There was an idea.

To banish war from ever happening.

Probably the only one, who's strong enough to build upon that idea.

To be the only one, whoever succeeds in stoping war before it even happens.

The Lone Queen.

The Descent God on Earth.

The Demon of the Battlefield.

That title was only a nickname but, with that nickname.

It also brings another meaning, behind the word 'Unreachable'.

To put it short.

Feared.

The existence that recreates the legend of god who Descent to earth, to stop the ongoing war. But, with that, it's also come with the cost of bloodshed.

It's already more than 20 years since that happened and I never really think much about it.

I'm not even born yet when that war is happening.

Why thinking about someone whose the probability of me meeting her is close to none, right? 

It's just a waste of time.

And that... Was what I think at that time.

Ahh, the naive mind of a child, who would rather play than study history.

Cursed you and your way of thinking at that time.

Why?

Because now the person right in front of me is That very same person.

And The very same, Lone Queen.

"Wow, Ray... Your moves..."

She said that with a soft voice.

"It's suck. You are bad at this game..."

There is no mocking tone in her way of speaking.

But,

Towards her words, I'm only able to stay silent.

Why?

Who's also happens to be my opponent in this game of chess.

Was the current ruler of the kingdom.

"This is your 15th lose."

"Ah, she's right. You are really bad at this."

What a turn of events, 

So, just what happened before this moment?

Just what is the thing that leads me to this moment?

Let's take go back a little.

Naomi and I were supposed to be on the journey to be meeting the client who asks me to create a weapon that would rival primordial weapons.

But because of my gut feeling, I decided to meet and confirm the said client. 

And depending on the client, I either keep Alpha to myself or letting them to have her.

But, neither did I know. Naomi's client was actually the current Queen.

And as a greeting towards the upcoming relationship. 

She asks me to play a game of chess with her.

'A really weird way to start a business relationship' 

I think so to myself.

'But let's go with the flow, after all, it will only be one game.'

Neither that I know, those words will lead me to 15 games of lose streaks.

While this, certainly makes me realize how bad I am at Chess.

It makes me more confused about the Queen's intention.

Probably just like what she said, 

'this is just a friendly game of chess.'

But, those damn sweet words. 

I hate this game.

I hate this world.

And I even hate myself now.

Just let this game over already.

Please, Your Majesty... I Beg you...

With a wry smile each time I got checkmated. 

The game continues.

within a small room, two people are currently playing the game of chess.

One is a really beautiful woman, with long brown hair and green eyes. The Queen herself.

The other one is a young man with black hair and eyes, who from his expression seems to be in an uneasy situation.

It's obvious, the person he currently playing with is the absolute leader of this country.

There is no way normal commoners would be able to stay relax in this kind of situation.

The game is chess. 

The information outside states that it is Queen's favorite game. 

The one game that she's often played when meeting with someone.

Knowing the Queen's position as a leader, enjoying chess is nothing out of ordinary.

Even many noblemen often choose chess as a hobby.

But, the truth is. The Queen uses chess to observe one's behavior.

She meets a lot of people. And there is simply not enough time to know them on a personal level.

But, by playing chess she can observe one's decision-making skills.

To put it short, people's tendency.

And how they would react to the existence of the Queen as their opponent.

The Queen's ability at chess is ordinary.

One's can conclude as such by playing few games with her.

And because of that, it actually makes it easy for her, to observe her opponent's tendency.

For example,

Will, they lose intentionally?

Will, they focused on winning?

What move they will do if she makes these 'blunders'?

Those kinds of small behavior.

Something that said a lot about a person.

When they focused on what decision they'll make.

The Queen focuses on observing one's true tendency.

Or that is what usually happened.

Through one miracle or another.

Ray was never got to the point where he considered the Queen's position as his opponent.

He just never got to the point where realized the Queen's ability at chess.

It's not like he plays carelessly.

I can see the reasoning behind his move.

But, for some reason every time he makes a decision he would say 'ack-' Like regretting his own actions. 

Which then, lead him to make another decision that detached from his previous move.

And with that, after the 2nd game Queen shift her strategy. 

From, observing his behaviors.

To straight up pressuring him by using intimidating offensive moves.

Sure enough with every move, Ray let out a little reaction.

Observing the Queen. somehow, she seems to be enjoying herself.

Well, I couldn't really blame her.

Looking at Ray, he is completely oblivious towards all of her teasing.

I'm felt a bit sorry for him.

But, It's kinda cute to watch.

It's like watching a little child getting teased by his older sibling without the child even realizing it.

'ah, another checkmate.'

And, the game continues...

I wonder how long this game has to go on for the Queen to learn Ray's tendency.

It is already the 18th game. 

But, Ray is still not yet to look at the Queen's direction and realize that this entire time the Queen is smiling.
