Kayla silently stared at the empty blanket that laid on the ground. While she told Marilyn not to worry about their two party members’ disappearance. In truth, she probably said that to try and convince herself more than Marilyn.

Was it because of Last night? She couldn’t help but wonder if what they all did together really was a mistake. Kayla tried to remove the memories of that time from her mind, but they would always resurface. No, in all honesty, it wasn’t that she couldn’t forget, it was she didn’t want to. Whether she could admit it or not, last night was the most amazing experience she ever had with someone, the desires, the pleasures she had never felt more fulfilled. Never once, she had such a raw yet sensual moment like what she had with Dante. Even with her denials and stubborn front she showed Marilyn, she actually was happy it happened, embarrassed as well, but happy. However, now she’d begun to question if it was worth it in the end.

Kayla recalled the moment earlier in the morning when she had woken up. While Lacey had already gone at that time, Dante was still there…

“Hey…Kayla about what happened last night,” he didn’t face her while he spoke, “let’s just forget it ever happen alright?” He continued to speak, but to Kayla everything else was irrelevant. As she heard those words, it felt as if a blade fresh from the forge, pierced right through her heart.

She’d experienced numerous injuries and emotionally painful situations as a knight maiden. Yet, she’d always managed to endure it and press on with an undaunted front displayed. This, however, was the one time she couldn’t do that. She was truly grateful he didn’t turn to face her, because she didn’t know what she’d do if he of all people saw the face she was making, as water welled up in her eyes it took a lot to hold it back and even then when he left some managed to flow out.

Even now the pain didn’t fade one bit, but she held back the returning tears as she continued to gaze at his sleeping place.

I can’t accept this! She gripped the ends of her bowl tightly, this pain in her chest, the words he spoke this morning, and her own pathetic behavior of just sitting here sulking. She finished eating and immediately rested her bowl and stood up.

“Can you two handle the cleaning up, I’m going and look for those two.” Although she said that, there was really one specifically she was going after. With that and a smile and nod from Tina and Marilyn, Kayla headed off in the direction she saw Dante left in.

“He couldn’t have gone far,” Kayla said as she neared the end of the ruined village. There were some footsteps here and judging from the size it had to be his, “I’ll get him to tell me straight,” she said, though an uneasiness ran through her as she thought about what if he regretted last night and that’s why he said that. She honestly couldn’t say what she’d do if that outcome happened, but the one thing she wanted to know was how he really felt about their encounter and about her.

She pressed on leaving the village remains behind her and entered the untamed forest. Her feet however soon halted on top of the sparsely grassed path. Before her, stood that broad and muscular figure she grew to know all too well.

“Dante…” his name left her mouth, the butterflies in her stomach danced even more now that he was right in front of her.

“Kayla, I’m glad to see you,” his lips formed into a smile as he spoke, “I need to talk to you about something.” She heard what he said, but she couldn’t even respond as her nerves overtook her. Though even without a response he simply continued smiling at her.

Marilyn and Tina finished eating shortly after Kayla’s departure. She looked around the empty camp. An uneasy feeling began to overtake her. After yesterday’s fight and the vision that came before it. Marilyn couldn’t help but worry over the new vision she had and what it could mean for her and everyone else. Especially the awkwardness that she felt from Kayla when she woke up and the disappearance of both Lacey and Dante. She began to wonder if what she did last night did more harm than good.

Maybe, I made a mess of things again…

“Are you not feeling well Marilyn?” the young Tina innocently asked. Marilyn shook her head as she forced out a smile at the worrying little girl.

“I’m just a little tired still,”

“Then, how about I clean up?”

“Are you sure? I can alwa-” suddenly something flashed across Marilyn’s face, it’s very force and speed carried a noticeable tailwind.

Marilyn quickly turned to see a spear pierced right into the tree behind them. What was more concerning wasn’t the spear, but whose spear it was.

That’s! she turned back to the direction it came from. Standing in the distance was Lacey as her brows frowned and teeth gritted at the sight of Marilyn. However, that wasn’t all a sudden figure appeared in the corner of her eyes, but before she knew it a strong pain entered her stomach, almost making her upchuck her breakfast as she went crashing to the ground. Marilyn coughed as she tried to raise up.

“Kayla…?! Why?” she asked as Kayla stood silent and cracked her knuckles. No, it can’t be… Marilyn couldn’t believe the situation before her as her two allies and friends slowly approached her. Their eyes were full of bloodlust.

“What are you all doing here?” Dante asked as Marilyn, Lacey, and Kayla appeared before him.

“Isn’t it obvious?” Lacey spoke first as she removed her dress, leaving every inch of her skin unhidden.

“We’re here of course,” Kayla said as she removed her clothing too, and grabbed hold of her womanly mounds.

“For you…” Marilyn finally said as she stripped down as well and gave a seductive smile to him. Dante stood speechless before this unusual and unexpected situation, but while at a glance it seemed like every man’s heaven, it wouldn’t be long until it became hell.
