The Summer Is Coming

Normality had returned to our home, after the horrible experience with the stupid Goddess we had returned home without problems, although with setbacks because we had to return in the middle of the night to try not to let anyone see how a spaceship that was acting as a cab landed in the park near the house to drop us off. As I was tired I went to bed to sleep almost immediately after taking a bath to wash off the sweat. The next day Tamamo woke me up a little earlier than usual to ask me for my homework, and with that, I remembered that I had not done it all. The rest of the morning was spent getting ready for school and writing the assignment as quickly as possible before class. I was so worried that I almost forgot my backpack with my notebooks, I realized it was missing when I tried to put my lunch away, I had to quickly go up to my room and pick it up, the fact that we were late didn't help either, but at the end of the bumpy ride, we made it to classroom before the classes started.

"Hey, Darling, I think we have a problem"

"Hmm"
"What do you mean?"
"What happened this time Tamamo?"

"Eh?"
"But I haven't spoken"

"What do you mean?"
"And the: I think we have a problem?"

"Yes I heard it too, but it was not me."

"Oh no"

"It's me!"
"Here, in the backpack!"

Already with a slight suspicion going around in my mind, I carefully took my backpack and put it between my legs, took the zipper, and opened it a little slowly. Inside I could see a small and gluttonous fairy eating my cookies, when she saw my face she waved her hand as a sign of greeting.

"Tifa!?"
"What are you doing here!"

"That's exactly the question I wanted to ask!"
"I was just having breakfast at the desk when you ran in and threw a book and shoved everything into your backpack, including me!"
"By the time I came to my senses we were already arriving here."
"Since the problem was already done I at least try to finish my breakfast"

"Okay, all right, I'm sorry, it was my mistake."
"But I need you to keep quiet, okay?"
"We don't want anyone to find you, right?"
"You just have to stay until the afternoon and we'll go home"

"The afternoon!"
"And what will I be doing in the meantime!"
"I'm already bored!"

" I don't  know"
"Look through a gaping hole"
"Sleep"
"Playing with calculator buttons"
"Paying attention to the class"
"You're not the only one who gets bored here, you know"

"Is that why your notebooks are so scratched?"

"Look, classes are about to start"
"Just stay there and don't make any noise, please"

"Okay, fine"
"It's not like I've been doing that my whole life"

"Sorry, I'll buy you a big chocolate bar later"

"Please"

The school bell rang and classes began. Xi'an appeared and classes continued as scheduled. The first class was English so I didn't have much problem as expected, although on the other hand Tamamo had a little trouble writing it even though he spoke it perfectly, it seems that his gift to speak any language was limited only to speech and not to writing. After that they checked the homework and, I'm not going to lie, I tried to do it in a very short time but it wasn't enough, especially the part where they asked me to write a thousand words story about the use of the cell phone in the school environment, because I didn't know what to talk about, but at least I wasn't the only one, Haru also got it wrong, it seems that English wasn't her forte.

The next class after that, everyone's favorite: math. Almost two hours trying to do complex problems that sure would have taken me about 3 minutes to do on my calculator, but with Tifa, in my backpack, I couldn't risk her seeing it, so I did it all the old-fashioned way. Which reminded me of the first days of school, when Tamamo bought an abacus to do mathematical calculations and ended up being faster than the teacher with the calculator, or how she was impressed with some mathematical equations invented after it was sealed a thousand years, as the logarithms or the story of how gravity was discovered. Once again Tamamo easily proved that she was really a genius disguised as an idiot, she was even invited to participate with the group of the mathematical olympiads, but she refused immediately, the reasons were simple, we were usually too busy getting into stupid fights as usual.

But all the while there was something bothering me, much more than having a little fairy in my backpack sleeping and snoring like a truck. Sakura was constantly looking at me, I could barely hear Tifa, so that was not it, but then what was it? The fox ears and the tail? Maybe but already at this point, everybody doesn't care, in fact, she would be the strange one for asking, and with the caution that the Japanese are usually with the social relations she would never ask for sure. Of course, there are also exceptions like Haru, who is just a nuisance in my life. In fact, I'm suspecting that maybe it was her who disappeared my legendary weapon from my account, as I had left it linked in the console of our club, I'm even waiting right now for a run from the technical service for that, as I'm sure I had it in my inventory but now no matter how hard I look I can't find it.

After a slow and long morning, it was finally time for lunch. I took my things and went to the rooftop before Sakura looked for me to ask me anything. Haru offered to buy me something to eat in exchange for coming with us, and since I had already lost mine I accepted. The three of us were on the rooftop eating quietly, but not for long before Haru started asking about everything again.

"Now if you can tell me what happened these last two days?"
"Why was your house destroyed?"

"Classified"
"Specially for you"

"But I am your friend!"
"I have a right to know!"
"I am trying to help you!"

"Help? Help with what?"
"Getting arrested?"

"Why would they arrest you?"
"Have you ever done anything bad?"

"....."
"Hey, are you going to eat that chocolate bar?"
"How about if I trade it for this weird shrimp bread?"

"Why?"
"You don't like it?"

"A stowaway came with me today" I said opening my backpack.
"Come on get out of there for a while, stretch your legs"
"Don't worry, it's safe here"

Tifa poked her head out timidly to look around, checking the surroundings and confirming that it was indeed safe.

"OH! it's the little fairy!"
"Hello, again Tifa!"Haru said excitedly.

"Oh....umm"
"...."
"Hello...."
"...."
"please..... don't hurt me"

"It's so cute!"
"Here's this chocolate if you get out of there!"
"Look how big it is! It has peanuts!"
"Do you like peanuts?"

"...."
"...."
"Just for the record, you still owe me one just the same"
"You heard me Elise!"

"Wow, what a difference in treatment"
"That you weren't shaking with fear when you looked at her?"

"This is your fault in the first place!"
"It will be your fault if something happens to me"

"Ahh, she's so pretty when she screams!"
"Wouldn't you like to come to my house for a few days?"

"!!!!!"

Hearing those words, Tifa immediately ran to the inside of my bag to hide quickly.

"Well done, you scared her off!"

"Oh, ... oh"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it."
"It's okay if you don't want to, I know how hard it must be for you to live here"
"Here, I'll leave you the chocolate if you come out and talk to me a little bit as promised"

The fairy again raised her head to look at the form of payment.

"....."
"......"
"It's....okay..."
"...."
"But.... stay there....."
"...."
"And don't make any sudden movements..."
"...."

"Of course, of course"
"Here, here it is"

Tifa, being quite brave, flew out and went to the rich candy to eat it, but always looking at Haru with her guard up.

"You've been eating a lot lately for such a little girl"
"You're going to get fat"

"Said the cow who has a problem going down the stairs and tying her shoes"

"You two sure do get along really well" Tamamo said as she ate her rice balls.

"....."
"Hey, Elise, summer vacation starts next week"
"Do you have anything planned for those days?"

"You're right, the summer break is almost here!"
"...."
"Not really, we don't have anything planned yet"
"...."
"Although I would like to take advantage and use this time to go back home for a while"

"Return home?"

"Yes, to go to Costa Rica again"
"You know, my home country"
"I have many years of not visiting the house I grew up in"
"And with my mother and sister living here, I imagine that no one hasn't cleaned it in quite some time."
"I'd like to go back and clean everything up and make sure everything works perfectly"
"You know, I'm a little homesick"

"The last time we stowed there we passed by so quickly that you just pointed out the general location where it was located"
"It was a pity we were so busy those days" added Tamamo.

"Yes, you're right"
"It sounds logical that you would want to return to your real home"

"It's a shame then"
"My grandfather was planning for me to visit my aunt again and maybe visit a hotel in the mountains"
"So I was thinking that maybe you guys would like to go"

"I am sorry"

The bell rang again soon after, we had to go back to class, unfortunately. Once we collected took we left the azote and returned to our class, where I found Sakura arguing with her sister, Mitsuki saw me and tried to approach me to speak, but it was just as soon as Xi'an also entered and scolded her so that she went to her respective classroom.

The next class, history, was another difficult one for me because I don't know everything that happened in ancient times in Japan. Only this time it was world history and the tables were turned completely. Of that, I do know a lot, especially recent history because I was probably there for some reason or another. But of course, I was the only rare one who knew where the key points of Germany's defense were during the Empire's assault. And they are right, these guys have lived in peace all their lives, it is normal to think that they are fantasy stories when they tell you that something happened on the other side of the world, especially when you could not do anything to avoid it. They don't have to know why the bridge on the river Elbe near Wittenberg was important in the first place. It's really hard to pretend I'm a teenager like them when I see things like this happen.

The next class was physical education. For various reasons, especially a discussion with a stupid girl, son of bic...... I decided to just skip the class, anyway I had medical permission for being an albino, I can just say that I don't feel well and that's it. The teachers can't do anything about it and I don't really care either.

When the classes finished I went to the club room to put extra security on my console just in case of my suspicion. What a fucking scare I got when I saw Sakura enter as if nothing. And the fury that I felt when Haru arrived to warn me that she was the new member of our club. Only to be sure I took Haru to the whip to threaten her, I mean to remind her that if for some reason Sakura found out for any reason where I lived, or where the White Moon cafeteria was, she would be the next person on the list of missing. Haru understood my point very well when I showed her that I always carried a gun for work-related reasons.
