Extra forgotten piece regarding Jake, since someone mentioned it on the last chapter.
I added it here since it was a missed opportunity.

Extra forgotten piece regarding Jake.

//Jakes thoughts.//

"Aughh!? What is going on!" he scratched his head on the carriage as it traveled back to Bristle.

[Broken curse? Finding a Country to save us?
What the heck did I struggle for the whole two weeks there!?
Darn it!] as he continued to agonize in his carriage, he then remembered.

["Look closely, my son!
This is the curse that plagued your parents and our people.
That accursed mines carried accursed gems, that soon took the lives of those that mined them.

I was on the verge of death grimly waiting for my demise.
Then something finally happened.
The curse placed on me had begun to vanish.
The weight we felt soon faded.
As though we were reborn and renewed."]

As he recalled his father naked yet muscular figure.
The word, Weight fading and Reborn lingered in his mind.
As he then recalled it.

The moment Luria had touched his shoulders.
He felt the heavyweight fade as though he was on a cloud while gazing at her figure.
[It can't be possible? could it?]

As the carriage wheels carried him, he will have to wait for a week-long of the journey before reaching the place once again to ask her. He could only exhale deeply and wonder in the time being...

While his family is preparing a holiday festival for the city on the day the curse was lifted leaving him behind on the quest alone.

-Meanwhile-

//There's no healing magic in this world.//

After it was explained to her, Estel could simply give off a worried look to Lana.
As Lana places medicine on her wounds, she then asks.
"Doesn't this place have some kind of healing magic?"
[I mean, I saved my sister from death using it.
Don't they have it in this world too?]

Leanne and Lana looked at her with a dumbfounded expression as they heard it.
Lana then said with a joking expression...
"If that was the case,
Then it would be quite grand if these wounds were to fade away like magic.
Now would it?" She said giving her a wink.

Leanne then added.

"Healing magic for what I recall is held only by the church.
They only accept people who are desperate to be healed from their illnesses including curses."

Estel then retorted.
"Not that kind!, I'm talking about her injuries."

The two girls then looked away from Estel, as the murmur together.
A few seconds later they soon spoke again to her.
"Are there healer's in the demon-kingdom?"

Estel then nods.
"They are called Menders.
Though, in my kingdom, they technically absorb the wound of others and take it upon themselves.
and using their fast-acting, natural regeneration it would be as if the injuries were not even there."

Leanne's eyebrows twitched a bit with Estel's words.
"As... expected of the demon-kingdom.
They sure are quite powerful."

Lana was intrigued.
"They sound like incredibly good people.
To take on injuries of others for the sake of another.
How very honorable."

Estel then had a strange bitter look.
"I once thought of them like that...
One of them worked as my personal doctor.
But he suddenly resigned the moment that person found out.
That I will never gain the wings others held."

Leanne and Lana swiftly wordily tried to change the subject.
"There are said to be elixir and potions out there!
Though, albeit a bit too expensive and not worth its price."

Estel's eye's sparked the moment she heard it.
"How much is one!?"

Her eye furrowed as she mentioned its price.
"Let's just say it's the worth of a castle."

Her eager expression then broke to pieces.
As she was hoping miracle potions are happened to come naturally like her power.
She wanted to use her ability to fully heal using potion with her tears as an attempt to live on her own by selling them.

Though it turns out it will undoubtedly draw too much attention, if it's price were at such heights.

"I see..." With a gloomy expression, she said.

"Why are you suddenly looking so down?
You can't expect them to come cheap you know!
It's not like someone out there can walk around with a magical potion of fully reviving a dying person in a snap of a finger like that!"
Leanne said with a realistic view.

But Estel in her thoughts could only say.
[You're looking at her, right now.
But it's not like I can tell you that.]

Her expression was a pained and exhausted look when she said it.
As things would go out of hand if she were to discover this fact.

//The cursed jewel and the power of cacao.//

A day has passed after the incident with Chelsea.
Estel had recovered from her illness and Lana is currently bandaged with Chelsea resuming her school life. After reporting to her country with Leanne's instructions.

She had returned to the greenhouse as usual as if nothing unusual had happened to the place.
Though to her surprise, the place was neater than she had expected.
Missing potteries were found, but some of the plants were partially damaged showing signs of the fight. She gazed around she could not help but notice the piano in the area with the cloth to cover it left on the floor.

After glancing a bit she felt like playing, but stopping in her tracks she reached for the cloth instead.
As she then covered it with it.
[It would be troublesome if I started playing music.] were her words as she tries to return to her usual routine.

After a few hours.
Leanne and Lana had come to visit her this time around.
They came to check up on her and have a bit of her tea.
But during this moment Estel was worried about something.

She then called out to Lana regarding it...

"Lana do you still have that jewel from Jake?"

She turns curiously to Estel with suspicion.

"You don't intend to throw it away again.
Are you?."

Estel shook her head in her response.

"I just wanted to peek at it."

Leanne interjected.
"ho... are you finally getting interested in his jewelry?"

Estel simply ignored her with an annoyance and disinterest.
As Lana approached her, she then pulls out the pocket watch from her pocket, with a metal chain neatly tied with her belt. As she held it with her hands, she then pressed the button which unlocks the crystal visage of the beautifully carved jewel inside it.

"Do you always carry that?" Estel asked.

Lana replied.

"It's far too precious to be left in our room.
If a thief comes, then this object would be the hard to replace or worst case..."

Leanne then continued.
"Worst case... we will have no choice but to sell you off to Jake.
Because you were the one, he had given such an item.
Even selling your own body won't be enough to pay for such a well-carved piece."

Estel could only frown in worry as she said it.
Indeed if she had lost such an important item and her family starts looking.
The only one they could blame was her.

"It did... however, note if he failed.
You can do whatever you pleased with it." Lana calmly said.

Leanne retorts.

"Only when he fails.
But if he returns and she lost it.
Well... even I can't save this poor lass from her fate.
Or else the relation between our country might go bad because of her." Leanne bluntly said.

Estel herself was feeling a bit worried.
She nearly sold herself to Jake simply by attempting to throw it away.
Had it not for Lana's rescue.
It would have been a tough situation for her to explain to him what had happened.

"Thank you very much,
for taking care of it for me!" She said to Lana in response.

Lana simply waved her hand saying.
"It's fine, it's fine.
I have quite a taste for jewelry myself." she said with a smile.

Though as Estel gazed at it, she simply wanted to check it once again...
As her eyes can perceive what others cannot see.

[As expected, the dark disgusting aura around it disappeared.
Lana didn't seem to be affected like Jake,
So I ignored its presence after attempting to throw it away.
Though why is it suddenly replaced by something that looked like a white aura!] she complained

Leanne who was gazing at it then notice it subtly beginning to glow.
"What isn't it oddly glowing with light for some reason?" Leanne asked.

Lana who was surprised by her remark then gazed at it.

Her armband then tightens a bit signaling Estel to move further away from Leanne to speak with her. Estel then excused herself to both of them, as she made an excuse to prepare a special drink for them as she speaks with Aisha, her familiar.

[Explain now!] she cried out in her thoughts.

"It appears the jewel absorbed a bit of your aura to moment you came closer to it.
Since you are the breaker of the curse, it is only natural that it saw you fit as its master."

[What? isn't it just a piece of valuable used for trade?] Estel was dumbfounded while setting up the tea.

"It is a diamond, its trait completely relates to you whose attribute is related closely to light."

[Eh? I don't understand.] she responds.

"Similar to how cursed weapons chooses their owners.
It is similar to objects that have found an attraction to the power that had released them.
You, the dominant source of power that broke the curse which haunted poor Jake is deeply rooted inside the jewel."

[Hey... wait, what? Are you telling me, that after breaking Jake's curse?
The disgusting dark aura around it, had begun to turn to this white aura because of me?]

"Exactly...
And now it is drawn to your power as it began to glow.
The moment it noticed your presence."

[That seriously doesn't make me happy at all!
It sounds like I just blessed everyone that was affected by the curse!]
She retorts in her mind as she slows her work to buy time.

"What do you mean...
It requires a powerful attribute to light, akin to a blessing to break a curse which is powerful magic you know?"

[What!? all I did was touch him!]

"The element of light which resides in the white dragons scales is capable of doing such a thing.
Humans once called our kind as the holy dragons because of it.
I did recall telling you.
We are the strongest when dealing against magic thanks to this?"

[Ah... this is giving me a headache.
I'll bother with this... later]

she approached Leanne and Lana in their table.
As her armlet then quiet down, wary of Leanne as she approached.

She then provided them with the drinks she had prepared.
As the two of them tasted it.
Once more they are astounded.

But Leanne did not speak, nor did Lana.
Both simply sip it and analyzed it.
Yet as they continued to drink it, they finally had enough placing it down at the same time.
Both gaze at her with an annoyed expression as Leanne was the first to speak.

"You...
What in the heavens name this!
This milky texture and taste, I have never experienced before."

[Of course not, those are made with the cacao, I've prepared for a week of the process.
The work I had to endure during its making and the bitter taste I keep experiencing had finally reached its fruit. The frustration I've endured in this mind-numbing heat has finally paid itself off!] she triumphantly said in her thought.

But Estel simply went quiet as she said.
"Sorry, this recipe is a bit limited and special."

Lana then spoke.
"Limited? Special?
Did you put some kind of magic in this?"

Estel shook her head in response.
"Something like that, but it takes a lot longer to process.
So I rather not make it a daily drink."

[I've only got a pouch of it left, after experimenting a bit.
I even borrowed Jake raised, cacaos without permission.
I just hope he wouldn't mind as the rest are still in the process.] in her worried thoughts.

But Leanne was displeased with her words as she then said.
"Ho... your finally keeping secrets, is that it?"

Estel swiftly retorted.
"It's a family secret!
Unless you marry me,
I'll take it to my grave!"

After Estel said these words, the two were suddenly had a surprised expression.
Lana then questioned Leanne.
"Did Estel just make a joke?"
Leanne, the placed her hand on her head.
"It appears she did, but if she was serious.
I could always have my little brother engage her." She said with a smile.

Estel swiftly rejected her intent.
"The marrying part is a joke!
But the family part is real!" in her retort.

Leanne and Lana then laughed a bit as Leanne then said.
"Lana why not try offering up one of your brothers.
Transfer me the knowledge of her family secret, after that."

"Why... Of course!" Lana then agreed to her request.

Estel simply looked at them with worry.
"You two aren't serious, are you...
Are you!?" she nervously asked.

"Fu~Fu~Fu~" The both of them giggled at her with teasing eyes.

//Magic explanation and what had happened.//

As soon as the two left to continue their class.

Estel then swiftly spoke to Aisha.

"So... explain, this thing called light attribute."

The tiny dragon then exhaled looking away with a bored expression.

"Truly, must I explain the basics of magic to you?
But I suppose it's not much a surprise to you who only knows so little."

"Shut up!" She cried.
"I don't know anything about magic." with an embarrassed look she said in annoyance.

The tiny dragon could only nod.
"First of all, a light attribute is the only element which allows a person to heal another with only the cost of their strength." As Estel nods.

"Magic is also limited, requiring special objects such as a jewel related to their respective element to conjure them."

Estel then frowned.

"You are telling me, that diamond which Lana held,
reacted to me because of my attribute to light." The dragon then nods to her.

"IF possible I would like to teach you magic.
But you will require a jewel or at least similar to it that absorbs your own aura and energy to do so.
So you may conjure your own power at will."

Estel then asked.

"But I've been using magic?
is it not similar?"

It then retorts.

"The power you've used thus far are called racial magic.
Similar to arcane magic yet different in its use.
It also stressful to use and utilizing the power of your own blood and flesh,
as you already know its side-effects upon its use." it calmly said.

Estel was only taught how to use them, but never explained what it was.
It was the first time she was hearing it to her own familiar who is quite knowledgeable about it.

"The only reason you have been able to use them reliably is because...
You have used and trained them in the past for long hours until you finally grew used to it."
It calmly explained.

Estel then asked.

"Then what makes this magic so different?"

It then smiled a bit as it explained.

"Arcane magic.
The use of spells and magical powers allowing one to create impossible feats.
Such as conjuring clones of themselves or disrupting the magic of another by releasing a wave of energy to attack it. Or like how you have saved your sister, the power to turn one's own emotion into a miraculous life-saving grace."

Estel then placed her hand on her head with her brows furrowing as she said.
"STOP!"

"Wait, wait, wait...
You said I required a jewel to use it?
I don't recall carrying a diamond around me during that time!"

The tiny dragon then simply exhaled again looking at her with a bored expression.
"But you did carry it.
Did you forget the pendant you always wore around your neck?
Which your mother had given you?"

Estel then froze, as she thought about it.

"It was white! not colorless like a diamond"

"It was a white topaz." it calmly said then shouted to her with anger and annoyance.

"A jewel attributed to light, which you were fortunate to have!
I had to do most of the work into saving your sister!
because you knew nothing of magic!
At least praise us for once!
For all our effort that pushed us into a long week of rest!
Which you nearly forgot!" As the familiar looks away in frustration.

As it said those words to Estel.
She was both surprised and shocked, then gazed around a bit and shyly said.
"Thanks, and sorry..."

The tiny dragon then turned to her.
"At least now you know a bit more about magic.
But I highly doubt you can find a large jewel similar to the pendant you once had."

Estel then recalled it a bit, it was as large as the palm of her hand.
"What happened to it anyways?"

It then said.
"Naturally it broke,
It appears to have protected you.
After we used it to save your sister.
Though, I don't really know what happened to it..." It bluntly said then added.

"Regardless, I advise finding diamonds as a medium.
Due to the fact, it is the only object capable of never breaking under the attribute of our light."

Estel then looks a bit troubled, as it demanded such an expensive item.
She could only exhale in wonder what she should do next.
[Should I ask Leanne? for help...
Or should I use Jake's heirloom...] were her first two thoughts, but then in frustration.

[Agh, how the heck am I suppose to explain this to them!] was her main concern..
