All the delvers suddenly ran away in the same direction.
As per usual, the fog does nothing to me though.
I'm a scarecrow without lungs after all.
Did guild leader Ben just mention Lucas though?
It sounded like he's nearby in the direction they ran off to.
I wonder if Julia's body is with Lucas?

The demon growls as it stares me down.

My body is jam-packed with mana crystals that I've collected and turned into a permanent source of mana.
I glance at the important bits of my status.

The demon made a feeble sound and began to retreat backwards.

I used wood magic to bind all 4 of its legs with several layers of intertwining wooden roots.
This won't be enough to hold him for long, but it should give me enough time to reach his behind!
Whilst he's stunned I quickly dashed towards the demon.
1 hair is all I need!!
I arrive right in front of the face of the demon.
And just as I'm about to dash past its face towards its rear end-

Just as I was about to desperately reach for the sugar tooth's ass, a completely unexpected phenomenon took place.
It was as if someone had just cheated in a video game to spawn hundreds of items in the same location.
The hundreds upon hundreds of full potions that I had apparently earned suddenly all appeared before me.
But unfortunately for the sugar tooth...
He's at the exact location where the items would ordinarily appear.
An even more terrified and confused expression dawned on the demon's face when suddenly its body began to explosively expand.
*SPLASH!*
An intense explosion of expensive-looking potion bottles irrupted from the demon's body!
The potions were launched everywhere like an omnidirectional shotgun blast.
One of the bottles hit me straight in the belly and sent me flying into a nearby dead tree trunk.

I pick up the potion that hit me and look at it.

(They're still there, so it's not like they went back into the cavern and did something to the final depth... then how...?)
I focus on my status, desperately looking for answers.

Along the way, I found all the delvers that had been running from the battle knocked out but still breathing.
The two guild leaders included.
It looked like the forest was covered in crime scenes, there's a full potion covered in blood near each body.
Eventually, I found him.

I arrived at an empty patch between the forest of dead trees.
"It's you..." (Lucas)
He's sitting near a skeleton.
I want to ask where Julia is so we can quickly revive her, but...
Lucas looks at the skeleton.
"...Whilst I was escaping... the demon's deadly gas hit her body... and..." (Lucas)
Lucas bit his lip.
Seriously...?
So this was all for nothing?
Tsk- even though my status still showed a countdown for her revival just a moment ago...
I focus on Julia's skeleton.

Lucas seemed to gather his thoughts and gripped the bottle.
He opens it and empties the contents onto Julia's bones.
Julia's body began glowing intensely.
The light slowly faded after a while.
Her body suddenly shook and her arms began to bend.
Julia lifts her body up and looks around.
"Ugh..." (Julia)
It- it worked...
We- well- sort of...
"Moh... mother!" (Lucas)
Julia looks at Lucas.
"!" (Julia)
Julia's body rattled.
*Bone-rattling noises*
"Lu- Lucas?!" (Julia)
I manage to understand what she said, despite her just making bone-rattling sounds.
"MOTHER!!" (Lucas)
Lucas hugged Julia's reanimated skeleton.
The full potion didn't restore her body though...
