6: Epilogue

My hair has gone white. Was something causing it, or have I just been fighting for that long? It used to be black... a long, long time ago. How long has it been? I don’t even remember how I got to where I am now. My last memory is entering a room filled with monsters. That room had stone everywhere. Not the green grass I see now… well, blood covered green grass. Perhaps I should clean that up.

… I found the stairs down, but… something’s wrong. It just turns completely black. I gained dark vision a long time ago, so it shouldn’t look like that even if there’s no light.

I took a step and plunged into darkness. What did I have to lose, really? My life hasn’t really been my own in ages.

“Hello. You seem like an excellent candidate for my world. I have need of a demon lord, and a Vampire Queen of your caliber would be perfect.”

“Do I get a choice?”

“Nope, I’m an evil god after all. Hahahaha!”

“Is laughter a requirement for evil?”

“But of course! I can’t be a proper evil god without a proper evil laugh! Mwahahaha!”

“...”

“You’ve got a fine laugh too, y’know. Though I suppose you don’t remember any of those times you laughed so well. You’ll be a great fearsome lady of blood, my dear queen.”

***Author Note***

I don't actually have a story for where she gets sent to, but maybe someday I will.

P.S. I tagged it tragedy, because there's a ton of fridge horror. I just didn't spend any time on those details, but if one really thinks about what it's like to wander a dungeon alone for decades (or more)...

This was supposed to be the end of the story, but I just finished writing a super short second arc... I guess I'll add that in here rather than making a separate entry.
