Chapter 246: What are the two of you doing?
The Lu family is powerful. But with strength, it brings enemies as well. Many of them are willing to do everything to destroy them.
"Hmm, fine, I'll work together with you." Thinking about it; there are many benefits for Long Shen. In terms of money, Gao Jinhai was miles apart from Yao Shao. And he was as naive as Yao Shao. Long Shen can manipulate him.

Over the next few days, Gao Jinhai and Long Shen were seen together, talking about how to deal with Lu Chen.
The two of them look really close, like true friends. While this happens, students start to question it,
"Are Long Shen and Gao Jinhai friends now?"
"Since when did they become close? How could Long Shen be so friendly with him?!"
"Is Long Shen getting tips on being a playboy now?"
"Never! I think it's Gao Jinhai changing into a better person?"
"Now that's fake."
With how close the two are, rumors are spreading far and wide throughout the school. And with this, Long Shen's reputation went down.
However, Long Shen didn't care about it that much. If he could deal with Lu Chen, his reputation taking a hit is worth it.
He could recover after some time.
But there was a person who wasn't taking this lightly. Yao Shao was making a confused face. ' Why is brother Shen still near that guy!"
Having heard everything that's going on, Yao Shao couldn't stand it. When he asked him, Long Shen just told him,
"Don't worry about it." But how could he not? He felt like his boss was replacing him. And the person was so much worse than him in all aspects.
'No! I have to stop this!' If his boss isn't going to stop this, as his underling, he will be the one to stop it.

"What do you want?" Gao Jinhai said, annoyed. He was just chilling with his lackeys, but out of nowhere, Yao Shao came into his room and dragged him out.
"What are you planning with my boss?" With what happened for the past few days, Yao Shao was suspicious of him.
"Why should I tell you?" Gao Jinhai looks at him with amusement. It was like looking at a clown. He asked, "Shouldn't you ask your boss Long about it? Why come to me?"
"Oh. Did Long Shen not tell you anything then?" Gao Jinhai smirks, seeing the look on Yao Shao's face. It said it all. And he continues, "Maybe it's because he doesn't trust you anymore?"
Yao Shao grits his teeth. What Gao Jinhai said hit a nerve.
"I know you are hiding something from Long Shen! How could you ever be friends with him?! You're using him!" His shouting causes other students to come and look over.
"What are you talking about? Long Shen and I have a friendly relationship with each other."
"Liar!"
"Heh." Gao Jinhai continues to smirk at how angry Yao Shao is and tells him, "How about you be a good little doggy and run back to your master. Oh wait, your master abandoned you for me."
Of course, Gao Jinhai notices the distance between Yao Shao and Long Shen.
It was too blatant for him not to notice it.
"You!"
"What? It's the truth. You do realize the only reason why Long Shen kept you around is that you're nothing more than his wallet."
"When a better wallet comes over, of course, he will throw away the useless and old one."
"BASTARD!" Yao Shao was truly enraged as he was ready to punch him! When the other students saw that, they screamed.
Gao Jinhai was ready too. He wasn't going to let someone punch him freely.
Before the two fists could collide with the other, somebody came in their way, catching the two fists.
"What are the two of you doing?!" The person who came in their way is none other than Long Shen.
Tang Weimin had told him Yao Shao and Gao Jinhai were about to fight in the halls, making him rush there as quickly as possible.
"Boss Long, how could you be friends with him! He's tricking you, trying to use you!" With Long Shen here, Yao Shao pushed the question.
So, his grandfather knew all along and is ok with it because if you can’t beat a commoner than you don’t deserve happiness, his parents are wistfully ignorant, Fei Fei’s parents know and have actually tried to prevent the relationship with Long Shen, Gao, that we spent 60 chapters hearing how his character is horrible, is now best spy ever and will be trusted to enact a portion of Lu Chen’s convoluted revenge plot, his driver and bodyguard KNEW everything from the start and treated it just like the Grandpa. What is the point Lu Chen’s background? No one helps him. I guess you are writing a character that “is doing it his way with no help,” but it’s too much. Even his parents(mother) thought he was useless other than giving her a daughter/granddaughter. To the point she didn’t care about whether it was Fei Fei or not.
He should have immediately emptied his bank accounts and moved them to private bank accounts and left the Lu family. Then told the grandfather “you are right, I need to do this on my own. Otherwise, I will never know my true worth.” Ultimate back fire on the man that stayed quiet for benefits.
If he doesn’t do that, I would like to see him remove all people from his current life. Why? Because if everyone around him plays the “let’s wait and see what gives them best benefit,” and not you, how can you trust them?

@Coheed27 add the 1st day, after he died by Liu Fei Fei stab and shot 12x by Long Shen, they meet in the school but he react like he didn't die🤣🤦♂️ like he forgot everything and it's all normal day🤣
So nowadays jinhai is a spy?
More like an agent of chaos. Lu Chen is directing the situation and Gao Jinhai is being used to put Long Shen into a checkmate. Then this arc can finally end and the plot can finally change.
@ScholarOccultCauldron still looks childish to me though, we know that he know that his lady bodyguard will kill if ordered, but well we're here reading this childish tantrums

1) It's rude to tell the Author how to write their novel, either drop constructive criticism in the comments, leave a review if you want to continue reading (updating as you continue reading or your opinion when you drop it, just format spoilers correctly), and/or continue reading and see where the story leads to.
2) People would be more pissed if Lu Chen married Liu Fei Fei. The whole premise being set up is that there is no love between them anymore and that Lu Chen is trying to set up a situation where Long Shen and Liu Fei Fei take the fall while he creates a successful business empire that can protect his family from the future he lived. There's also signs that in the second half of the plot (after Liu Fei Fei and Long Shen are dealt with) that there are greater factions at play beyond Long Shen. How else could he have maneuvered his way into destroying the Lu Family and taking all of their assets? Perhaps there is a bigger backer that has the Lu family in their sights. Wouldn't be too surprised if Long Shen makes a comeback during the second half of the plot as a mid-boss, showing his allegiance to the other backer as their lackey/disciple. {Pure Speculation, who knows where this story will go}.

@WisHard There was a point when Lu Chen was re-affirming his goals to protect his family, where he doubted whether Long Shen could have brought his Lu family to ruin with his commoner background. I'm more inclined to believe he is working with a faction/has a relation to a faction and is reaching out to the Liu Family in order to get their wealth and connections. With how stupid Liu Fei Fei has been this entire novel, I wouldn't be too shocked if Long Shen created a situation to make her fall in love with him and disdain Lu Chen.
That stupidity is also the reason why people would get pissed if Lu Chen falls for Luo Ai, since she has been a shitty friend to Lu Chen regardless of being Line(chatting app) friends. It could also be used to explain why Luo Ai can fight so well, since special families learn martial arts in the story.
{Once again, speculation and theory crafting using similar stories and hints of plot throughout the story. Any remarks regarding stupidity are being directed towards the characters in the story from the perspective of the omniscient crowd, not towards the Author}

@WisHard What fun is a story when all the MC has to do ask for everyone to be killed? This is more interesting than just having his bodyguard kill someone.
