What is this...what have I received? Is this a new technology, a newly evolved form? A pet from the future??! It is certainly not the egg that I know of, though it does look like one. No abnormality except it moves and act like an actual living thing which shouldn't be happening?? Though it does carry a creature, it's outside non-living shell meant for protecting the creature inside isn't suppose to have any body heat and vocal chords! Is it an odd situation where a chick will be stuck in its shell? Is that it? Is that it?!! Certainly it makes the most sense!! But as if the world itself is mocking me, the thundering rain wakes me into reality. A reality I don't understand. A reality where I was zapped by an egg. My finger remembers, my body remembers, my brain trembles and my heart ponders.

Am I...going crazy? I seek answers. Yes answers. Someone...I want an answer... anyone? The girl! I messaged her once more this time a bit more pleadingly. In my nervousness I hear yet another sound.

With a startled I turned my head. Did it came out of its container again? Will something happen again?!

Looking down I see the egg simply tilting left and right, bouncing up and down. Truly a tiny thing with its little movements.

My heart calmed down, I loosened my tension. Perhaps my reaction was excessive. Hands on my neck I laughed at my ridiculous self. The egg as if it was questioning my action, tilted itself like one would tilt a head in question. Still giggling in between my breaths I gave a gentle tap to reassure it. With my sleeve over my finger of course. Wouldn't want to get electrocuted again, though it wasn't life a threatening level of shock it was still uncomfortable after all. Kind of like a static shock when you brush against metal or hair or heated clothes or a plug.

The little thing accepting my tap snuggled against it. Cute. What is this, why is it so cute? With some thoughts vocalized, the egg snuggled harder. Can it hear? My face slacked into a smile. I chuckled some more. Both of us sat there simply absorbing this moment. We were like that for what seemed eternity until the phone rang. Raising into a stand I reached for my phone.

And then I died.
