I just finished reading one of my favorites webnovels, called “The Novel’s Extra”, really, it was like the fourth time that I read it, and I like it pretty much, like every other webnovel, it has its ups and downs, though I’m not one to read things because they’re good or bad, I read if they catch my interest, and stop if I feel like it…
Up to this day, few things grabbed my interest, at least enough to keep to them for more than a few weeks… I’ve done everything, from sports to arts, and I could count with my hands how many of them I still barely like, not to mention things I love, which would be counted with one hand at most.
Don’t know how to explain that feeling, and not many people believes me, or even if they do, they don’t truly understand how empty it feels, like something was missing inside me, like a void that I couldn’t fill no matter how hard I tried.
Given the boring life I had, without motivation nor interests, the best thing to do I found was to kill myself, sadly though, it was pointless, the human body is more durable than what some shows make it to be… And that got me going back home, without motivation to even try suicide again, not unless you give me a gun, which would do the job easier.
So that’s how I got here, reading for the fourth time one of the only few things that I barely enjoy. Though, right now, I still didn’t know what destiny had prepared for me… Nor like I would care, really.
Novel's Extra was a great experience in regards to character creation, as everyone's abilities seamlessly shaped how they thought and acted. It was a pity that the author went a bit overboard with the drama, but it was – nonetheless – a consistent book throughout.
Although I'm forced by circumstances to say that making a fanfic of that novel is putting a great responsibility on your shoulders (as the sweetest cookie in it was exactly the characters' personalities and development), as long as you don't deviate from the feeling in this prologue, I believe this will be another thrilling journey.
Yeah, character creation and development (at least for the few major characters) was one of the things that brought me to like this novel, and why I have re-read it more than once.
And let me apoligize in advance if I can't bring out the full potential of a fanfic because characters personalities and writing abilities. I'm actually re-reading while writing this so I try to catch every little aspect of their personalities I can, so that I can at least make a decent story based on it. Though, let me be clear, I would have to decide wether I will choose the action path, or the drama path, though I will try to balance both (lying, will be more on the drama side, not by choice man, you said it yourself, original author focused so much on drama that he even forgot to loose some knots on the story)
Yeah im a bit salty about the fact that he didn't end up with Chae but the Boss because of some 'i love you but i hate you at the same time' >:c
I liked the interactions between the MC and Chae much more than the Boss, not that the fluffy(?) interactions weren't nice. its just that Chae was more interesting and fun (and hilarious)
@PantsuKami Well, let's be honest, it is less of a fault with Boss and Hajin and more to do with the author. 3 years of time skip was too long, without even showing interactions between them during those years xD
@PantsuKami well that just comes down to personal opinions. I actually found what the autor did with mc and Chae super good when you take into account Chae thinking for a long while that her recuperating brother was murdered for no reason and MC feeling guilty over doing it.
@PantsuKami I like that Hajin chose to be with the Boss because she is fully grown like Hajin is.
