Chapter 406

The conference ended and the leaders started dispersing. Some of them wanted to talk to others to strengthen the alliance. More importantly, they wanted to have a connection to the Saintess. 

It was known that Andromeda became the leader of the province of Cavite and her ability was formidable. It is not bad to have a relationship with her. Even the higher-ups from the Hunter Association wanted to talk to her. 

After the invasion, the Hunter Association lost its power over the planet and most of its members joined the other forces such as the Kingdom of Beastmen and Elves. 

"We have to go."

Andromeda didn't have the time to linger on. She had to show that she was a respectable leader and that having a simple conversation won't work with her. Now that the Chairman and Jose became her aides, it was hard to approach her. 

So the leaders decided to greet her and Miriam. These two were the important people who were protecting this place. 

Andromeda nodded and accepted their greetings but she didn't talk much. After finishing the job, Andromeda walked away and her assistants followed her. 

Despite hiding her nervousness, she wanted to meet Titania. Andromeda and Titania became friends together with Adalyn. Although the little girl didn't attend the conference, she was training together with Seven. They joined the hellish training that Kyle overseer. 

"Saintess."

The guards bowed their heads and opened the door to the clinic.

"Andromeda, you don't have to worry. Based on what I'm seeing, Titania just met her special someone."

Miriam chuckled. She just cast her Skill and she found that the King was taking care of Titania. Beastmen may be known for being warmongers but they still have hearts. Right now, King Shenten was looking for her. 

"Still, I want to know if she's fine."

Andromeda was adamant as she took another step. After a few minutes, they found the Beastmen and Marilyn standing outside of the room. 

Marilyn was surprised when she found the Saintess. However, she was happy too when she found Chairman Renato. 

Marilyn smiled and Chairman Renato chuckled. A lot of stuff happened after the incident in Brazil. Now, these two are in a relationship. Marilyn fell in love with the old man, and of course, Renato likes exciting things so he didn't avert his gaze toward the woman. 

He winked at her and the woman blushed. She scoffed so that her embarrassment would be hidden. 

"Saintess."

The Beastmen bowed their heads but they were actually confused about why she was here. Perhaps the Saintess wanted to talk to the King. But they were wrong, Andromeda wanted to see Titania. 

"Saintess the King is resting in the room so--"

Before they could even stop her, Andromeda already entered the room. The reason why they couldn't stop her was because of Renato and Jose who were looking at the Beastmen with serious intentions. 

If anyone tried to stop the Saintess, these two won't hesitate to shed blood. 

They have to show that they were not a force to be trifled. If the Beastmen act foolishly, they would end their lives. That was their job, to show that they won't be bullied. 

The Beastmen glared at them but they didn't move in the end. They knew their priorities. 

"No one can enter the room beside the Saintess and me. Jose, Renato, make sure that no one will disturb us."

Miriam followed Andromeda and entered the room.

"As you wish."

Chairman Renato and Jose bowed their heads and looked at the Beastmen. They were releasing suffocating auras and the two were opposing them. 

Marilyn who was witnessing this scene almost puked. She couldn't endure this pressure, she felt that the two sides would cause havoc. 

Thankfully, someone mended their trouble. Kalman stepped in and activated his Skill. Two barriers manifest between the two sides to stop them in case they attacked each other. 

"We all know that fighting will only trouble the both of us."

Kalman sighed. He knew that causing problems would be detrimental to them. Beastmen were not good with communication and they mostly settle the problem using violence. If a battle broke out, this conference would lose its meaning.

He eyed the growling Beastmen, then he glanced at Renato and Jose. Nobody wants to back down.

"It's good that I have a way to settle this problem peacefully."

Because Kalman worked for the Beastmen, he understood how to pacify them. 

'They will only respect the strongest. But we don't want them to fight so I'll go with this.. '

He took out a tough table made of adamantine. This table would be the stage for the battle. 

"Just like the usual... We will use arm wrestling to settle this problem and set the hierarchy."

He said and the Beastmen acknowledged with bloodlust. They were going to break these people's puny arms. 

"So who wants to start?"

"I'll go." 

Captain James stepped forward and sat on the chair. He put his right arm on the table and glared at the two. It was the moment to break some bones. 

"You have to gain my respect."

He added. 

Jose shrugged and decided to face him. Since he didn't get much action because the author treated him as a side character, this was his time to show his strength. 

"Okay, I need to gain exposure."

He grinned and rolled up his sleeve. He put his arm on the table. 

"You know the rules!"

And so do I. 

The two grabbed each other hands and started releasing their strength. Their aura was slowly destroying the place. Kalman was seriously looking at the battle while the Beastmen were roaring and cheering for Captain James. 

Chairman Renato laughed on the sideline while Marilyn was next to him.

"Go, James! Beat that bastard!!'

"Yeah!! Show him that we are the strongest!"

"This is stupid."

Inside the room, Miriam couldn't help but sigh. She just closed her eyes and found that the two sides were doing stupid things.
