Chapter 12: Leanne is Scarier than I thought.

//Punishment.//

"Eeeek!
I didn't steal it!
I swear!"

Leanne gave her a wry smile as she calmly approached her.
Lana who was following her then gave her an object made out of paper.
As Estel gazed at it, it looked like a fan...

A Very Large Fan.

Leanne held it with one hand and raised as high as her hand held it.
As she swings it downward straight at her forehead.

*Thwack*

"Ugyaaah!" she cried out.
As the royal knights watched her they were surprised at the scene in front of them.

*Thwack*

"Oww!"

"Wha-what are you doing!?" Estel was confused at what was happening.
It wasn't too painful despite the sound it made yet it still stings due to its size and how forcefully she strikes her with it.

"Punishing a servant, that is presently guilty." with a wide smile she said.
Yet there was a mixture of both anger and enjoyment on top of it.

*Thwack*

"I'll explain just stop hitting me!" as she said these words,
Leanne took a deep breath while standing still gripping tightly at the fan.

"I am waiting."

She then explained everything that had happened.
[Chapter 11: //Sticky Hands//]

Leaving the only exception that she never admitted:
[She forgot the pouch of gold coin.]

However, as she explained...

"As if I'd believe THAT!?" Leanne cried out as she swings another.

*Twack* As she was then struck to the side of her cheek falling to the sides.
But Lana then intervened.

"Hm? then how on earth do we explain, how Luria got a hold of these sack of coins."

Estel had already presented the sack she stole,
It had the emblem of the royal seal of his kingdom.
Secretly Estel added 3 gold coins to complete its missing pieces of coins she used to purchase the food.

"Then his guard is quite dull if a girl like *her*" While pointing at Estel
"Could steal it in broad-daylight like that."
But Leanne then licked her lips from left to right as she said.

"It's also possible Luria is lying, there are a lot of holes in this story."

"Eeek!" Estel shuddered at her words.
As she crawled back to the corner of the room fearing the large fan she carried.

Lana turned to the knights as she then asked them.
"What were the reports regarding the incident?"

One of the knights gave a salute as he obediently said.

"The victim his majesty simply said, he crashed into a maid inside the cafeteria and he had his belonging stolen. Aside from that, we were also ordered for her capture and safe return of his belongings if at all possible."

[A/N Note:]
The complaint was from a prince of another nation, hence the mission became urgent enough for them to respond with swift haste.

To Leanne's surprise, she then said.

"Look like she wasn't lying after all."
As she hugged Estel face caressing her like a mother.

"I'm so sorry...
I didn't believe you." She said with a gentle smile.

But Estel simply couldn't help but simply show a vacant expression after what had just happened.
She then said while looking downward away in exhaustion.

"It was my fault...
to begin with..."

As she monotonously laughed.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha..."

[Ah... she broke.] Lana and Leanne's thoughts coincide.
While looking at the downtrodden Estel.

"Regardless, can I ask which prince is this person from?"

The knight nods, as he then said the name.
She shuddered...
Then happily laughed like a villainess.

"Yes... yes...
I will handle the rest from here," She calmly said to them.

"But-" before the knight could complain.

"This is direct from your current princess.

The person you're after is a personal servant of mine,
The only one who can punish her is me."
Leanne resolutely said to them.

Lana gave a wry smile as she said that.
Estel, on the other hand, was still chasing butterfly as she was far away from reality at the moment.

She then continued her command.

"Tell the other knights that the problem has been solved and also...
Send news to the prince that I will personally meet him to return his belonging."

While giving a wide malicious smile the knights gave her a salute as they left her room to do her will. The door close with a *Thud* in front of them.

Lana then gave an exhausted expression as she then said.

"I know that smile, anywhere...
But still, to think Estel would meet *That* Prince you hated most."

"She gave me quite an opportunity with this.
I should give her more salary... Fu~Fu~Fu~" She said while was giggling.

Lana could only groan as something troublesome were about to happen.

Time skipped by...
Morning: Afternoon within the academy halls.

//Leanne the Villainess Moment//

[What am I looking at?
What the heck just happened!] A cry in Estel's thoughts,
As things are going out of hand in mere moments as she was dragged by Leanne claiming she will help her return the sack of gold coins she stole with a bright smile on her face.

Right now a prince is being cornered by the Princess of bristle.
With a crowd of students of variety watching the excitement unfold.

"Are you telling me that my cute maidservant managed to steal your gold coins in the middle of broad day-light?
And your guard wasn't able to notice her do it.
After she "accidentally" Bumped into you?" She said like a villain in front of him.

She then dangled the gold sack of gold coins as she tossed it at his guard.

Everyone in the hallway was puzzled but these simple phrase alone didn't make sense.
The fact his guard didn't notice Estel's thievery was a huge weakness and Leanne intended to abuse it.

Even if she did carry the sack of gold coins, it didn't point that she did steal it.
Because the guard that was with him *didn't notice it in broad-daylight*.

Simply gave off a feeling that the young maid was set-up instead.
His own guard was now being used as a tool for the *Prince Public Execution*.

The prince unknown to Estel but known to Leanne could only groan.

"Kuuu~..." his pale expression as sweat fell into his cheek only expresses his frustration in the situation before him.

The guard beside him was trembling.
"Master... I'm sorry, this is all my fault," he said to him with a pale expression.

He then gazed at maid beside Leanne who was hiding behind her back
With a fierce glare as he then cried out.

"That maid!
You two planned this out didn't you!?"

"Fu~Fu~Fu..."
She chuckled then hid her smile by spreading out her large paper fan in front of him only showing her eyes.

As it showed beautiful colors of dried flowers inside it.
The only thing could describe it was simply "Elegant."

Lana who watched the scene unfold before...
She could only groan as spectators slowly grew in numbers at the scene.

"Tch..." he clicked his tongue at her

She then said in response.
"Prince of Roswell, surely there is something you wish to say to us.
After all, my cute maid found your precious gold coins after you "accidentally lost it."
But it appears you called her a thief instead.

Isn't there something you wish to say to this servant of mine?"

As she went behind Estel presenting her to him.

"Eh?"

She twisted the truth right in front of everyone.
But using facts about the incident, she added her own assumption that made more sense.
____________________________________________________________________________

The Roswell royal family is a neighboring kingdom of Bristle.
However, they were absolute competitors as they each fight one another in the market.
Be it artistry, clothing or anything else.

The rivalry between them was deep.
But the reason why Leanne despised him,
Was due to the fact...

"You think I'll let you win like this!" he said to her.

He was incredibly stubborn.
Amongst the people she had met as a child,
He was the only one who didn't concede to her despite the sharp words she had used.
________________________________________________________________________________

She gives him a wide smile in retort.
"Oh... then you don't intend to concede your complaint about my maid?"

His face was flushed red with irritation.
But, then gave a wide grin in response to her question.

"Of course I will concede my complaint...
but only because it was only an accident caused by your maid.
I will overlook it this time."

In the end, he refused to ask for forgiveness as he saw no reason to do so.
He gave her a bow then swiftly left the scene with his servant in tow.
As the crowd then saw the conflict end,
So too did they.
Dispersing and returning to their daily task.

"Tch!" Leanne clicked her tongue as he watches him walk away.

"Looks like he retreated this time..." Lana giving a tired expression on her face.

But Leanne had a displeased look on her face as she bit her thumb.
"I've almost had him!
I wanted to at least make him.
Admit his mistakes or Plea for forgiveness." she said in frustration.

"But still... that was a wise move.
It simply shows that he is beginning to mature after all these years away from you."
Lana said with a bright expression on her face.

But to Leanne's disgust retorted to her.
"Please don't tell me you're not starting to like him?"

Lana grinned with a wide smile on her face.
She then gave in response to her question.

"Did you just assume...
He will snatch me away from you?"

Leanne looked away in denial.
As she looks to Estel who was giving a sigh of relief as the conflict ends.

//Your still not safe yet.//

As Leanne approached Estel in the hallway after the conflict concerning the prince.
She then said.

"I've been hearing strange rumors of a maid sleeping by the courtyard...
It can't be possible for it to be you? could it?"

Sweating and panicking in response to her question she turns her head away.
"Of-of course not!" she shook her head in response.

But Lana pulled out notes from her bag as she read it.

"A purple maid dress, the size of a young girl, and a girl with purple eyes.
Also rumors of being able to use magic.
Everything checks out properly."

Leanne frowned as she tightly walked closer to Estel from behind.
Then softly whispered to her ears as she said.

"If you continue to lie to me like that...
I'd have no choice but to..."

"Pu-Nish YoU~" She playfully said.

Estel felt horror as she understood a certain fact about Leanne.
Which was...
[She is really good at punishing people.]
A total and complete sadist she thought.

She swiftly kneel all four in front of her to confess.

//Advice.//

"Alright!, It was me!...
I didn't have much to do.
So I ended up lazing around!"

Leanne winced at her as she said.
"If that was the case you could have done the same thing you did in the palace?"

"Same thing I did in the palace?"

Lana coughed a bit as she then pointed out to her.

"There is a greenhouse here where they study plants here.
It is also a good place to have tea, as it is often used by nobles who enjoys flowers.
I'm sure you can lend a hand there."

Leanne also pointed out.

"It might be true this school focuses on economic studies but...
There is also knight training, magic studies and other activities here that normally a noble child or servant would aspire to become."

"Eh? but why?" Estel asked with a puzzled by the school.

Leanne then proudly said.

"Danger lurks in every trade.
You won't know who will stab you in the dark when your trade becomes popular after all."

Lana interjected as she places her hand over her head.

"Say's the girl that dodged every physical and magical seminar using her own authority."

"La-lana!?" as she tries to close her mouth, she swiftly blocks her with one hand as she weakly failed.

Lana then continued.
"I swear...
One day you're going to regret skipping these seminars,
I can only fear, one of your enemies will kidnap you.
Just to see you cry." As Leanne began to wrestle with Lana.

"They can try all they might,
but I'm sure my knight here won't let them do such a thing!"

Lana, unfortunately, has the upper hand and
Leanne was sadly losing with her using only a single hand.

"This is why I had no choice but to train harder than anyone here.
Or else I dread for your safety to be in jeopardy!"

"Uguuuuuuh." with both hands reaching out to her, she then went limp with exhaustion.
While Lana didn't break a single sweat.

Estel could only give both of them a wry smile as they didn't seem to care while other students were around glancing at them.

But she then asked.
"Is it really find for a servant like me to wander around. In a place like this?"

Both of them gave her a bored look.
"You already have done that," in their retort.

As Lana pulls out a pocket-watch inside her clothes.
"Your highness its time..."
Leanne nods then bid Estel farewell.

"Well Estel, I hope you don't make any more problems after this..."

________________________________________________________________________________

As Leanne had said.
There truly was a greenhouse within academia.
As she will soon understand the flags she had raised on her first day.
And the new rumor of a certain maid that the princess had brought.

Was now called.
[The Owl's servant.]

Chapter 12: end.

o_o i saw ratings went down.
Meh... my writing isn't the prettiest so I can understand.
Also...
The story isn't fully fleshed out and slowly progressing via comedy.
It will return to serious again when I start adding side-story.
*Like her sister's Pov.*

Extra Note:

Leanne's Pov: Side story was fun to make...
