// Frost Queen's Perspective: Estel. //

Her mother was an attractive woman,
Skillful, Cunning and Mysterious.
No one could understand her way of magic.
Not even her daughter Esla.

But on her second child who is now known as Estel.

The moment I saw that child.
She was but a powerless one.

At a youthful age of five, she was tested for attributes.
The machine showed nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
0 Attribute, Possess mana but nothing to wield with.

Her mother paled as I watched her mourn for her.

Unlike her sister Esla who had shown colors of many varieties of elements.
She had shown none, what a pity I thought.

But despite her terrible luck, I chose to teach her a bit more about her country.
I chose to show her, that even without power.
She can show elegance through the way of being a queen.
As for Esla herself, I was also the one who personally taught her.
Sadly she isn't that interested in learning etiquette and struggled more than her.

The only thing I noticed about Estel herself were.
"*How Strange.*"
After glancing at her movement,
She was abnormally learning too quickly.
Too quick for someone so young.

Because of this, I had hoped that even this child may have potential.
Racial spells exist that requires no attribute.
If she can at least utilize it, then perhaps...

Perhaps she may find some use.
However the council rejected teaching her such techniques,
Even her father was unable to retort.

"She is human!
A powerless one that holds no chance of using magic.
Do you intend to put someone so weak as one of the carriers of our blood?"

She is a princess a chance to become a queen or part of the concubines.
But it will take a large amount of strength to even reach that seat.
Are you fools thinking that teaching her a few racial techniques could change her dire situation?

"Our children must be strong.
We cannot expect the blood of the weak to continue to further hamper our growth."

Strength is what this kingdom value most.
Even the concubines struggled to be a part of this place.
To make a change and voice their wishes for their clan.

"She is but a hopeless child.
There is no point in teaching her any of our ways."

Even so...
Do you simply throw her away?
There is still use to a child who has such potential to learn.
Her own mother is the living proof of this.

As I groaned towards their words.
My husband, on the other hand, was showing such a pitiful look on his face.
But I couldn't blame him, their words carried truth in them.

She was a threat to the growth of the next generation.
But if that was the case, why not just exile her to human lands instead?
Were what I thought, but her mother came to my mind.
She will undoubtedly follow her in order to raise that child.
That woman is already a key part of this place.

Being the voice to communicate with humans with greater ease.
Without them scurrying off in fear of our presence.
She made direct deals and trade outside the borders of this nation.
Making her a valuable Asset, regardless of her origin.

Her second nickname now was "The Black Mistress."

Some of the concubines once asked me this question.

Was I jealous of her?
Loving the same man is a bit of complicated emotion.
But there was a fact I understood about it.
A human's life-span cannot surpass a dragon.
There was no point in jealousy when I will undoubtedly outlast her.

Which is the reason,
Why I wish to treasure her short existence through her children that would undoubtedly live a longer life than her.

...

...

...

As the year's come by she finally reached the age of Nine.

I expected her wings to grow at the age of nine.
Yet... once more she had shown no signs of change.
Is this truly the fate of her child?
Almost as though she was fated to become just a mere cattle for this world.
A powerless one, a human that bore no potential.

Was what everyone thought.

On the day of the incident, all of the concubines and myself were sent away to survey our clan.
Observing any problems through our own people, and gathering information on what is needed and required.

As I was about to return to the castle to share my report,
It was then news of an attack, came to me by one of my servants.

While reading a letter sent by them.
There was only one victim which was Estel herself.
With my Brilliant azure wings, I soared to the sky post-haste to see her mother's state.

As I had imagined, she was heartbroken, unfit to work, unable to do her daily task.
She was simply idling watching the windows as though she was waiting for something.
I came to speak with her as someone who respected her.

The first words I said were.
"What do you see beyond that window?"

In her reply.
"A prayer for the safety of that child."

There was no way to determine if she survived or not.
It was a difficult situation for her.
Esla had fled in search of her, going as far into sneaking out of her own father's wishes.
While I was left wondering if there was something else I could have done.

It was only then I heard from my husband that,
She was not as powerless as everyone thought she was.

After a month...
News of her survival had arrived.
The woman that once idled by the window had disappeared.
Once more I saw the fire in her eyes, as though hope was restored.

I was simply happy for her, her radiant smile and mischievous way's had once again brought color to this place. As my husband who worked tirelessly soon were healed by her presence, as she swiftly requested for a way to open the Gate.

With his permission, things went smoothly and the family she longed to meet were reunited.

Though after confirming her origin, the council suddenly had a change of heart.
While some still continue to reject her.

They continued to urge them to bring her back to our nation,
but if we were to forcefully do such a thing against her will.
It would be recorded as one of the most shameful things which our generation had done.

Aside from the words of my husband.
The word "Loss." felt like it held something deeper in it.

Which is the reason...
Why I decided to come and see her for myself.

//Unexpected meetings.//

While Estel remained in her room the noise of the door *clicked.* as it soon opened.

Turning towards it she greeted her with a cheerful smile.
"Ah... Lea-" as she called for her name.
Her face froze with surprise, when the one in front of the door wasn't her.

But one of the bishops of the Order.
Wearing her gaudy clothes, the emblem on her priestly dress she then simply said.

"You must be Estel,
A pleasure to meet you.
Blessed one."

Inside her mind, she simply said with a blank expression.
[I'm Screwed.]

//Strategy //

[What do I do?]

Run?
-Only exit: window
[We are on the third floor.
WHY DID I NOT LEARN HOW TO FLY!]

As she moved away from the men towards the corner of the room.
She then asked herself once more.

Fight?
-Aisha is asleep, I can't conjure complicated spells.
The current spells I know are flashy lights and a simple clothes stripping vacuum with storage.
[Shit.]

-Use threads?
[There's nothing here I can use here as a puppet.
And I can only bind one person at a time.
There are at least seven people on the front door.
AND NOWHERE ELSE TO RUN!]

As she tried to muster the courage to try and use her threads, it was no good.
The fact all attention is directed at her is making her panic.

As two men holding a rope and cloth were closing in on her.

Struggle?
-What can the arms of a young girl like me? DO!

It was at this moment, that Estel was kidnapped.
[Game Over.]

Seid her knight wasn't around.
It was the perfect time for them to strike.
Her grandfather on the other hand was preparing the room for their next class while feeding his pet unaware of what was happening.

// Crisis. //

"Estel we are ba-" as Leanne called out to her, there was no signs of sight from her

As the two turned from the corners of the place.
The both of them then concluded as they soon walked towards the windows.

"They are not there," Lana said.
Leanne agreed while saying.
"It's kind of obvious now, they got what they were after.
There was no reason for them to stay here."

"What do we do?" Lana asked with worry on her face.

"What else can we do?" she groaned while walking towards the door.

Lana had a terrible feeling as they soon left the building.
She had thought they were going to confess to her grandfather about it and ask for his help.
But instead, they walked towards Levere's building.

Lana's unease grew even deeper as she said.

"Is this wise?
If her grandfather finds out-"

But was cut off by Leanne.

"If her grandfather finds out,
This place will turn into a sea fire, the moment he discovers it!
We have a few short hour's lefts to retrieve her.
The only ones we can rely on is ourselves!?"

As she said those words, they soon requested for his aid.
His first few words were.
"What the heck just happened!?" he cried out in anger.

Picking up his weapon and men, he swiftly readied two carriages for her rescue.
As he spouted with anger.

"The demon-king daughter kidnapped in daylight.
By the Order of Light, no less!
There's going to be a full-blown war,
If a demon rampage in their church,
Then they would undoubtedly be pushing their stupid ideal's on innocent people while pulling them into the meat-grinder!"

Levere said with a pale expression, his sister who was behind them then said.

"Never a dull moment with her around isn't it?"

But Leanne and Lana could only give her a blank stare.
While multiple carriages of his people were on tow, in pursuit of the information he had gathered.
It was clear where they were going.

Current time: Morning.
9:00am.

3 hour's left till her grand-father's class.

Current time: Morning.
9:00am -> 10:30am

1 hour 30minutes left till her grandfather's class.

// Fanatic //

Meanwhile, Estel was in their carriage.
With a piece of cloth blocking her mouth, she blankly stares at the woman in front of her.
While her body was bound by a cloth and completely tied by ropes like a caterpillar.

As she then pulled out the cloth from her mouth.
Estel then said.

"You know this is going to end poorly."

But to her reply.
"Indeed it will...
Blessed daughter of the demon-king."

As Estel heard these words, she could only grimly gaze at the woman.
"You are aware, yet you still did this.
For what purpose?" she asks.

"Silver hair, Silver eyes.
The very attribute which carried light.
We have studied your race for a long time you know?
Ooh, Dragon of Light."

As she heard them call her race name Estel paled then asked.
"What do you intend to do with me?" with a worried expression on her face.

The woman simply smiled.
"To worship you of course."

"Worship me?
You are aware,
That your action is going to bring one hell of a calamity to this world!"

"And so?" the woman tilted her head in front of her, the pale bloodshot look on eyes she had shown a strange movement and action around her.

[Something is odd.] as she gazed at her.
But she then said.

"As long as a being like you is in front of us.
You can do as you please with us!
Oh, Blessed child of the Demon-king.

Let us be the spark which will bring forth salvation to the people of this land!"

It was at this moment Estel shuddered then thought.

[These people are insane.
Leanne was right, these people are fanatics!
SOMEONE GET ME OUT OF HERE!?] as she screamed inside her mind.

A knock on the carriage is heard from the front.
As a small window opened behind her.

"It appears a few pests have decided to intercept us.
What shall we do?"

The woman replied with a simple phrase.

"Whatever is within your power."

The person in the carriage nodded to her in response.

"Eh?" as she turned towards the window beside her to see what happens.

She then saw it with her keen eyes.
A carriage with Leanne and Lana in tow, at a large distance away from them.
As she gazed at it, she then saw Fae behind them and a man she could only recognize as Levere.

[They came...
But why isn't my grandfather with them?] as she was puzzled by that missing puzzle.

She then saw a group of armored knights of the order coming towards them.
They formed a formation as they soon charged towards the group that was coming to save her.
As she gazed at the spectacle the woman in priestly garb then said.

"It's beautiful, isn't it.
How we relish in conflict for you."

[Shut up.] as she continued to observe the battle from the window, while her body was still bound.

// For My Sister Sake! //

A total of 10 knights charges towards the carriage with lance ready.
Their intention is undoubtedly the wheel's of the carriage to hamper their pursuit.
While the carriage pointed weapons of different cylindrical sizes towards them in response.

Levere then shouted. "FIRE!"

The tips of their weapon combusting with a different kind of color portraying the elements.

As it struck the armor and horses of the knights charging at them.
Only five of them fell...

"For the Order!" they cried out while shouting.

Levere could only use his sharp wits as he threw a crystal shard where they were coming from.
With his weapon ready, he aimed carefully and shot at it with pin-point accuracy as it then suddenly expanded.

A giant stone was instantly conjured above them with the speed of a moving carriage as it fell crushing three of the opposing knights as it bounced once and rolled forward, the two scattered.

However, one of them raised their lance as it rushed towards them.
Levere's men noticed this and aimed their weapon to take him down but it was all too late.
He threw his weapon as they fired their weapons.

Breaking one of the wheels on the back of the carriage as the knight was knocked off from his horse from the force of their weapons. The shaking tremors occurred within the carriage as horses dragged it forwards.

"Shit!, This is bad. Plan B!" he shouted while turning to Lana, she swiftly nods in response.

Pulling out her sword she cut the ropes on the horses with precision as she rode one of them.
Levere, on the other hand, pulled out a knife as he rode the second from the carriage cutting them down at the same pace as Lana.

Both charges like moving race horses towards the enemy carriage.

Leanne and Lana could only see Levere in a new light amazed at how capable he was.
He wasn't just an entrepreneur for nothing.
Such a shame they can read his mind like a book.

Because in Levere's mind within his thought were.
[My sister only recently recovered her eyes.
There is now way...
I let these bastards unleash hell into the world!]

As the two deeply exhaled while Fae herself was puzzled by Leanne's expression as the two rode onwards to rescue Estel.

I wonder if someone saw this coming.
I somehow managed to write it sooner =3=.
