Ethan exited the portal and took out every Dreamnight fruit he collected. Fifteen in total. They were rather hard to find.

Six should be fine.

He crushed the fruit, pushed the bear's jaws, and squeezed the pulp inside. He repeated the process five more times and plopped down on the floor.

He had no injuries, just exhaustion wearing his spirit down.

"Absorbing the Source, huh," he muttered.

This wasn't what he had in mind for leveling up. Any level up during a battle could lead to his death. His enemies wouldn't be retarded enough to wait until his headache stops.

"Master, we can go to a better place to level up once we step into the realm of Iron-rankers."

"Where is that?"

"I will tell you once we become Iron-rankers."

"Sure… I wanna learn more about what's outside of this forest. Which city is the nearest?"

"From where we first met, the closest civilization is... Eclipse Duchy, based in the northern area of the Kingdom of Trista. It was given to my son for his merits."

Ethan cursed himself for unintentionally bringing up Alyssia's past. He scratched her little head with a finger. "Do you know that rune mark on the goblin's hand?"

Alyssia shook her head. "I have seen Rune Enchantment on items before but nothing remotely similar to this. I feel it's created as a replica of a spirit organ."

"Spirit organ?"

Alyssia flipped around and pointed at her horn. "It's this. Every Spirit Beast has one. I have the horn, shadow rabbit has fur, dream bear has that blue skin part, the silver spider has their jaws, the scavenger wolves have fangs and eyes; the dual spirit organs make them one of the deadliest in this forest."

Ethan recalled something similar from the novels. "So it's like a magic conductor?"

"Yes, unlike Spirit Beasts, the human race can't access their elemental force pool without gaining any Aspect related to the natural elements. That's why the title 'Magician' has more or less the same influence as an 'Honored Knight'."

He nodded his head in understanding. "This rune kind of bypasses that rule, allowing anyone to unlock their elemental force pool."

"We had the same thought, Master."

"Interesting. Can we copy it?"

"Don't, Master. Rune Enchanting is one of the hardest professions because the delicacy of each syllable affects the entire rune. A small mistake can blow up the entire rune."

"Then bringing this guy over was useless?"

"We can feed him to the dream bear."

Ethan nodded and slumped against the smooth fur of his new pet. He fought enough for today. Unlocking the Wind Aspect will be better on Earth. The mythic-ranked skill made him skeptical about this world's mechanics.

I should sleep or I will end up sleeping in the class.

The silver moss inside the cavern twinkled. Alyssia curled up on his lap, along with Lulu and a few other shadow rabbits. He closed his eyes with a tiny smile on his face.

Sometime later, a feeling Ethan was accustomed to, swept over him. His eyes opened to the ceiling of his room. He wriggled out of Mio and Celia's hug.

How do they get me this quickly?

Or does he lose every sense after he teleports? That also explained why Gryven was able to snatch his bag without stirring him.

He sighed and stared at the two girls. The rich heiress wore a baggy gray shirt, revealing her belly and her black panties. Contrary to Celia, Mio slept in a pure nightdress.

Is this the combo of Heaven and Hell?

Ethan gulped and staggered out of sight stimulating his teenage hormones. He swallowed an entire bottle of water in the kitchen and glanced at the clock on the wall.

6:13.

Morning?

He dragged himself to the roof and leaned on the railing. The sun was still stalking the dark sky from the horizon, birds stretching their wings.

The god he prayed to heard him and returned him way earlier than the last time.

A breath of fresh air tickled his senses.

Avalon's air felt more genuine in an inexplicable sense. He should have expected it from a fantasy world.

The door behind him sneakily opened and muffled footsteps followed. He smiled and allowed the culprit to embrace his back.

"Found ya!"

"Mio, what are you doing?"

"Hugging my beloved brother."

"Brother, huh."

"Correction. My beloved man."

That sounded a bit better.

"Well, we should prepare for school. It's our last year as a high school student."

Mio slipped past him and settled into his embrace, her eyes gazing up at him glowed with affection. "Onii-sama, can we… drop by to check on Regina after school?"

Mio still seemed worried about the tenant. Ethan wrapped his arms around her warm body.

"I am fine with it. Let's leave the driving to Celia."

Mio nibbled on her bottom lip. "Why didn't I learn it before...?"

Her depressed whisper forced a chuckle out of him. "I still can't fathom how you two unite at night but keep your rivalry in the day."

A deep red stained Mio's cheeks. She pushed her gaze down, avoiding Ethan's teasing smirk. "It's for Onii-san."

Ethan lifted her chin and kissed her forehead. "I know it must be hard for you to put up with Celia for my sake."

Mio hastily shook her head. "N-No, that bit… that woman isn't bad. I-I just don't think she should be friends with me."

Ethan opened his mouth but couldn't find the words. Fortunately, the heiress answered his call, storming into the balcony.

"Why the hell not?!"

"Because you got one thing wrong," Mio answered without bothering to leave him. "Onii-sama loves me the most, not you, who got rejected before the entire class."

Mio's mockery left Celia gaping, her finger pointing at Mio's back. "You little…"

Ethan could only muster an apologetic smile at Celia's dejected look. She was trying to be friends with Mio, yet the yandere had no plans to accept.

"I have something to share. I reached level four this time."

Celia paused and her eyes slowly widened.

"Thank god!" Celia shouted and leaped at him, forcing him a step back.

"Fuck!" Mio cursed as she was sandwiched between then, her soft boobs squashing on his chest.

Ethan shoved the heiress aside and let Mio take a breath. Before they got into another fight, he recounted his experience in Avalon.

The two cheered up. Mio skipped cheerily on the stairs and went to do her magic in the kitchen. Celia smirked and surprised him with a kiss on his lips.

"You make me proud."

"..."

"Go, take a bath. I already prepared water for you."

"Thanks."

"I know the answer, still, let me join you!"

Ethan pushed her face away. "Can you two stop seducing me already? I don't want to jump into a sexual relationship right off the bat."

Celia clicked her tongue, though the smile on her face was as wide as it could get. "Darling, I am seriously in love with you. However unbearable it may feel, I can wait for you."

"Thanks…" he whispered his gratitude and made his way to the shower.

An hour later, Ethan and Mio slithered into the backseat of Celia's car. Mio's triumphant look and Celia's slumped shoulders made him chuckle. They had a duel in a fighting game and the winner will get to sit with him. Mio easily wiped the floor with Celia, the filthy casual pay-to-winner.

"Ethan, you too…"

"Forgive me, I will sit with you next time, okay?"

"Yay!"

"Onii-sama, you cheater!"

Ethan lifted his hands in surrender.

Messing around with each other, the trio arrived at the school. The cold air greeted Ethan as he got out of the car. The students stopped to look at the guy coming out of Celia's well-known car, his suspicious disguise to be precise.

Mio circled around the car and stood beside him. The simple gesture terrified every woman in the vicinity. Boys remained, their eyes squinting at him.

"Wait for me. I will go park my baby." Celia drove away.

Ethan yawned recalling the nightmarish lectures. Thankfully, he had the ability to talk to Alyssia and learn more about Avalon.
