“The devil of Ashen?” Mana asked with curiosity, followed by the others who looked the same. It was natural that they didn’t know who ‘Lucia’ is as she is a devil powerful enough to annihilate almost all kingdoms and even Empires she passed, she was configured to be that way.

Little records would be left of each action she does, and those records tend to be lost either from age or be told as fables or tables instead but all of the records that if still remains now are true and even underwhelming underwritten by their authors.

“I don’t know how to explain it but the Devil of Ashen, according to my ancestors is a devil that had the power to turn anything into ashes, earning a reputation in the ancient ages after decimating four empires and eighty-six kingdoms within two months…” I explained.

Naturally, the backstory came from Solis VR which was written by another author who was a close friend of both Kaori and me. There could be even more backstory to her that we don’t know which makes the situation even more complicated as we never know what goes inside her head.

“Two months… how did you know from a glance that the circle there is the same one for summoning her?” Aurora asked with a serious frown that made me sweat a bit as I sped up my thought processing before coming up with another lie.

“It’s because of a book back on the continent I came from, the book had a page dedicated to how the magic circle looked and how to counter the circle which is a simple process. There is even a twenty-six-page-long process on how to seal her if the inevitable happens,” I answered before she looked into my eye with all seriousness before nodding.

“If what you are saying is correct then we must assemble several raid-tier, highly-classified teams to attack all radius of basement. Not to mention, we also have to inform His Majesty over the situation since among all of the people in the continent, he and his daughter are one of the strongest… we also have two people on your side who are among the list…” Aurora smiled wryly.

Two people… right, Leisha and Kaori who were both one of the strongest in the continent… with Kaori specifically strong enough to even be considered as the same level as the Sword Empress, coincidentally, the two uses swords as their main weapon.

“I will try asking them… but don’t have my guarantee, I will respect their decisions no matter what…” I said before she nodded.

“No worries, we will also respect their decisions and even reward them handsomely from participating… though, I don’t think we even have a reward for that white-haired girl… after all, she is a super influential figure that could surpass His Majesty if she wanted to…” she added.

Indeed, during His Majesty and Kaori’s meeting, it was visible that she could overwhelm him many dozens of times but that girl who is always on His Majesty’s side is also someone powerful being technically Flora’s ‘elder sister’ in a sense since she is an older Great Spirit.

“Anyhow, what about us?” Hannah who looked sleepy as always asked together with Kayla. The two were not to be underestimated, from what I heard, Hannah is a spirit user which allows her to see and communicate with spirits—intelligent creatures born from blobs of nature—meanwhile, Kayla herself can utilize medium-tier level spells.

“Hmm… I am thinking of assigning the two of you to be on the assist side but that is after seeing the instructions and details from the book that Ayumi will provide since we don’t know the true nature and those other kinds of stuff about this devil…” Aurora said.

“I’ll partake with the front-liners,” Estelle volunteered before looking at me as she smiled, “But that is after seeing that KABOOM spell of yours again.”

Right… that KABOOM spell she always talks about which was basically something from when I first came here. Though, the current iteration I have is called “Thorny Rain” which is basically a skill from Solis tiered at Lower High which is still super strong.

“I’ll go in the front-line as we—” Mana’s elder sister tried to volunteer only to be stopped by Aurora who looked at her with seriousness.

“No, I want you to distract the two representatives instead. Try to give us as much time as possible by negotiating with them as much as you can but don’t overdo it that they will feel suspicious, make it look as if it was normal but near impossible demands.”

She hesitated a bit but soon after nodded as Aurora glanced at me with a nod, “Ayumi, you will be heading to the frontline as well since your power is well-needed. Also, if possible, try to bring the book by tomorrow or within two days from now… well, as soon as you can receive it—is it possible?”

“It is a bit hard since the book is on another continent, after all…” I lied before she frowned her eyebrows.

“Then, can you write down at least a fairly detailed description of what you know… from the method of sealing to the method of breaking the circle’s magic flow?” she asked which was an easy request, especially with Kaori since she can help me remember as well.

“Mhm… I can write them down within a day or night at my fastest,” I responded before she nodded before looking at Mana with a wry smile.

“As much as I want to invite you, the fact lies that the Great Spirit still is clingy with you which is why I will prohibit you from participating otherwise the entire world will have another problem to undertake while we are busy doing our stuff,” she said.

Mana looked at us with a wrier smile, you could tell she wanted to prove her strength once more only to be barred away. Her power only awakened because she wanted to become strong after all, yet even despite having her new powers, she is still forbidden from participating.

“I understand…” she answered before hugging my arm as she smiled, “I will wait for all of you to come back safely.”

“You don’t have to worry about that…” I hugged her back before Aurora coughed as she gestured us to leave as if she was annoyed by our lovey-dovey moment.

“That’s enough planning… I will try to assemble at least eight raid-level teams from both the Queenshelm and the people I know… in the meantime, all of you should head back and prepare all your gear, ensure they are in their best conditions and also prepare what everything needed…”

All of us understood what she meant at the end, that everything needed also means ‘prepare any wills if possible’ which despite how awful it sounds is a good idea especially when you have an opponent similar to that serpent… I would bet that even Aurora and Seele had their own wills prepared at that time.

“That’s all for now! You are all now dismissed!” she said before all of us left one by one, leaving with a heavy expression… an expression that is looking towards the future with fear, anxiousness, and sadness.

— The other side….

“How is the plan going?” a black-haired lady sat on a throne, holding her skeleton staff on her hand as she wore a witch hat, looking down at several hooded men who were being watched constantly by hundreds to thousands of knights.

“Your Majesty, everything is ready… we can execute our plan anytime you want,” one of the hooded men answered before the lady smiled as she gestured them to leave before looking up at the ceiling with a bright smile.

“Solis… Ayumi and Kaori— our world is now a reality… where are you two, I hope I can find you in time before those wicked cults can summon that devil…” the lady mumbled.
