Chapter 188: Searching through

Taking out the body was something that he didn't want to do. In fact, he liked to run away from this place. If it weren't for the fact that Kang Shuchun is watching him with a close eye, he would be crying.

He quickly bows his head. I'm sorry for defiling your body. Even though he doesn't like Gu Qingshan, Duan Cheng knew desecrating a body is still wrong.

Duan Cheng slowly moves the body out of the trash can. And when he did, Duan Cheng couldn't help but gasp at what Kang Shuchun did to the body.

I think I'm going to throw up.

The thugs could only see the top part of Gu Qingshan's body and his kneecaps, but once he saw his entire body, Duan Cheng could feel his lunch coming up. He wasn't alone as some of the others were crying. It was too horrid for anybody to say anything.

But Duan Cheng still has a job to do. He quickly grabs the phone from the pocket and hands it to Kang Shuchun. Then he walks back over to his comrades and throws up on the spot!

The other thugs quickly came to his aid as they ask, "Boss Duan, are you ok?" Instead of calling him by his full name, the thugs started to call him the boss instead. Compare to things Gu Qingshan has done and then to what Duan Cheng did, the latter has done much more. Duan Cheng had been the only person who kept the group in check and mostly out of trouble.

Duan Cheng has a pale complexion on his face. Tho, he did try to make a calm expression as he smiles, "I'm ok. You guys don't do anything rash." Right now, the person with the most authority is him. If he breaks face now, then the others would probably do something reckless.

When the thugs saw how Duan Cheng is keeping a leveled head even under this situation, they couldn't help but cry. Even if he's struggling, the man is still looking after them.

Dammit, why didn't we listen to you in the beginning?!

Regret fills the other thug's hearts, thinking about how adamant Duan Cheng was not taking this job.

While there was a melodramatic scene going on in the front, Kang Shuchun is too focused on looking through the phone to care about their soap opera moment.

Damn, is it still functional?

When she was handed the phone, it was covered in cracks, and the front screen looked like it's about to fall off. Thankfully, the screen flickers. As she looks through the call records, she turns to Duan Cheng, "What's the number?" She almost forgot that she didn't know the number.

Even though it's a simple question, the scenario was just too weird. It's like the guy in front of her who's throwing up wasn't even happening.

"....It should be listed two days ago with 96 at the end." After haggardly saying this, Duan Cheng went back to throwing up.

Kang Shuchun looked up the call logs, and then her eyes shined when she saw the number.

Got you!

She has finally got the clue to who the culprit was. Her hands start itching again, ready to tear the culprit apart. However, there's some unfinished business.

Now, what should I do with them? Kang Shuchun looks back at the thugs. And when the thugs saw her looking at them, they hoped she would let them go. But the following words made all their hope disappear.

"Since your boss had gone down to the underworld as his henchmen, you guys should join him as well." Of course, killing them all is tedious as there are a lot of necks to snap. But now that she thought about it, letting them leave would be too dangerous.

For starters, if she lets them go, she couldn't see the bunch of thugs to keep their mouths shut to what had happened. And the other is Duan Cheng. Compared to the others, he was on the sharper side. Killing them off now is better than leaving them alive.

When Duan Cheng heard her say that, it wasn't a surprise for him. The thought of getting killed had always been in the back of his mind. From how easy it looked for Kang Shuchun to kill people, killing all of them wouldn't be a problem.
