cars shouldn't work.

"Don't you remember my car is old version with almost no electronics? I can turn on the engine but it's a bit bothersome, well it all meters not by now."

"Why?"

"I just said I crashed into a boar. The car is wreck now."

"You said not far, where is it? Let's go there."

"Okay, but you must tell me how you become master of three god damn skeletons."

"Don't worry." I say as we start walking in our flat direction.

"So when this timer gone off. You become Necromancer?"

"Not in an instant, I will show you in a moment." We walk a bit before spotting car with fire with big chunk of meat under it.

"So this is the place." I comment.

"Right" Jeremy says.

"Let's kill that boar."

"Hmm? Why would you want to kill a boar, to relieve it off misery?" He looks between me and boar confused.

"You know nothing, it's monster." 

"Whaat! I thought it was just big boar, seriously. So after I kill it I can have powers too?" He asks excitedly.

"I guess"

He walks carefully with his axe and with all his might hacks at the head of the boar.

What gruesome sight. Can't you be a bit less bloody with this?

"I killed it, what now?"

"Wait, it will come."

"What pow..e..r.s ....AArgh!" He cries from pain.

"It came. After this pain you should understand how it works."

"I feel as if someone gave me new memory."

"I would say transfer of information." I elaborate.

"So I can use status and this shop, right?"

"You can now, but in safe place, let's go home, you can think about it in your apartment."

We walk home. At the door I stop and say.

"Go think about it all and we will meet in 30min, okay?"

"Right." He leaves.

"I didn't think he would return after this count. Bastard in sheep clothes."
