There are several disclaimers that I wanted to make, since this story doesn't fit well into a number of categories.
The best description that I can use is that the protagonist is a "reverse futanari" (the protagonist looks like a man and is psychologically a man in every way except having a vagina). It's similar to some omegaverse/ger settings where male omegas can have female anatomy, or reminiscent of transgender/intersex men in general.
Although this story attempts a semi-serious examination of the protagonist's gender/anatomy struggles, particularly with regards to societal gender roles, I don't feel totally comfortable classifying it as transgender male fiction because:
- I'm not transmale (although I am nonbinary)
- The protagonist doesn't experience body dysphoria
- Some content in this story may be triggering for actual transgender men (i.e. detailed description of female anatomy)
Due to these factors, I think it's important to recognize that I've created a fantasy gender and imagined a whole series of issues that aren't realistic or representative of transgender men on Earth. Please be aware of this while reading this story, and I hope this forward can serve as a trigger warning for anyone stumbling upon this from the LGBT community.
This will be a wild ride
