The initial assault of the city turned into a stalemate.
The artillery support reduced the defenses of the main gatehouse to rubble. Using Dachshund as spotter aircraft we continued requesting mortar fire here and there but most of the fight was over.
The allied forces retreated from the vicinity of the city and set up a proper blockade and sieged the defenders.
A GRU squad managed to make its way inside the city and marked several high-priority targets. Currently they are out of our reach as the civilians are too close.
Our current objective is to wait for a good moment to strike. We will break through the second gatehouse, that was left intact. For now, we are set up near the second position to keep the enemy focused here.

I jumped down from my tribune – the engine cover. Our little council confirmed and approved of my plan, so now I will follow this route of doing things.
“It’s becoming hotter, right?” I shook the collar of the uniform to ventilate.
“I think it’s just you. Hey, Old man, are you grand-granddaughters overheat fast as well?” Jester patted my head. I will find him a good use later.

I stopped them when I heard a helicopter approaching.
“You are so slow… Only page 16 of 195! Well then, we will continue the next time I will be punishing you. Dismissed!” I put a bookmark at the page where we stopped. The book itself will be hidden in a different place, to avoid them meddling with it.
After I was done with hiding the ultimate strategic weapon of punishment, I approached two men who were sitting by the tank track in prostration.

“To kill any desire of us trying to make you follow the Regulations...” (O)
“Good to see you understanding. I am fine with having some liberties, just keep at least some discipline and subordination. Am I clear?”

A huge shadow appeared above us and with thundering noise started descending.

Quality content as usual. Poor Old Man he didn't deserve the Ultimate strategic weapon of punishment, he should have gotten the bucket of soap water. Though Jester deserved every last letter of it.
Militaries around the world does that as punishment all the time and poor Jester always the one who complains the most and the one punished the most
