I see morning sliding up from behind
The mountain of buildings, red ghost
Of a sky slipping through shadow
Or some poetic shit like that.
Something has changed.
It hasn’t been that long,
Yet my mind is clearer.
Guess I didn't need sleep.
Maybe i will start rhyming again,
Perhaps even become somewhat sane
...never mind. Maybe,
I should do a haiku.
Okay. here we go:

Morning sliding up
Red ghost slipping through shadow
A frog vomits

There
Nailed it.

Personally, never got the point
Of haiku (or poetry for that matter.)
But haiku especially.
Seems to be obsessed
Over nature
As if nature is
So great.
I mean, i like pictures,
I like paintings of nature,
But when you go outside
It’s just...there…
And then walk a little farther
And a bear runs towards you
Or a hawk steals your bread
And you forgot where you are
And your phone is dead.
There is a reason why
We left nature. I guess
It’s why we can appreciate nature
As a handsome curio
That we can visit, give a friendly wave to.
We’ve shielded ourselves
From the danger
Now we can write poems
Like this one:

Dusty trail, a bird
Soaring against blue, diving
Towards your trail mix

Oof. Sorry about that.
