// Testing the gate. //

"Is it ready?" Rue asked as she managed the communication between them.

The twin demon-kins then said.
"Ready."

As an experiment, they had tossed a goblin they had captured within the forest.
Rue commanded the servants to throw it into the portal.
Though the result was inevitably made a terrible mess as an explosion of the blood red gush of a decapitated goblin was then sent to their side.

One of the twins then said.
"Dang we were so close."

The second then clicked his tongue.
"Tch! we made a few errors in our design.
Give us a few moments to edit the spell a bit."

As the two then scrunched up, their blackened eyes and restless work showed sign of exhaustion.
But they were both excited and ecstatic that it didn't bother them in the slightest.
From morning to night they had worked tirelessly on the gate.
While adjusting the design of the gate by adding a few more magical symbol on the walls.
As they soon then cried out.
"One more time! "

Another goblin was then thrown into the portal.
This time it was a success.
The goblin made it out without harm as he then discovered in its horror the pile of goblins that were made to test the portal.

"GYAAAAAH!" it cried out in terror as it jumped back into the gate.
It was then swiftly captured as its bloodied feet were tainted by its own kind.
A few Servants prepared to serve then entered the portal to clean the mess as the Mistress Rue herself soon had entered.

"Good work as always, you two." The both of them gave the thumbs up to her as they were both familiar towards the mistress whom the demon-king were often with.
She then scanned the area in search of her daughters.
"Now then... where are they?"

One of them then said.
"They are on the other side of this room."

As the two tried to stand, they then slumped back down in exhaustion.
Seid who noticed this swiftly left the bed after being able to rest a bit.

After using 『Transfuse』
He felt his own muscle ached in pain as he took Estel's burdens and stress through it.
But even so, he endured this and gave the mistress a salute as he then said.

"I'll guide you, to them your majesty.
You two rest, you've worked enough."

Once again the two gave him a thumbs up as they finally, lied on the floor finally resting from their arduous task. Meanwhile, she gazed at Seid with curious eyes as she then asked.

"Your voice is familiar, have we met before?"

But Seid replied with.

"I'm sorry, your majesty
 I cannot remember."

Wearing a helmet he rarely showed little interest in the noble families and calmly focused on his work. The queen simply smiled, as she said.

"I'll be in your care then... "

He nods to her in response while leading the way.
Gazes of guards and servants from the palace then saw a woman in a dark blue dress.
They expressed their curiosity and ogled at her looks wishing to question where she came from due to her strange outfit, but were deterred by the shadow knight guiding her.

Fearing his wrath they ignored her presence as the two finally reached their destination.

A large door close to their room was now in front of them,
As Seid reaches for the door to open it for her.

A voice echoed which Rue was familiar with.

"There's no way, I want to be involved in this!
I don't want to be the mother of a dragon!"

The door forcefully opened from the inside smacking Seid's armor knocking him down,
As Estel tried to make her escape her face went smack first in her mothers bosom as they both fell.

Unaware of who she just crashed into.
Trying to raise her head she then said.

"I'm sorr-"

As she saw the face of the person, her face froze with confusion.
Esla and the F.Demon-king then saw the two they could only give her a wry smile.

Rue then said.

"It's early in the morning, here.
And yet it's already so rowdy."

Estel mind went blank, the second person she least expects to meet was her mother.
Only to happen to appear a day after Esla's appearance.

The F.Demon-king then said.
"Look's like someone was eager to get here.
How many goblins did you sacrifice this time?"

As she stood while holding Estel's hand with her.
She then said.
"16.
Although, to be greeted by my daughter like this...
Care to explain what does being a mother of a dragon mean't?"

// Strange Circumstance. //

Before Rue arrived at the scene, Estel who had woken up was bonding with Esla as they combed each other hair and dressed with similar matching clothes the two talked about what happened within the castle regarding the disappearance of the undead as she explained it to her.

Regarding the lich and their sudden arrival in search for her.
However, a knock on the door then disrupted their time as the F.Demon-King appeared.
Only to explain to her about the egg.
Reveal its pure white color and surrounded in crystal she then asked a series of question.

"Hatch it?
How do I hatch it?"

He responded by.
"Spill a bit of your blood on it and apply your power into it."

She then asked.
"What happens after I hatched it?"

He then calmly answered while sat in a wooden chair.
"You become it's mother, and as the one who gave it life.
It will naturally become attached to you."

But Estel mind was being overwhelmed with the sudden development.
The thought then ushered inside her mind.

[White dragon egg = White Dragon = Will become a target.
Living a normal life would no longer be possible.]

Estel's thoughts froze, as her mind was then slowly being drawn into a panic.
In a few seconds, it was quiet.
Then she swiftly ran to escape toward the door, the moment she found an opportunity.

As she cried out her words.

"There's no way,
I want to be involved in this!
I don't want to be the mother of a dragon!"

As she then crashed into her mother on the way.

Later on Seid was brought into their bed as he was left resting,
Unfortunately for him being smack by the door on accident while suffering from extreme exhaustion knocked him out-cold despite being in an armor. While they began to discuss with Estel stuck unable to flee while both her mother and sister watching her.

// Rue's curiosity. //

"I see...
So, that's what happened." As she then gazed at her daughter with worry.

She then said to her with a stern look.
"Hatch it."

"Eh? But, but, but, "

"No Buts.
This man had been searching for someone like you.
He never found it after searching for centuries.
You owe Grand Father Tyr an apology."

Estel then froze once again.

"Did... you just said grand-father?"

Esla then introduced him to her.

"Sister... This man is known as Tyr, the former demon-king.
Also our fathers, father.

To make it simple he is undoubtedly our grandfather."

She looks to him,
Then looks back at Esla and her mother.
She looks to him again.

Something cracked inside her mind, as she roared with frustration.

[What the heck is going on with my life!] She cried out in her thoughts.
Scratching her head many times,
Esla and everyone who saw her was both puzzled by her sudden action.
As they watched her looked extremely troubled by it.

[First... the bandits.
Then the Queen being cursed.
Then this bloody undead pandemic started coming out of nowhere turned out to be caused by a lich and now you're telling me I need to hatch a dragon egg that everyone will likely kill for and myself becoming its mother?

Not only that, the man who came here turned out to be my grandfather?
Isn't my peaceful life turning into one big mess?
How the heck did it end up like this!?

This wasn't what I expected this day would turn out, AT ALL!]

Her sister then asked.
"Uhh... sis are you alright?"

Estel then gazed at her with a tired look as she said, with a blank and resigned look on her face.

"Fine, then...
I'll help."

Obedient to her family, simple in thoughts she only wanted to get things over with.
She could not reject her own grandfather in need of help when pressured by them.
Pulling out a small knife from his pocket, he placed a small cut on her hand as she smeared a bit of her blood on it.

She then tried to pour her light into it.
But...

"Eh? nothing is coming out."

Everyone in the room gave her an odd gaze,
Esla and Tyr knew that she was capable of magic.
However, Tyr already had a clue as he shouted out to her.

"You!?
Are you going to interfere even now?
Stop hiding like that and show your true form."

Aisha her familiar who is currently an armlet then let out noise with a click of its spiritual tongue.
"Tch!"

It left her arm as it took form in front of them in the shape of a small dragon.

"Sorry, Estel I cannot allow you to hatch her.
It will only put your life at risk."

Estel was feeling uneasy of how her familiar just said, put her life in danger.
She was already told of how dangerous it was to expose her existence as a white dragon.
But if there was a white-dragon following her.
Inevitably her life will be at risk anywhere she would go.

Her mother then asked.
"What do you mean at risk?
What are you?"

"Hmfp, I am her familiar." It let out a gruff as it then said.

"If you knew about the past of the white-dragon it always ends poorly.
Estel existence as a white dragon right now is currently unknown to the world.
And only known in the demon-kingdom.

If I am not mistaken.

Should she hatch this egg,
Not only will Estel's existence as a white dragon reveals itself.
It will also expose her to even more danger as individuals of terrifying power are lurking in the darkness fearing her existence."

Esla was then the next to ask.
"What do you mean by individuals of terrifying power?"

It turned to Esla as it soon turned to Tyr.
"Ask that man." It said.

"You already failed to protect her once...
Despite the contract, she had made with you.
Are you willing to put both at risk just to fulfill your selfish desire?"

The word "Contract" puzzled Estel as she did not know what it meant.

Tyr then said.
"I will keep both of them alive this time.
I no longer have the title of King to distract me from keeping them safe."

Aisha roared to him.
"Brave words, will not save the white dragons!
We were betrayed countless times by such graceful words...
Yet in the end, all of them FAILED!"

As her familiar then cried out.
"None of you are to be trusted!
Estel is the only one who understands her circumstances."

It then turned to Estel.
"I sealed away your ability to release magic with my assistance.
Until you have proven yourself capable of properly defending yourself without assistance from me.
I will not allow you to hatch this egg just yet."

It told Estel as it soon slithered back as an armlet on her arm.

Her grandfather had a bitter look.
As gazes and expected questions were then soon turned to him by both Rue and Esla.

He approached the egg as a small dark portal once swallowed it whole again.
Then bitterly clicked his tongue.

"Tch... and here I thought I can finally fulfill her last wish."

Estel then asked.
"Last wish?"

"Her final wish was to restore her kind.
Once this egg hatches, she will no longer remember who she was.

As her last will, this was a promise made between her and myself.
The egg was supposedly a dark dragon, but her soul had turned it white."

Then Rue then came to ask him.
"Then tell me...
What does it mean by enemies lurking in the darkness?
Is this somehow related to why the white dragon race was annihilated?"

He nods to her as he then explained.

"This will be a disturbing tale.
Are you sure you wish to know more?"

The two nods including Estel herself, curious of what he had to say.

Because all she knew was the fact:
The white dragon was assassinated.
Nothing about what beings slew them were made known.

As he then began to explain he then said to them.

"Beings who relied on magic to extend their lives.
Which are now known as the (Lich.)

Beings who relied on Relic's that brought them immortality.
Which are now known as (Immortals.)

Finally, the third who possess unnatural power without relying on another.
Capable of extending their own life.
*The Chosen Ones.*

Finally the *Demon-king* that rose above them.
Superior in both strength and power.
Capable of surpassing their life through natural means while also challenging their strength."

"Tell me...
what gave them the reason to hunt down the white dragons?"

Esla and Rue were puzzled by his question.
But Estel felt a subtle hint about it but refused to answer hoping it wasn't the reason.

Esla was the first to answer.
"Because they were capable of reviving the dead?"

He shook his head.
Rue was then was the next to speak.
"Because they were weaker?"

He shook his head once more.
Estel who didn't want to answer then reluctantly raised her hand.
As she then said with a pale bitter expression.
"Is it because they break any forms of magic.
No matter how ridiculous it is?"

He was surprised and yet curious.
"What makes you say that?"

She fidgeted as she slowly confessed.
"The queen had a curse,
I was told my scales can break magic by my own familiar.
While I was with my friend visiting her own mother,
She began to weep for her so..." As she said these words Tyr began to chuckle.

"Then the undead started to pour?" She nods with guilt.

Esla had an annoyed expression.
"Seriously, it was your fault!
Then doesn't that mean, That whole mess was our fault?"

She turned to Tyr with a worried expression.
"Not completely.
That lich would have unleashed his undead horde without remorse."

As he then pulled out an Idol from a sack clinging from his waist.

"Isn't that?" Esla could remember it.
But Estel was puzzled.
"What is that?
It looks so ugly."

Tyr simply said.
"It's the lich."

Rue then pouted as she hugged her two daughters as she said.
"Tyr is stealing my daughter's attention,
You better explain everything to my husband as well."

She then turned to Estel.
"But... what that tiny dragon said was true...
She is still far too young to be brought into such troubles.
I worry she still knows little of this world.

It would be best for her to experience everything this world has to offer.
While teaching her how to defend herself properly this time."

The word "Train" gave Estel shivers in her back as she heard it.
Swiftly trying to reject her offer.
"I'm fine, mother...
There's no need to."

But her gently smiling face said otherwise.
And thus Estel was forced to deal with even more problems as her life moved onwards.

Inside her thoughts, she wept as she said.

[If a god somehow exists here,
She then asks.
Why... is this happening to my life?]

Don't worry this story will keep the comedy aspect, while the action will probably come as a surprise.
*Or until my brain decides to derp and want it to be some kind of adventure.*
