6:00 pm...

"FREEDOM!" as Leanne flops to her bed in exhaustion.
Estel had followed her around the whole day as her support while Lana was watching them as their guard.

"I can sort of understanding what you're going through..." with a wry smile she said.

Lean gave a glance at Estel with a curious look.

"Oh... so tell me how was it?"

"How was what?"

"My training of course!
You should have some experience from that as well.
Looking at how properly you often elegantly you move."

"Kuh!" Estel froze and staggered the moment she heard that.
It was undoubtedly her one weakness since Estel herself were trained and endured her the training at such a young age in hopes of chasing after her own sister. Out of habit, she faced the dilemma of being unable to stop herself from revealing her subconscious movements.

"I'm... not sure what you're talking about." she denies it wholeheartedly.

Leanne then turned to Lana and asked her.

"Between Estel and I who is much more elegant in movement?" Lana was calm and simply said.

"I believe Estel movement is much smoother.
Although... for her highness.
I believe it needs a bit more finesse." an honest answer.

Estel retorts to her answer.

"Oi! saying a maid is better than her master is like trying to get hanged!"

But Leanne simply giggled at her answer.

"Estel no matter how much you try to hide it.
You can never hide your true self you know?"

Estel frowned as she heard Leanne's words.
It was something she desired in the past out of jealousy and love for her sister.
But now it was nothing more than a burden that she is unable to stop herself from doing.

She then sighed at Leanne giving her a bitter smile.

"If my true self is to become their queen and be scorned by my own kind.
I would rather become your maid instead." was her retort.

Lean could only sigh.
[Seriously what a missed opportunity.
I'm struggling to learn how to move like a queen and yet this girl already surpassed me.]

But then a knock on the door is heard.
As Estel came to open it to greet the guest.
To her surprise, it was the queen herself.
Her clothes remain ever brilliant and her blond hair was neatly decorated by her personal dresser.
But there was a pale expression on her face as she then gazed at the three people.

Leanne who was slovenly resting on her bed.
Then sat to the sides of her bed and cheerfully called out to her.
“Mother!
Shouldn't you be resting?”

"I still feel fine but...
When I heard you chose a maid as a personal servant.
It simply worried me who it was." she replied as she turned to Estel.

Estel noticed her gaze and elegantly bow then politely gave way while guiding her to a chair.
As she sat, Estel places a cup beside her while pouring tea with its scent of black tea reached her nose.

She gave her a glancing smile as she sipped it then gently smile.
“You must be the personal maid.
The head-maid told me about.” As she said these words.

Lana was expressing a nervous expression on her face.
But Leanne was calm with a grin on her face.
Estel, on the other hand, was focusing on her role as a maid feeling a bit queasy as she replied.

“It is an honor to receive your praise, your royal highness.”
While bowing with respect as she then walked to Leanne’s side where she sat beside her bed.

The Queen's eyes narrowed together as she then asked.
“Your name is Luria correct?”

“Yes, your highness.”

“My daughter has good eyes doesn’t she?”

“Yes…” as she nods to her reply.
The queen then sighed and gave Leanne a sharp gaze.

“As expected of my daughter.
To find our missing guest that even the Knights struggled to find.”

Estel expression went pale as quickly as the queen said those words.

“As expected of my own mother, to have such discerning eyes like mine.”

“Fu~Fu~Fu~” The both of them laughed like mother and daughter.

Estel was looking at the doors and window and could only grimace as worry and anxiety eat her away. In her mind.

[I thought the princess was bad...
The Queen is just like her daughter!]

“But that still doesn’t change the fact you didn’t inform your own mother of this.
I want a full detail’s of her explanation straight from her mouth.” Were her words as she sharply gazed at Estel.

She was forced to explain every detail that happened in [Chapter 6].
________________________________________________________________________________

Estel had a tired expression on her face as she explain the detail's of her situation to the queen.

“An outcast amongst demon-kin..." as she fell deep in thought.
Lana and Leanne simply watched the two while playing a game of rock paper scissors.
A bet where the one who loses will explain.

"Can I ask how on earth did you get so far away from home?”

“Excuse me?” Estel was puzzled at her question.

Lana gave a tired expression as she lost the bet, then said.

“Ah… that’s right, the demon-kingdom is like 5 countries away from here.”
Leanne made a surprised expression on her face.

“I was… sent away by a crazed sorcerer.”

“Sent away? Meaning?”

“As I said… it happened during an attack in my home.”

[There’s no way I can tell them.
That it happened in a grand castle of the demon-king himself!]

“A powerful magic was aimed at a cherished person of mine.
I… simply got in his way.
And now here I am.”

"A powerful magic to send a young girl away 5 countries away?
I'd say that person would have quite a grudge against your family." Lana added.

[Well my father is the king of demons, it's not the first time someone came after his life.
But that person who attacked us was insane enough to challenge my father alone.]

Estel had both a nervous and drained expression on her face.
The queen was silent at her answer but simply observed her every tiny detail of her movement.
The way she firmly holds her hands together, how she stood straight and composed.
Also how she calmly glanced back at her while directly gazing at her eyes when she was speaking to her.

Also, the way she speaks the language of the "Human.".
As "Demon language" and "Human Language" were two different things altogether.
It was a huge hint that Estel was no mere noble girl.

“Elegant, firm precise and well-mannered.
You speak our language quite well for a demon-kin” Was the words she said to her.

“Excuse me?” To Estel confusion, she didn’t understand what it meant.

“I can assume you were training to become queen?
Perhaps a duke of the demon-kingdom.”

Were the queens guess.
Estel could not hide her expression as it grew pale at her words.
Despite hiding silver eyes with her ability.
Unable to keep herself from standing still, slumping down to the floor in confusion and terror.

“But… how?” was her question to the queen.

“I was trained like my daughter to become the queen of this nation.
Those who sought queendom will notice your action in an instant.
It takes years of practice to even reach your level of movement.”
As she explained to her.

Leanne added…
“Even Lana who found you were exposed to this kind of movement.
Hence she was able to find you with great ease using my image as an example.”

[That doesn’t make me happy at all!] as Estel’s complained inside her thoughts while biting her lips.

“To be simply put Estel…
You have the talent to become a queen.
Do you truly not wish to return to your kingdom?”

But as she said these words, Estel gazed away from her.
Then said.
“What is the worth of a kingdom when the very people itself only see you as a failure?”

The queen responded.

“Then that kingdom is foolish to not see the potential you have.
Your talent is as clear as my eyes can see.
I can't find a reason for them to throw you aside.”

As she said these words, Estel felt comfort in her heart as she gazed the queen.
She recalled her own mother who had a gentle smile on her face while praising her.

It was the first time anyone else had praised her aside from her own mother and sister.

“I’ve… worked hard!
You know!?” as she shed tears while her voice trembled.
Leanne and Lana could feel the sorrow in her words.

" For all those years!
I yearned for at least one of them!
To tell me that!
And... yet... "

She paused then slammed both of her hands to the ground as it made a painful sound.
"They continued to scorn me!" she shouted while gripping the rug while shaking her head as droplets of tears fell from her eyes.

"Only my sister...
and mother...
were the only one to say those words to me.
They believed in my hard-work...
Saying sweet words that one day.
Even I can be praised by those who scorned me!"

Leanne looked at her with pity while Lana felt anger as she heard it.

"I've waited... and waited...
Until it's just one big nightmare!
My father simply gazed at me at the distance never uttering a word of praise in my NAME!?

What should I believe in when there is only two people who accepted me!"

She bit her lips in anger as it began to bleed.

"Then finally when I thought my fate would end.
I was glad, that it wasn't my sister that was taken and it was me who was able to watch.
As My Own Father Abandon Me To My Fate!"
From sorrow to anger as they felt her anguish from those simple words.

She covers her eyes and wiped them as she stood back up, then kneeled before the queen with pleading eyes. Still wearing her maid-clothes as her hair properly tied up as a servant.

"The moment you found me in the forest,
The noble girl you saw had already died on that day." She bluntly said.

Her cold words at that moment were...

“I don’t care anymore.
I want to forget about that life.
I just want to lead a peaceful time where none would scorn me for being alive.
Please let me remain here in service of your daughter.” were her honest request.

The queen gave her a frown as she said.

“Raise your head.” Then followed.

“I was willing to help you, return to your home.
Do truly you not wish to see your family again?”

Estel replied with a gentle smile.

“My family had done enough.
They've watched me suffer long enough.
I simply didn’t belong there.” as a bit of tear fell from her eye.

The queen sighed while looking away from her,
she then gazed at Leanne and Lana with concerning eyes.
Before glancing back at Estel to ask her a question.
“How old are you?”

“14.”

Queen pov:
[Extremely Young!? Even my daughter who is a genius is struggling!
What on earth were those fools thinking?
This girl is a prodigy that rarely appears in years and they have cast her aside!]

As she placed her hand on her head as though experiencing a painful headache.
She feeling anger and disgust as she watched the young girl confess her situation.
Taking a deep breath as she exhaled to calm herself and think.

[The culture of the demon-kingdom are undoubtedly different from humans,
I suppose they were simply too blinded by their own pride that they never saw her as a potential choice. Not only that...

She has quite a formidable will! to endure this far...]

She then sighed once again while the Lean and lana gaze at her with concern.
Estel was patiently waiting for her answer while resting her eyes.
[Regardless…
If that is the case...
Another mans trash is said to be another's treasure.]

While gazing at the young girl with scheming eyes,
She displayed a frown while looking at Estel with concern.

The Queen snapped her fingers as the Head-maid entered the room.
She then whispered something in her ears.
The head-maid nodded as she left the room, with a wide smile on her face.

Three gazed at the Queens whispers with curiosity on their eyes.

“Very well… under one condition.”

Lana and Leanne had a subtle hint.
But Estel felt an ominous feeling that it won't be a reasonable request and simply prayed it wasn't something that would cause her trouble.
