4, Month Fall-Amberine, Year 2763 B.A.

04:35, Demon Mountain Range

Looking at the dead bodies on the ground, Isabella couldn’t help but felt awed. While a perfect circle mage like her could actually kill them all, it wouldn’t be that easy. The fight would probably last at least ten-minutes odd. She probably got some injuries when exchanging blows with them as well.

Yet, that fight concluded with just a single word from her.

That was how vast the difference between a normal being and a sage was.

They were incomparable.

With this power… maybe I could kill Yao? She thought to herself before she quickly shook her head. After all, that was impossible. While her power did grow significantly, killing a person with an undying body still wasn’t such a straightforward matter.

The reason she could kill these beasts easily was that she could actually kill them, even without the law in the first place. This was why when she activated her law, the power of it was amplified massively.

But with Yao... Thing wouldn’t be exactly the same.

They were still—technically—at the same level, and Yao also had his unique physique.

After condensing her own Law of Death, Isabella understood a lot more about the undying body. Yao’s body—an undying physique—also operated on some aspect of the Law of Death. It was a blessing that came from the law of the world itself.

Her incomplete law against his undying physique…? The odd didn’t seem to favor either side.

She could probably win at the chance of 80-20 as she was now at the half sage level.

But to kill him? ...Probably not.

And that still didn’t account for some hidden life-saving methods from Yao at all. With him being the leader of the bear tribe at the moment, it would be impossible for him to lack any hidden measurement at all.

He probably has somethings that he hasn’t revealed yet...

If she had time to refine her understanding of the law for a decade or so, it would be a different story—of course. Killing him would be just a matter of flipping her hand then.

But time… Time was the thing that Isabella lacked the most at the moment.

If I could kill Yao, that would probably be the best-case scenario.

Isabella wouldn’t be that optimistic, though. She liked to plan for the worst and hope for the best. That was also the reason why she left the letter for Aila before she had left. She didn’t think that her operation against Yao would be successful in the first place.

But now, Isabella had the power to change the outcome.

While killing Yao would still be too unrealistic, fighting him on an equal footing shouldn’t be too hard. Even if he had some hidden lifesavers, her power of law could still help her overcame them. At the very least, she wouldn’t be in danger like the last time.

At least with this, I could save Aila for sure.

If worst came to worst, Isabella could just grab Aila and escaped. Yao would probably be mad and killed some of their tribe men in frustration. But he shouldn’t kill all of them, as that would be counterproductive to his plan to unify the Alliance.

If Isabella could take Aila, the two of them could just hide—hidden away until Isabella became strong enough to kill Yao for sure. She could just rescue her tribe and took her revenge when that time had came. This was probably her best option.

Aila would probably be mad for sure.

Isabella thought about Aila and smiled a little. It was a hint of joy mixed with a bit of troubled kind of smile. Aila was that kind of person that she would rather sacrifice herself to make her tribe lived.

But that wasn’t necessarily the same for Isabella. As an orphan, her life was always meaningless. She was just an insignificant figure that could just disappear anytime, and nobody would even notice.

Isabella’s life only became more colorful after she had met with Aila.

She had a new home, a job, and a precious friend. All of these would never occur if she hadn’t met Aila—a kind princess that wanted to save everyone.

That was why Aila will always have a special place in her heart. That was why Isabella would rather save only Aila and abandoned the rest of her tribe.

In this regard, she was probably worse than Halamar.

While he indeed sold Aila out, and even betrayed Isabella, his intent was probably survival—both for himself and the tribe.

She will hate me for sure.

Isabella sighed.

The option to abandon the tribe would, of course, be her last resort. She wouldn’t choose it until it was the only way to make Aila survive.

After considering all her options, she then picked up the tablet to report to her benefactor.

“Thank you very much for your guidance, sage.” Isabella said to the tablet humbly. Her voice filled with respect. “I have already condensed my own version of the law of the world. I am halfway to becoming sage already. If not for your insight, this wouldn’t happen at all. So, I, would always be in your debt, sage.”

Sage Khun shook his head slightly after reading her words. “No, I did nothing at all. All of your success is because of your effort. Don’t give yourself too little credit.”

“…!”

Even if this was only possible because of him, sage Khun didn’t even take credit at all. Probably only people with such a noble heart could become sage and still keep helping other people like this...

Listen to his words, Isabella couldn’t help but became more impressed of sage Khun. She wanted to repay him somehow, but she didn’t know what he wanted at all. No, Isabella felt like she couldn’t afford anything sage Khun required at all.

Isabella sighed to herself. She then shifted her gaze to the chatroom which was now filled with congratulation messages from other followers of sage Khun. The catgirl smiled slightly and sent her word of gratitude to them too.

“So now... you will go and fight him… that guy?” the sage asked after the chatroom calmed down a little. His voice was neutral. It was as if he, also, wasn’t too optimistic about the fight. Isabella didn’t question his perception too much. She answered him trustfully.

“I will probably have to fight him, sage.” she said. “But I wouldn’t too sure about the odds of winning at all as my law isn’t complete yet. The chance of killing him now… would be too difficult!”

“Hmm…” sage Khun didn’t deny or confirmed her. His face was expressionless and enigmatic that Isabella couldn’t read his emotion at all.

“But, please don’t worry about it, great sage.” Isabella quickly expressed her thoughts. “This happened because I wasn’t competent enough to understand your insight. If I was more capable than this, it wouldn’t happen at all. You have already helped me more than enough, sage.”

Isabella was a bit reluctant to get a solution from him, but she couldn’t bring herself to ask. After all, he had helped her more than she could ever ask for already. The value of the interpretation of the law of the world alone was simply too valuable. It was something that countless people sought after their entire life, yet they never came across.

As someone who already stepped halfway to a sage level, Isabella could be counted as an extremely fortunate person already.

But before she was about to give up.

Something happened in the chatroom that made her almost believed that this was the luckiest day of her entire life.

[SealedFate: @DefinitelyNotACat Before this, you mentioned that a Purgatory flame is one of the ways that could kill him…]

[SealedFate: Actually, I have something to tell you.]

[SealedFate: It is about the Purgatory flame.]

Life really does bring some wonderful things sometimes…

Isabella shook her head slightly after reading the texts from SealedFate. She then looked toward the direction of her tribe, her eyes full of determination.

Wait for me a little more, Aila.

I will definitely save all of us.

4, October, Year 2021

20:30, No Good Apartment

“Interesting…” I could only say that to myself after ending the stream.

Why?

It seems like SealedFate, LittleSnow, and DefinitelyNotACat have all decided to meet in an offline meeting. They want to deepen their fantasy… no… their friendship together.

This is such an activity full of youthful moments. (Except it is full of Chuunibyou.)

Seeing that my stream has caused people to make friends together makes me a little happy.

My work isn’t just a work of role-playing anymore, it seems like it has became real. At least, it could be a connection to these 3 persons that had nothing in common at all. (Except their Chuunibyou, of course.)

LittleSnow… She is a student with hopeless grade that wants to escape reality.

SealedFate… He is just a poor boy that got his heartbroken from his first love.

DefinitelyNotACat… She is a young woman that seems to enjoy acting like a cat. She also has some unique desire of wanting to be a protagonist of her own story.

With the problem each of them has, they come to seek the refuge of life in my stream.

Their life now could connect with each other, and me, because of my Livestream.

This is indeed a wonderful thing.

Not only they could make friends with each other. I could also benefit from another viewership increase. Such a win-win scenario.

After all… With this, I have tricked another viewer into watching my stream…

Wonderful indeed…

Hmm…

Somehow the word “trick” seems like a poor choice of word here.

After all, “trick” should mean that there is one side deceiving another.

But that isn’t what is happening between us at all!

We all know perfectly that what is going in on behind the scene here. Not only DefinitelyNotACat, but LittleSnow and SealedFate too.

It is just role-playing that both sides agree on. So, there is no trickery involved at all.

We understand each other perfectly.

Well, I understand them at least...

At least 90%, that is for sure.

There is nothing 100% in this world, after all.
