“I’m leaving,” said the Dragonkin master and flew out of the hall. He saw Chyler making her way down the steps and followed her. He stopped beside her falling into step with her gaining her attention.

Chyler turned to look at him then turned back to the steps she was trying not to fall on.

System Notification:

Guild Master Chandler Sven sends a request to be friends.

Accept: Yes/No

She looked at the screen hovering before her and accepted the friend request.

“If you’re looking for information, I don’t have anything for you guild master,” she said as she took off the coat.

Chandler held his hands out rejecting the coat, “Oh no you can keep it, I have another one and I currently don’t need it where I am going,” he said and watched as she put the coat back on.

Chandler, “And no, I don’t want information, there is nothing I can do with prior information since I consider everything in this game a challenge.”

Chyler, “Oh…”

The two were silent and finally stopped in front of the mercenary hall. Chandler stood to the side so that he wouldn’t gain attention and activated his camouflage to blend in with everyone. He watched as Chyler spoke to the NPC and received a scroll from it.

She opened the scroll and read through it walking right past him making him frown. He caught up to her and as much as he tried, he couldn’t read the scrolls.

“Why are you following me?” she asked him.

“I’m bored and I don’t want to go back to the subsidiary guild I run,” he answered her.

She turned to look up at him then smiled and nodded her head.

Chandler scanned her body trying to figure out why she was dressed like this and what her story was. Chyler stopped at the transportation array and turned to look at Chandler, “This is where we part, I need to work now so bye.”

“No wait!!” he called out to her. She stopped herself from turning around and looked at him, “Yes?”

“When you’re done, contact me so we can catch up,” he said.

“Catch up? Why?” she asked him confused.

“You seem interesting enough so I’d like to get to know you better,” he answered her with a wink of his eye and grinned. Bending down, he lowered himself to her ears height and said, “Let’s go for dinner in the city when you get back.”

Rhegal paused and didn’t know what to say. He turned to the teleportation array and got on it. He raised his hand and waved it at Chandler then vanished.

Chandler’s smile turned upside down as he stalked back to his guild after entering the teleportation array after Rhegal.

Three hours went by when suddenly, everyone received a system notification from the mercenary guild.

“Toby, who is that Chandler Sven?” Rhegal asked while getting dressed after a shower. Toby looked at his dorm mate then went back to tapping away at his tablet reading over the program.

“Oh, the Dragonkin master of our guild… Well, he is one of the best in LORD especially in the official players’ league, why?”

Rhegal, “Because he wasn’t to take me to dinner.”

Toby, “What the fuck?”

“Yeah,” Rhegal said as he pulled on the red tracksuit pants and pulled on a black shirt.

Toby sat up and asked, “What else did he say?”

“Well I did tell them the truth but he said he wasn’t interested in LORD’s future developments and that he just saw me as interesting,” he answered as he plopped down onto the bed.

“So when’s the date?” Toby asked as he got up for a glass of water.

Rhegal, “I’m supposed to contact him.”

Toby, “You gonna tell him that you’re a dude?”

Rhegal, “Sure.”

“You sound bored,” Toby said as he opened the door and Rhegal followed him.

“I am, also, I don’t want to go on a date with some random human,” he complained while following Toby to the briefing room.

They entered the room and was met with Brandon, his assistant and a skype call on the screen. “Come in you two,” Brandon said. The two took their seats and stared up at the man on the screen against the wall.

“The two of you, meet Mr Dakota, one of the leading directors of LORD, Jason, these two are the cause of all the trouble your game has been receiving,” Brandon stated but paused when he felt a bang to his head. He turned to look to his side and saw that the folder with information that was given to Rhegal was lying on the floor at his feet instead of sitting on the table.

Sherryl and Toby ignored the two because it seemed to be normal since Rhegal arrived. The two would butt heads on the simplest of things such as Brandon taking a packet of chips Rhegal bought or taking his beloved biscuits and cookies.

Brandon didn’t say anything but Jason Dakota gave Rhegal a long look and Brandon too who before continuing. “As I said before, Toby’s account has everyone in an uproar and asking questions. We have to release a statement on this soon Brandon. How could you authorize your employees to run amok?”

“Director, I know this seems illogical but we have a reason. Director Hammok said before that he’d give us all the opportunity to come up with a new dungeon for the game and Chyler Ryker is our test subject. Through Chyler Ryker we are collecting data to solidify our grounding to make the perfect dungeon. Director Dakota, you know as well as we all do that the only way we still stay afloat is by hiring rouge characters to farm and bring money in.”

“Brandon you and your team have violated rules and you need to terminate Chyler Ryker. No excuse of yours can make things right. You have seventy-two hours to terminate the account,” Director Dakota ended the call.

Brandon sighed in the room of silence. Rhegal looked around the silent room and pursed his lips. He turned to Toby who was tapping away at his tablet. Nudging him under the table with his foot he gained Toby’s attention who looked up at him with a frown.

Smiling at Toby, Rhegal winked making his frown turn to a smile. Toby cleared his throat, “I fixed the programming so that Chyler will be in stealth mode and anonymous, so basically we can continue without anyone knowing but you’ll have to change your name yet again.”

“I’m not going through those questions for the third time, you can now name her Threat,” he said and threw Chyler’s account at Toby who caught it easily.
