Hello~

It’s your favourite unnamed magical scarecrow stuck in another world here~

I’ve currently found myself in quite a predicament.

“Put htij onto hto tivt joyakihch carriage!” (Olivia)
A burly man standing next to Olivia picks me up.

His hands are all clammy and rough…

I kinda want to see his status, but I really don’t feel like focusing on him.
He looks sweaty.
Yeah, nevermind.

He puts me under his arm and carries me away.

The old lady named Olivia has seen all my private information courtesy of a lovely lady named Elena.

Elena, Who- might I add- has very gentle hands.

As opposed to the man carrying me right now.

I feel defiled.

Put me down.

My field of view is shaking like crazy.
I can make out that I’m being carried towards a train of carriages parked outside Alcazar’s tower.

(Uwaaah…)
The carriages are jam-packed with things to look at but I can’t focus on anything because of how shaky everything is right now.

Put me down, please.

Or better yet, let Elena take care of moving me, please.

(…)

We arrive at a sturdy looking carriage.

(Oh-)
Speaking of Elena, she’s excitedly looking inside the sturdy carriage.

How adorable. She looks like a kid that’s just woken up on Christmas day and just spotted a tree surrounded by presents downstairs.

The brute carrying me taps on Elena’s shoulder.
Uwaaah, don’t get your sweat all over her dude.

Elena looks at me.

Elena and I look equally excited to see each other. I don’t have a face though, so she probably can’t see.

Wait, do I have a face?

I’m finally handed over to Elena. Putting an end to my short nightmare.
This was the second time I’ve been manhandled since coming to another world.

Elena looks me over and takes a cute handkerchief out of her pocket and begins gently wiping me off.

Is this heaven?

First Julia and now this? How many fallen angels will I meet in this second lifetime? I’m getting fired up~

Elena gently sets me down in the carriage and pats me on the head.

(!)

I think my mana point just skipped a beat.
I probably don’t have a heart anymore, so I’m assuming that’s what I just felt.

Elena gives the carriage another quick look, nods, and closes the door.

(Ah.)

It’s almost pitch black inside the carriage now.

Elena please come back and turn on the light…

◇◆◇

The carriage has been moving for a good long while now.
My sense of time was already unreliable, but now it’s completely useless.

(…some of those moon flowers growing in the garden would’ve been useful right about now.)

I was so focused on scanning Elena up and down when I was being gently placed inside the carriage that I completely neglected to focus on the other items that are inside this carriage with me right now.

My sight has somewhat gotten accustomed to the darkness. Though I don’t really understand how. After all, I’m a scarecrow right now. Do I even have eyes? How am I able to see?

All I have is a carrot…

This is what I’ve been occupying myself with in this sensory deprivation tank.

Basically, I’m once again panicking about all my missing appendages.

(Why does my observation not work in the dark?)
Whilst I’m busy nitpicking my most valuable ability, I hear a familiar sound.

It’s the muffled cawing of a dark day bird right next to me.

(Uwah- what is this doing here.)

◇◆◇

(…)

The bird inside this carriage has been cawing non-stop for a while now.

I’d really rather save up my mana point right now, but this is getting really annoying. I can’t focus with all this noise.

(BE QUIET!!)

*Don~*

MENTAL activated.
1 MP converted.

The cage rattles for a second and the bird finally calms down.

I can hear what sounds like muffled shouting outside.
The carriage is slowing down for some reason.

(…)

Oops, now that I think about it, it felt like I just hit 2 targets with mental ability.

The door of the carriage is opened.

The light briefly blinds me, though it might just be Elena standing in the door opening. She’s the new light of my life.

(The bird did it.)
I reflexively make up an excuse that nobody can hear.

With a concerned look on her face, she looks around the carriage, carefully inspecting all the items one by one. I can see a faint glow in her eyes again, so she’s probably hacking into our personal information again.

Ah- I shouldn’t get distracted gazing at Elena again, I can do that too!

I quickly focus on the items in the carriage around me.

Bird cage
A regular bird cage covered with a tarp.

The noisy child that’s finally quieted down now seems to be covered up with a tarp. Are dark day birds a rare delicacy? I’m a bit confused why this is in here with me in this important-looking carriage.

I quickly focus on the next item.

Tea kettle
A kettle used to make tea.
A high-quality crystal has been embedded into the handle for some reason.

(…)

Why is there an ordinary tea kettle in here?

I was under the impression this was some sort of carriage exclusive for important loot, but it looks like I’ve just been grouped together with a bunch of miscellaneous vendor trash.

Elena closes the door.

(…)

Uwaaah… I feel like such an idiot.
I got all excited for nothing.

My potion and another item are in here, but I honestly completely lost interest in inspecting my surroundings here after seeing the tea kettle.

◇◆◇

The carriage finally comes to a halt.

My kidnappers seem to have arrived at their destination.

Elena opens the door again and begins with unloading the tea kettle carefully.
She must really enjoy tea.

I can hear the hustle and bustle of a busy city outside. A somewhat nostalgic sound and a welcome change, but some strange fantasy sounds can be heard mixed in with the chatter of people.

She eventually finishes with the other 2 items and comes to pick me up.

(This is what I’ve been waiting for~)

Elena picks me up with her signature delicate touch and pillowy grip.

(Heaven~)

I’m taken into a fancy looking building and carried towards what seems to be the back of a store.

I really tried, but once again, I failed to focus on anything.

Even though the shop was filled with interesting looking fantasy items…

I’m surprised how bad I’ve gotten at tracking things whilst moving.

It feels like I might be here for a while though, so maybe I’ll get another chance to look at all the stuff in here some other time!

As I try to cheer myself up, I’m gently set down by Elena.

(An angel~)

Fallen angel Elena swiftly leaves and carefully closes the door behind her.

*Thunk*

I hear a sturdy lock falling in place and what I’ve now come to recognise as the sound of mana being displaced.

Looks like I’ve finally arrived in my new home.
