Emma led Meggie to the back of the apartment, where there were a pair of rooms facing each other. One had a blue sign saying 'Perry' while the other had a pink sign saying 'Emma.'

Meggie raised an eyebrow and said, "Blue and pink? That's kind of basic, isn't it?"

Emma giggled as she placed her hand on the doorknob. "It is... but they're our favorite colors. Perry likes blue, and I like pink."

"Mm, fair..."

Emma opened the door and looked back at Meggie. "Do you not have a sign on your bedroom, Meggie?"

Meggie shook her head. "Nah. Mom and Dad have their own room and my big sister Alphy doesn't really live with us much anymore. There's not really a need for it, you know? Besides, it's not like we'd walk into each other's bedrooms." She paused and said, "Why DO you have a sign anyway?"

"Oh. Well..." Emma walked inside her room and said, "Growing up, Perry and I shared pretty much everything. So... it's just nice having things that are just mine. You know?"

"Ah." Meggie slowly nodded. "I can understand that."

She couldn't really relate considering she had pretty much grown up as a single child doted on by her mother and father... well, mostly mother. But Meggie could understand how that would feel.

"Anyway..." Emma closed the door behind Meggie and then waved her arm. "Tadah! This is my room!"

Meggie took a look around and then paused. "You... really do like pink, huh?"

The entire room was covered in pink. The wallpaper was pink, there were pink frills and fluffy stuffed animals dressed in pink gowns. The curtains were a light pink lace... And then there was a lot of strawberry themed things too, like journals, books, and stuff.

Meggie almost had to resist the urge to rub her eyes at how... girly? Pink? Just... over the top it was. Like, it was almost too sweet for her taste. Heck, Tsuki liked girly and pink stuff too, but this was... kind of extra.

Emma blushed and fiddled with her hands. "I-Is it too much?"

"Honestly, a little." Meggie nodded. "But it suits you." She laughed and said, "It's sweet, just like you, Emma."

Emma giggled. "Thanks, Meggie. Um... make yourself at home! You can look around whatever you want!"

"Alright." Meggie tucked her hands into her sweatshirt pocket and walked around, taking a look at everything. Although the pink had blindsided her, on closer look not EVERYTHING was pink. There was a lot of normal stuff too mixed in. Pictures, posters, and stuff like that. But what really caught Meggie's eyes were the Project MirAIs merch dotted here and there.

It wasn't much. But there was definitely a small Hana Homura figurine mixed in with some acrylic idol standees, and also a group picture of Prototype framed on the bedside. Still, it was just a drop compared to all the other idol group merch Emma had on display.

Meggie whistled and said, "You mentioned you liked idols, but you REALLY like idols, huh?"

Emma noticed Meggie looking at Hana's figurine and walked over, adjusting it a bit. "I do." She smiled, staring at Hana's figurine. Then she set it down and looked at Meggie. "Idols give hope to people and make them happy. At least, Mom always did. So... I want to do the same someday."

Meggie hummed and said, "You want to be an idol?"

Emma nodded. "I do. But... I'll probably wait until I'm a bit older." She lowered her face and fidgeted. "Mom... Um. She said it's not safe for girls that are too young to be idols..."

Meggie's face darkened for a bit. But then she smoothed her expression and nodded. "Your mom's right. Dad... Well. Let's say that we found out firsthand how icky the idol industry can get."

"Yeah..." Emma sighed. "Still!" She looked determined and said, "I'm going to be an idol when I'm older! So I can make people smile just like my oshis Miss Hana and Miss Alfi!"

'...Does she know?' Meggie tilted her head, wondering for a bit if Emma realized that she had met one of her oshis already. '...Nah, Emma would have said something. But huh. Is the disguise really that good?'

It seemed like Meggie had to give her dad a bit more credit if Rin could wander around and not have even her diehard fans recognize her.

...Though to be fair, Rin acted a bit more extra and out there in real life, so maybe that played a bit part in it too...

Emma smiled and sat on her bed. "What about you, Meggie?"

"Hm?" Meggie blinked and looked at Emma. "What about me?"

"Well..." Emma smoothed her skirt and said, "Do you have any dreams for the future? Or goals?"

Meggie sat down next to Emma. "Hm... Not really." Meggie crossed her arms and said, "I'm just kind of taking it day by day. But I guess I really should start thinking about that, huh?"

Alphy was already half-moved out with Asako. Betty had already started up her own life basically.

And going by the standards of this world, Meggie only had... what, six? Five? Years before she was considered a full proper adult too and had to figure things out.

Of course, she wasn't worried. Mom and Dad would never kick her out. And they had more than enough money for Meggie to laze about all her life if she wanted.

But now that Emma had mentioned it...

And also remembering what had happened to Emma...

"...I guess I kind of just want to be like Dad, after all."

"Huh?" Emma blinked. "Like your dad?"

"Mm." Meggie nodded. "I just want to help people who need it. And to make sure idiots don't run around ruining things." She uncrossed her arms and then smiled at Emma. "Who knows? Maybe I'll be an idol too. We can cheer people up together then."

Emma's eyes sparkled and she grabbed Meggie's hands. "I'd love that, Meggie!"

Meggie laughed. "Well, there's still time. And we need at least three people for a group, right? I think I can wrangle one more to join us if we have some time..."

Tsuki had ditched Meggie for a while now...

That meant it was fine if Meggie guilt-tripped her a bit to help out by being an idol, right? And Tsuki had wanted to be one anyway from what Meggie remembered...

Emma let out a content sigh. "That would be fun..."

"Yeah. It would."

A comfortable silence passed between the two.

But after a bit, Meggie looked at Emma and said, "Hey, Emma."

"Yeah, Meggie?"

"What do you want to do?"

Emma blushed and fidgeted with her skirt. "W-Well, I just wanted to talk a bit and get to know each other more. Is that okay...?"

Meggie shook her head. "No. I mean, yeah. We can do that. But I'm not talking about that, Emma. I mean about yesterday. About how those girls left you locked in the locker and... all that." Her eyes flashed for a moment before she took a breath to calm down. After that, Meggie looked at Emma serious and said, "Do you want revenge?"
