My name is Lance Stephenson, I'm only 22 and should be in the prime of my life, everyone else my age is partying or preparing for the future... meanwhile I sit in my apartment all day and either game or read. I got a knock at my door and opened the door cautiously, it was only my best friend Layhla, she was a beautiful woman with long blonde hair and a body that made most men drool.

Layhla: Lance... I tried calling you 5 times... would you like to tell me how many times you answered?

Lance: Zero, but I had a good reason

She burst through the door with her cheeks puffed out in annoyance 

Layhla: DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I WAS YOU DUMMY, I-I thought you had...

I grew sullen as she said this, did she really think I would have killed myself 

Lance: I was just grinding in a game, my phone must have been on silent mode.

Layhla: Dude, you know I love you and I completely understand why you locked yourself away from those assholes who hurt you... but I'm getting worried, it's been a whole year and you barely go outside, you just live in this apartment under the thumb of your dad... what happened to the Lance I knew who never let anyone hold anything over his head

I just glared at her, I understood what she was saying but still I hated her needing to ask

Lance: THEY killed him, now my Dad has all the power over me you're right... but I-I can't leave, not yet 

Layhla suddenly hugged me and started comforting me

Layhla: I understand, I'm sorry that I was so forceful. I just miss seeing you outside is all

She had always been like this, we had been best friends since first grade; before they took me down from my peak

with that being said we watched anime for a while on my couch and talked about how things were. after that she left. I went back online and saw my favorite series had just been updated so I eagerly started reading. however a new pop up ad appeared that I had never seen before 

"Volunteers wanted for the ULTIMATE Manhua Experience"

manhuas were my favorite series because of how fearless the protagonists were. I had seen those games that acted like they emulated cultivation experiences but none of them had that type of experience I was looking for, it seemed like a new game so I figured I would give it a try. I clicked on the ad and was taken to a vibrant page that was apparently for a game called "transcend the 10 million realms"  and saw that the game actually had a "create a character" tab to use instead of giving you the normal default options. once I clicked I was brought to the least restricting character creation I'd ever seen

there was a large table that said "DESIGN YOUR MARTIAL SPIRIT" which seemed weird because you typically designed your character before the martial spirit. I saw 6 general races laid out before me

Human type- this appeared as a human cultivator

Weapon Type- this was one of a variety of weapons 

Demon Type- This was a demonic brute looking stereotype that is commonly seen

Divine Beast Type- this was any type of beast commonly found in legends

Celestial Type- these appeared to be humans with angelic wings and veins that radiated colors

Random- Randomly selects a race

since this was my first time playing and I had no clue what any race did  I just decided to click random and create another type of character if needed. however after the names highlighted started flashing randomly... a new type appeared and was chosen 

Void King

after the void king was chosen I was allowed to look at it's description... and holy hell was this a game breaking secret if i ever saw one

Void King- The master and sole being who exists in the void beyond the 10,000,000 realms. the void king was only heard of in legends and was said to be stronger than any known being. when the progenitors of every other race broke through the realms and met the void king they figured they could easily defeat him and break free of the void... they were instantly defeated and made to swear allegiance. there is only one void king

PERKS: boundless cultivation- as being above the laws of cultivation the void king's wielder will never encounter bottlenecks and will passively get stronger; God Slayer- the Void king may call upon any martial spirit to help their wielder; Alchemy Furnace- The void is boundless and mysterious and any alchemy or creation can be performed through it with 100% success rate; Above the Void- being above the void means the laws of the lower realms do not apply to the void, the void king may control  Time and Space.

I instantly grew excited because with a martial spirit like this I would be able to DOMINATE the leader boards of this game. I typed in my Martial Spirit's name "Hei Jian"

after typing his name I clicked accept and was excited to create my character when all the lights suddenly turned off

Lance: What the? was there a power out-

before I could finish speaking I noticed not only was my room dark... it wasn't there, I was simply in pure blackness wondering what had been happening before I made a joke

Lance: Let there be light

suddenly I could see, light enveloped the whole blackness and it became pure white. I looked around and saw a door, without thinking twice I entered the door and saw something shocking, a grand throne room with streams literally floating midair, fish swam through these streams into a massive pond that I could see right outside the throne room. 

My head instantly started throbbing as I started having memories that weren't mine... I had the memories of the void king and realized two beings were missing from the throne room 

Lance: Ruo Hong? Yun Lan? 

As soon as I said this two dragons roared, when I looked to the direction it came from I saw a large glass sphere with what looked like many tiny galaxies. from atop the sphere two beasts came flying towards me, one was a red dragon while the other was a blue wolf and tiger mixture.

they seemed small up close... really small, neither of them even came up to my knees

Both: Yes my Lord/Master

I looked at them in amazement. it was all real. I was the void king
