The corner of Enrel's eye twitched. Melanor let out a chuckle, she said. "I'm messing with you… Since you were able to figure it all out, why haven't you just stolen it then? You know the process and have the inscription in your pocket." Enrel let out a chuckle, she said. "Can you explain how the interval works?" Melanor placed a hand over her mouth as her eyes slowly widened in realization. Enrel continued. "That's the question I can't solve. I can easily follow his train of thought when it comes to how he was able to make the theory itself." Enrel let out a defeated sigh.

Melanor stared at the ceiling, she said. "So in other words… You lost." Enrel pointed a finger at her, Enrel said. "I did not lose! I just need more time to-!" Melanor laughed as she pushed herself off the wall she was leaning on, she walked towards Enrel and placed a hand over her shoulder. Melanor said. "Seeing you like this is…"

Enrel stayed silent as she stared at the floor. Melanor continued. "Hilarious!" As she started laughing. Enrel pushed Melanor's arm on her shoulder, she said. "You should be consoling me in times like this!"

Melanor had a smirk on her face, she said. "From an elf like you? Never. All those times when you made fun of us from the use of your 'superior' intellect and here's my once-in-a-lifetime chance to get back at you." Melanor walked towards the door and reached for the doorknob.

As Melanor opened the door she said. "It's too bad her majesty isn't present to see this. It would have been quite the opportunity." Walking down the hall her eyes turned cold as a white rectangle piece of paper appeared in her hand. Her eyes glowed as a thin layer of mana enveloped her hand and elvish writing made out of mana started to burn itself on the paper.

After a couple of seconds, the paper in her hands burned without leaving a single trace. Melanor stopped mid-step as she turned her head around while her eyes turned back to normal, she said. "How long are you going to mope around? Don't forget we're having lasagna for dinner and you wanted to watch how it's made."

Enrel walked out of the room while closing the door behind her, she had a poker face on her expression as Enrel walked beside Melanor who had a smile that was slowly growing. Melanor said. "The last time you were moping like this was when you lost to both of us ten times making the score ten to zero."

Enrel let out a scoff, she said. "The only reason I lost was that the usage of potions wasn't allowed. If I was, it would have been very different." Both of them started walking, Melanor said. "There you go again, there are no if's in life. You either did it or not, there is no between… Well, there is. But the results are always terrible."

In The Kitchen

Moranor leaned on a wall while Reiki, who was standing next to her, looked around the high-quality kitchen in amazement. Moranor said. "I say what they're talking about is top secret." Reiki stared at the fridge, he said. "Didn't we just finish this conversation? Or are you just trying to avoid talking about making dinner?"

Moranor's eyes widened, she looked at him from the corner of her eyes and said. "Please, I am more worried about what monstrosity you'll make." Reiki let out a chuckle, he said. "I don't even know why you're so worried, it's not like you're the one who's going to eat your… Food?" Moranor turned her head to look at him, she coldly said. "I don't like the way you phrased that."

Reiki turned his head and looked up to her, he said. "Phrased what?" Moranor narrowed her eyes as she was about to grab his forearm, the door suddenly opened as Melanor and Enrel walked in. Moranor quickly withdrew her hand as she looked at her mother. Melanor walked to the kitchen counter and said. "Sorry for the wait. It's been a while since the last time we were able to just chat and catch up with each other."

A small smirk appeared on Reiki's face, he closed his eyes and said. "You lose." He thought. Though chances are they talked about me… Moranor glared at him and reached for his cheek and started pinching. Reiki monotonously said. "Ow." Which further infuriated Moranor and continued to pinch him.

Enrel just looked at him and stayed silent as she stood beside the fridge while Melanor was already placing the ingredients to make tonight's dinner. Moranor was still pinching his cheek and tried to stretch it as far as possible.

Reiki saw that all of the things he needed to make both lasagnas were on the table, he gently poked the hand that Moranor was using to stretch his cheek as she tried to dig her nails deeper in his skin before letting go.

Reiki had a pinch mark on his cheek as he softly rubbed it with his hand, he said. "Ow. Now that everything is ready, first up is the sauce…" He took a couple of steps towards Melanor who was sharpening a few knives using a whetstone. Reiki stopped mid-step and turned his head to look at Moranor, with a small grin on his face he said. "And try to keep up."

The corner of Moranor's eye twitched, she said. "Say that again." The grin on his face grew as Reiki walked beside Melanor who placed a few wooden chopping boards with a knife on each of them. Moranor walked to the chopping board next to him as she grabbed the knife, she said. "Keep up? Fine I can easily do that, but you better not slow down." As she let out a scoff.

~One Cooking Session Later~

Reiki was cleaning a sink full of dirty spoons, knives, and a few plates while Enrel was sitting on a stool by the corner of the kitchen counter. Melanor had a pair of oven mitts on her hands while placing two large trays of lasagnas on the bottom rack and another pair of lasagnas in a smaller tray in the middle. Melanor closed the oven that was already preheated as she took off the oven mitts and placed them on the kitchen counter.

She looked around the kitchen and saw that Reiki was already drying the last spoon and placed it in the wire rack on the side. Melanor's gaze wandered to her daughter who was leaning on a wall with her head glued to the floor. Reiki used the edge of his tunic to dry his hands as he walked beside Melanor, he said. "What's your impression of Moranor's improvement?"

Melanor kept her gaze on her daughter, she said. "You already know the answer." Reiki let out a chuckle, he said. "Thanks to her experience with wielding a dagger, her knife skills are decent and I am surprised she was able to somewhat keep up…" He looked up to Melanor using the corner of his eye, Reiki continued. "But not as surprised as you being able to catch up, looks like I need to practice more."

He thought. Though I'm fairly sure the reason you were only able to keep up was that going any faster my body wouldn't be able to handle it. Reiki looked back to Moranor who was still staring at the floorboards. He walked in front of her as Reiki gently poked Moranor's hand, he said. "Is your pride intact?"

Moranor moved some stray hair away from her eyes using her left hand, she stared at him for a few seconds. She slowly moved her left hand and reached out to touch his cheek, Moranor suddenly moved her hand a few centimeters away from his forehead and quickly flicked it.

[System: User has received 82 Damage.]

Reiki placed a hand on his forehead, he said. "Ouch!... Ouch?..." A look of confusion formed on his face, he thought. Now that I think about it… Every time I was pinched and flicked I felt some pain… Moranor let out a scoff as she crossed her arms and said. "You can put a stop to your acting. I fell for it once, it's not going to happen again." She turned her head to look at the wall. Reiki faked a cough, he said. "Alright, alright… I'm sorry. Is there anything I can do so you could forgive me?"

Moranor let out a cold chuckle. Reiki turned around to see that Melanor and Enrel were having a conversation. He walked towards them as they both stopped talking and looked at him approaching. Melanor was standing on Enrel's left while Enrel sat on a stool, Reiki said. "What's Moranor-san two- no, make it her three favorite dessert items?" Moranor's ears slightly twitched as she started listening intently and looked at them using the corner of her eye.

Enrel placed her left elbow on the table and lazily placed her head on her palm, she said. "Only her? I know you're giving her preferential treatment, but the least you could do is not make it obvious." Moranor's ear slightly twitched again. Reiki scratched the back of his head, he said. "I can also make a dessert for both of you." A smirk appeared on Melanor's face, she said. "Is it possible for you to have a… Taste for older women? If you do I'm afraid you have little to no experience in dealing with us."

Moranor slightly turned her head to look at Reiki's back. Reiki said. "You misunderstood, I was only offering the both of you lovely… Elves a choice of what you would have for dessert." Melanor let out a chuckle, she said. "My apologies… It seems I was wrong about the fact you were inexperienced. With your way of words, it would seem you practice honey-coated words every day." Moranor's eyes narrowed and were slowly filled with suspicion.

Reiki thought. Fuck off! If I don't say anything I lose! If I manage to dodge the question I also lose! Just answer the question! Reiki can easily feel the glare Moranor was burning in the back of his head. Reiki faked a cough and said. "M-Melanor-san please don't say things that could cause misunderstandings. I only said those words from the top of my head."

A smirk formed on Enrel's face, she said. "In other words, you're a natural at saying sweet nothings to girls. I worry about your future sweethearts." Moranor glare behind him turned completely cold as the air around her started faintly crackling. Reiki thought. Bitch! I wished you didn't see the flaw so I could've seen you humiliate yourself in front of your peers! A rigid smile slowly formed on Reiki's face, he said. "A-About the dessert-."

Melanor interrupted him and said. "You said something about misunderstandings? About what? If you weren't trying to change the topic so fast I would have believed you but…" The smirk on her face grew as her eyes turned playful. Melanor continued. "It seems the saying, you can never judge a book by its cover applies to you, Reiki."

For a split second, a large string of lightning appeared above Moranor's head making an audible crackling sound in the room. Reiki thought. Could you two old grandma's just shut up! I was already injured twice in my stay and I would like to avoid another one if possible! Moranor started walking towards him, she placed a hand on his left shoulder. Moranor said. "Reiki, we're having a private conversation for a minute." She dragged him by the collar of his tunic and was headed towards the door.

Enrel had a smirk on her face and let out a giggle while Melanor had a big smile on her face and waved at him goodbye and let out a small laugh. Melanor said. "Good luck." Enrel said. "You can do it, I mean you've already done it twice." Reiki just stared at both of them emotionlessly, he said. "I'll remember this. Melanor-san, Enrel-san."

Moranor reached for the doorknob and opened the door. Melanor let out a chuckle, she said. "Scary." Moranor dragged him out of the room and closed the door, the sound of lightning crackling was made behind the door as a few small streaks of lightning passed through the edges of the door.

[System: User has received 902 lightning Damage.]

The door swung open as Moranor walked in the door and leaned back on the same wall while Reiki slowly walked into the room with a few black streaks coming from the top of his head. He faintly smelled of burnt flesh as a few strands of hair were completely straight, he turned his head to look at both Melanor and Enrel smirks on their faces.

Reiki tried his best to force himself to walk towards them as he placed both his hands on the kitchen countertop, he said. "N-Now… About the question regarding the dessert?..." Melanor let out a short laugh and said. "Strawberries, choco, and whipped cream." Reiki's breathing was a bit erratic as he didn't speak immediately and took a couple of seconds to compose himself, he said. "Thank you very much…"

He turned around and saw that Moranor was looking at the wall while glancing at him from the corner of her eye from time to time. Reiki looked around at the kitchen from the refrigerator to the cabinets. He turned his head to look behind him and said. "Is everything in the fridge-?" Enrel interrupted and said. "Yes, everything you'll need is in the fridge. And I want one containing blueberries, mint, and coconut."

Melanor placed a hand on her chin, she said. "That leaves me… I want pineapple, kiwi, and some mango if you don't mind." Reiki gave both of them an odd look. He said. "All of those items are in the fridge?" Enrel let out a chuckle, she said. "It looks like you haven't had a proper look in the fridge. You can easily fit inside it without a problem and we can just pretend you never existed."

Reiki walked towards the fridge and opened it. Inside the fridge were milk, eggs, heavy cream, and a dozen different cuts of meat on the left side of the bottom drawer, and on the right side were an array of assorted fruits. Reiki turned his head to look at the two elves next to each other, he said. "I thought you said I could easily fit inside?"

Enrel had a smile on her face, she said. "Do you want to experience it?" Which sent a faint chill down his spine, he quickly turned his head and pulled on the bottom right drawer. He thought. A pineapple for Melanor, a packet of strawberries for Moranor, and Enrel's coconut… Why is there a coconut inside the fridge?

He placed all three of the items on the kitchen counter and left the door of the fridge open. Reiki walked back to the fridge and started to rummage through the drawer again, he thought. Are all the ingredients they said really in here? He carefully moved the fruits around while making sure he didn't bruise them, eventually he noticed he could easily push them as if there were more space. He thought. What the…

Reiki pushed a layer of fruit as he noticed it didn't have any sort of resistance. He turned his head to look at Melanor, he said. "Does this have a-?" Melanor had a smile on her face, she said. "Correct, spatial magic. That fridge right there is the most expensive purchase I've made in my entire life." Enrel let out a scoff, she said. "I will never understand why you made it in the first place."

Melanor looked at her from the corner of her eye, with a smirk on her face she said. "Why? Is it because it costs more than the house you live in?" Enrel's eyes widened as Reiki turned his head to look back inside the fridge. He thought. I don't know whether this is an entirely new level of luxury or a poor way to use magic…

After a couple of minutes, Reiki managed to find everything the three elves asked for. He placed everything on the kitchen counter and said. "Strawberry, chocolate, and heavy cream to make some whipped cream for Moranor. Blueberry, mint, and coconut for Enrel, and lastly for the head of the house she wanted pineapple, kiwi, and mango…"

Reiki turned his head around to see that all three elves were sitting on a stool and watching him with interest. He said. "Why is everyone watching me?" Moranor let out a scoff and stayed silent, Enrel just flashed him a smile. Melanor had a smile on her face and said. "Don't mind us." He thought. With the ingredients they chose I can make that. Reiki said. "Melanor-san any chance you have an ice cream maker and some vanilla beans?"

Melanor nodded as she stood up and vanished. Reiki dragged wooden cutting boards closer to him along with a knife, two large metal bowls and started to prep the ingredients. He spun the knife around the skin of the pineapple and removed all of it in a single strip, using the back of the knife he smashed it against the coconut and made sure the juices were caught in the metal bowl.

He started to slice the pineapple into bite-size pieces and separated them into two equal piles. He finely chopped one of the piles of the pineapple and placed it in the metal bowl with the coconut juice. He placed four pieces of kiwi and started to remove the skin using the knife and sliced the kiwi into bite-size pieces.

He said. "Can someone grab me half a liter of water, a whisk, sugar, and something to mix some liquid with?" Moranor stood up and started searching through the cabinets. Enrel just sat on the stool with her pupils glowing while staring at him.

Using the knife he skillfully peeled the kernel and sliced it into strips, Reiki grabbed the mango and ran the knife around the sides and peeled the skin off, and sliced it into cubes while trying to empty the pit as much as possible. He picked up one of each berry and took a whiff of them. Reiki thought. It still smells fresh… Don't tell me it also has some time properties?...

He placed both of them back and started to chop off the sepals and sliced them in half. Reiki reached out for the empty bowl and heavy cream as Moranor walked beside him and placed down what he asked for. He looked up to her and nodded, with a smile on his face, Reiki said. "Thank you." Moranor ignored him as she walked back to sit on the stool next to Enrel. Reiki stared at the tall metal cocktail shaker for a few seconds, he thought. Now I'm curious how frequently they use that.

He let out a chuckle as he saw the spoon Moranor went out of her way to get and used it to place a tablespoon and a half in the shaker along with the coconut juice with finely chopped pineapple along with some water from a pitcher of water. Reiki reached out for some mint leaves as Enrel, who was suddenly beside him, placed down three glasses that were half-filled with round ice. He thought. They need to stop popping up here and there. Reiki grabbed the cocktail shaker and started shaking it for a few seconds followed by a throw that went above his head while it was spinning mid-air.

Moranor was watching with interest while Enrel's eyes narrowed. He caught the shaker as he started shaking it again without doing anything flashy, Reiki thought. That could've been worse. He filled the three glasses with his concoction Enrel reached for the glass that had the mint leaves while Moranor tried her best to act disinterested while walking towards them and reached for a glass. Both of them took a sip as they stopped and stared at the drink. Moranor took another sip while Enrel said. "It's good."

Melanor suddenly appeared next to her while holding an ice cream maker, she said. "What is?" Her gaze wandered to the drink in Enrel's hand as she saw another glass on the counter, she placed the ice cream maker down on the counter and picked it up the glass, and took a sip. She said. "What's it called?" Reiko thought. She didn't even ask if it was mine or not. He rolled his eyes and said. "Don't know, I just made it on the spot."

All three of them froze mid-sip as they stared at the glasses in their hands and turned their heads to look at him. Melanor passed him a packet of vanilla beans, she said. "Here you go. What are you planning on making?" All the elves in the room looked at him. Reiki said. "You'll find out. Dinner comes first before dessert. Moranor-san, let's set up the table." Reiki placed the cutting board with all the sliced fruits in the fridge and walked towards the door while Moranor was too busy enjoying her drink. Moranor said. "What?"
