// Shifting Emotions. //

With a rough voice, she then said.
"What the heck...
Don't screw with me."

Her pained expression was visible to her grandfather,
She never expected such a development to occur.

"Why?
After how they treated me.
Why are they giving me such a title!?
Is this a joke!" as she denies his words her grandfather felt the air growing heavier.

"Then...
What about my sister...
What about her? who worked hard to gain their attention.
Compared to the other candidates and myself.

Isn't she more worthy of being entitled to being the crown princess!"

Noticing the ominous sensation he then cried out to her.

"Estel, calm down!?"

But she then cried out in anger.

"Calm down?...
How can I calm down...

when they just BETRAYED MY SISTER LIKE THIS!?"

Within the room, a heavy presence had begun to show itself.
On the left side of her back,
black shadows then ripped the cloth on her back.
As it shaped itself into a single bone wing, while she wept.

As Tyr watches in horror, he then thought...

[She was angry...
Not only because she received the title of the crown princess.
But also...

Just-like-Her.
They failed to recognize her sister's efforts.]

Sensing both danger and terror.
He swiftly reached his left hand to her head as she was put to rest.
Fearing, dreading...
That she loses herself completely once again.

He then catches her with his single left hand and carried her back to the bed.
His heart beating faster as he grips his chest it in pain.
Then leaning his back on one side of the bed.

"Haah... Haah..."

Directing his eyes toward the familiar, he then said to it.

"You did this on purpose!"

It gazed at him as it wagged its own tail on top of the table, in its own amusement.

"Yes...
So you will understand that this child needs to learn self-control."

As it then explained.

"The spirits of her kin now reside within her.
Which are influenced greatly by her own emotions.
She needs to learn the truth, while such a capable person is still present.

Otherwise, she loses herself again.
And take your life this time."

Tyr had a displeased expression as he heard its words.
But he forgave it, as its words spoke true.

He then asked.
"What caused her to lose her mind.
On the day I fought her?"

The black dragon then stopped wagging its tail, as it then stood from the table.
It then told him of the sad tale of the white dragons that fell in the hands of the Order.

// Estel's Sea of Concern. //

As Estel woke from her slumber, her grandfather was by the window as he took a short nap.
The anger inside her was no longer there.
What replaced it was, disappointment and apathy.

[Should I run away now?

But what will that solve?

It would only make me hate myself.

My mother and sister would be worried about me.
Just like before my father will send his men to search for me.
The cycle will just repeat.

Though, with my black hair...
I can now easily hide and forget about this place.
But...
Wouldn't that be cruel of me?

I became a thief because of my family lack of wealth.
But now, I come from a family full of power and riches that can destroy and move countries.
To become its next queen is like a fairy-tale that suddenly got thrown at me after constantly being harassed by my own people.

Who do they think they are!?

Do they think?
I'll just forget about everything they have done to me, by giving me the crown!?

Not only that...
My grandfather sacrificed his own arm for me.
There is also a concern regarding my own Grandmother's Egg.
I can't trouble him any further.

After watching that crystal, I became a bit terrified of myself.
I felt the same anger surge inside me, when my grandfather reached his hand to me.
As I began to lose consciousness...

What should I do?
I... miss... Leanne.
She usually has the answer when I get cornered like this.

and... Lana.] As she vividly recalls what happened to her, she wept.

But as tears fell from her cheeks,
She then recalled the things that Leanne had done.
Haughty, Free-willed, and Pushy.
Always picking fights and showing her confidence as a princess.
Despite all that, she often regards Estel highly and showed a confident look.

Even to the extent that she got Lana hurt,
Or cry and weep in terror as undead came after her.
A perfect image of a princess.

[What would Leanne do?
If she were in my shoes.]

As she thought of those words an idea came to her mind as she grinned.
It was then she woke her grandfather with a wide smile on her face.

Before Estel's announcement as a Crown Princess.

// Chaos of the Council Meeting. //

In the wide room, where numerous leaders of the races gathered.
The Queen presented herself to them elegantly as she sat in her seat beside her husband.
The Demon-king gave her a worried look as she replied with a darting gaze.

As everyone had taken their seat.

The Demon-king raised his hand and gave them the signal to begin.

However, the first one to speak was the person beside him.
He gave her a concerned look, but she simply ignored him.

Seid who had returned had already informed him of his failure, after explaining himself.
Of course, he had forgiven him.
Given Estel's situation, he did not expect such an unexpected problem to happen.

He had pleaded to his wife to keep it hidden for Estel's sake.
But rejected his request as it would only cause a loss of trust in the council.
If it was continued to be kept a secret from their own people and other's were to discover her sudden change it would undoubtedly harm their reputation to lead.

At that moment she then said.

"I would like to discuss the matter's regarding Estel."

One sneered with rabbit ears.
"That child again?
Did we not finish this matter before."

She replied to his answer.
"Indeed, I nominate this child as the next crown princess."

Those who were not in favor of Estel swiftly raised from their chair.
However, those few could only leer at those who stood.
"Demon-king, please silence your own wife!
I believe there are limits to her jokes." A demon that had wings for arms said.

The Demon-King could simply close his eyes in silence, as his own wife stood at his side.

But another was intrigued.
"Tell us, why did you suddenly decide to nominate her."

She then snapped his finger as Seid carrying the memory crystal of the golem.
With a device carried by their servant, it was placed there.
It was then at that moment...

Every demon leaders of the council gaped in confusion and horror as the scenes of that battle was presented to them. The demon-king himself was not told of it, but the queen had silenced Seid from speaking of it, from her own husband performing an elusive check-mate in front of the council.

She then said to them.

"Behold, the person you all scorned.
The child you all rejected and feared.
She had not been taught much of magic yet her power surpassed beyond expectations."

With a powerful tongue, she then added.

"Not only that!
The Former Demon-king and I worked together to returned her here safely.
But even with my help, he lost one of his limbs and currently now resting.

Is this not the strength you all wished and prayed for the next heir to possess?"

Bone wings, Immense power, a shocking strength that mowed the very lands.
Any foe...
Man or Beast would certainly perish in her hands if they dared try to challenge her.

Those who stood to reject her suddenly sat in shock.
While those few who sat in favor of her suddenly rose in surprise.

"This is that child?" they asked her.

"Right now, she is resting.
She had grown to scorn this place.
But if we show her that, she still has a place here.

Then... doesn't this satisfy the condition for the crown princess."

But another retorts and hand gave up.
"But she posses human blood!"

A second one then rose to complain.
"That's right!?"

In agitation, she then replied to them.

"Are both of you blind?
She's-" but before she could complete her words.

One of them stood,
It was the green dragon race, a demon-kin that once rejected her.
"She is a moonlight.
An extremely rare existence among the light dragon race.
We were blessed to see one to born, yet we acted poorly against her."

He then asked.
"How is she?"

To her reply.
"Currently resting...
Though, she might become displeased about this."

After she said those words, the council grew silent.
Some were confused, but other's were intrigued.
The moment someone mentioned the old tradition regarding the Moonlight race.

All of them stood and without rejection.
Estel was then accepted as the next crown princess.

Her father couldn't speak a word, as he wished that her daughter would somehow accept it.

// Levere's Suspicion. //

As Levere and Fae returned back home in the academy in a carriage.
He was showing a worried and troubled expression on his face.

"Brother, are you alright? " Fae asked with concern.
He then placed his hand on her head.

"Am I?
Maybe... I'm just tired."

As he said those words she then leaned beside him.
"I wonder if they are fine..."

All of them left in a wyvern.

Except for Levere and his men.
Fae herself was in the carriage with Leanne.
When she saw Lana severely injured.
She was speechless and unable to show herself.

It was simply the first time she saw someone she knew,
To be in such a dire state that all she could do was hide in terror, as she soon saw the scene of the littered corpses of the soldiers when they reached Estel's location.

She then asked Levere.
"Is Lana going to be alright?"

Levere replied to her with doubt.
"I'm not sure,
But, the magic of the demon-kingdom is said to surpass our own knowledge.
Let's just pray for her safety."

As he said those words, she clutched her hands together with worry.
Levere, on the other hand, had a bitter expression.

[ How Ironic...
To pray for their god, when they were the cause of all this.

The fact that they had a platoon waiting here that shot Lana down.
Only means that this was completely planned by them.]

He then clutched his hand in anger as he bit his lip.
[Curse them!
Are they kidnapping people who have light magic blindly now?

No...
I highly doubt this was just a blind kidnapping.
When they had so many guards in place.

Which only means they clearly knew what they were trying to do.

But still...
Why would they go so far!
When they haven't pillaged the lands in many decades!?

I'm not sure what the hell they were trying to pull.
But if they start triggering a war for the sake of their own cause.
Then I may as well get to the bottom of this and unmask the fools that are trying to put the world in a bloody war.]

Later onwards, Levere had his men spy on the order.
Hoping to know more of their intentions.

Time: Morning -> Afternoon.

// I won't let it end like this... -Part 1- //

As she spoke to her grandfather Estel had an idea.
But to perform such an idea, she made a strange request to him.
"Take me to the council," she said.

He tilted his head, then asked.

"Why? the council should begin in a few minutes from now."

She then took a deep breath then said once again.
"Take-me-there."

Noticing Estel's agitation, he reluctantly agrees.

It was then at this moment.
Estel as the crown princess will make her first declaration.

=3= I wanted to finish this, NOW!.
But, I need to properly get this part right.
Or it will sound awful when read.

So I just left this cliff hanger.
