A week passed since I rescued Arthur and took refugees into our land.

Everything is going great, our farmland is expanding, and our water distribution system help. We can transport needed items and materials.

Over that, women and children brought joy into the whole place. Before I accepted the refugees, all the sounds echoed inside came from forges making weapons and tools or workers, fixing the city.

Old sounds are still there, but now we can hear laughter and children's happy cries among them. It is helping to keep morale up here.

But laughter is not the only thing these new refugees brought. Since their religion is forbidden, no law or kingdom protects their lives or right. So to not be destroyed. They learned many professions that can help where they live, from chemistry and medicine to all types of craftsmanship.

I am happy to see them working relentlessly. They are even more efficient than any dwarf or human prisoner. I am even scared that they are pushing themselves too much.

"Dear Champion, may I take your precious time. Goddess wants to talk."

Oracle, a young girl who can communicate Goddes of Mercy, is the most valued person amongst all followers because of her ability.

"If it is anything private, first go somewhere else."

Oracle nodded with her and stopped any of her movements.

She currently looks like a statue, but from the purple lights dancing in her eyes, I know that's because she is talking to Goddes herself.

"Divine one says that a private place would be better."

I nodded with my head. "Then come."

I still have many trusts issues because of the past, and there is no way I will be trusting a god since it's their kin who threw me inside this world. That's why I need people to protect my back if anything happens.

For example, my dear lizard friend, who can fly and breathe out ice is one of the creatures that I can trust.

With Oracle walking just a step behind me, we walked next to Fionnlagh, sleeping on the floor.

The Giant beast is curled up and slowly moving his tail while sleeping. I must admit it, he looks cute when sleeping, but he is a Wyvern, not a house cat.

I crouched next to the Wyvern and patted his head. "Wake up, buddy. I need your services."

Fionnlagh quickly got up from his sleep and stood up with all of his might with my command.

"You look magnificent as ever, my friend. Now stand down because I need to climb onto your back."

Over the time I got used to climbing to Fionnlagh's back, its scales are doing great as a stepping stool, and riding, while lack of any saddle is annoying, I don't make long flights anyway.

"Oracle, are you not coming." She is staying away from Wyvern. I can understand that she is still a child in the end.

I jumped out and grabbed Oracle from her waist. "You don't need to be scared of our friend here. He wouldn't hurt a fly. Long as I don't order him to do."

"Sorry, Goddes's Champion, but can you please put me down!"

"If that's what you want." I threw her towards the back of Fionnlagh. Smart Wyvern quickly changed his position and cath her. "Here you go."

I climbed on Fionnlagh once again and patted Wyverns head. "Let's go to the castle, friend, no one is there, and it would be a proper place to greet a Goddes if you ask me." I moved closer to the beast's head and whispered. "Do a little show."

With my command, Fionnlagh screeched and opened his wings, and he ran through a straight pat and jumped upwards, then began flying.

I turned to Oracle. "Are you enjoying the ride?"

"Not much, but it is okay for now." Let's give her more then!

"Fionnlagh, I want to inspect giant crystals at the top. Could you fly up to there, then maybe we can dive towards the castle, and maybe you can do a flip what you say?"

Wyvern cheerfully screeched and began climbing up to the sky.

"Why?"

I laughed. "Don't worry, nothing will happen, and in the worst case, we can catch you before you fall, probably."

"Probably!"

And before she began complaining, Fionnlagh increased his speed, and Oracle grabbed me with all of her power.

Shortly after, we finally closed to the top much as we could, then Fionnlagh began slowly gliding through the massive crystals at the top, and I must admit it, they are beautiful from close, too shiny, but beautiful.

I managed to grab a piece before Fionnlagh began diving down like a falcon. "Now that is a new speed record, buddy!" Poor Oracle, she completely stopped making any sound. That's enough torturing her.

I pat Fionnlaghs head, and Wyvern decreased his speed.

"Don't worry, we arrived, but be careful. Landings are a little rough."

Seconds later, Fionnlagh touched the open area in front of the castle's entrance, and the impact shook both of us, but we quickly recovered.

"Oracle, you know what I like most about this castle? It is its design. You can see every inch of the city from here, and thanks to seemingly never-ending stairs stretching from down to up here, make it hard to siege here. I mean, any soldier trying to reach here will probably die from fatigue, of course not literally."

Oracle slowly got off from Fionnlaghs back and took a deep breath when she touched the ground again. "I am glad that Dwarvens built such a magnificent structure, but please Champion, Goddes is waiting."

"Well, what are we waiting for then. Do your thing."

With my command, Oracle kneeled before me and stopped moving like a statue, then the purple light inside of her eyes came out of her body and took a shape similar to that "Divine" being I saw before coming to this world.

"I am glad to see you again, Lich King Erwin."

"It is good to see you too, Goddes of Mercy. It had been a long time since I last saw you." Her voice, soft and charming as ever, but I do not trust any gods.

"Yes, I know. Firstly, I celebrate your achievement of establishing a force and somehow creating a bond between three enemy factions. I never expected for you to make Dwarven kin, Humans, and Forbidden Gods followers take the same side."

"That isn't a big deal. I don't know if the God kin knows about that, but we mortals have more meaningful problems than what other mortals believe or what they look like unless something or someone puts the idea and starts a war."

"I don't think so, you are new to this world, but we saw a great war before you. It appears that people do care about what others look like or think."

"Long as you force that idea, they do. I don't think any human just hated dwarfs because they are dwarfs, but rather because of the friction between you and other gods."

"I never ordered any follower of mine to hate other creatures or anything."

"Yes, but others did. Arent your kin is responsible for forcefully kidnapping people from their planets and turning them into either "Heroes" or "Villians" in your game?"

She gasped, like what will she do. That's the truth.

"Tell me, Goddes weren't your kin choosing and bringing people to play those two roles, even before the civil war between your kin."

Goddess opened her mouth but didn't say anything. She is even keeping her eyes away from me, like a child getting scolded by its family.

A familiar voice stopped the silence. "Let me answer then." He is Kobold King. I don't know when he came here or how he heard about our talk, but I want to learn what he says.

But there is someone who is even more surprised than me, Goddess herself. "Uralt. I wasn't expecting your appearance."

"Old humble me is only here to make things clear for our friend here. He is not one of those dumb children who want to become heroes no matter what. He is a man who is confused by all of the possible sides he can join."

"Kobold King." I greeted him with a bow. "I have a question, when did this game begin?"

"A long time ago." He smiled. "A very long time ago that which both of us knew, right Goddes, will you tell it or should I?"

"Please, it will be your pleasure." Goddess took a step back.

"Then we must start from the first creation. Tens of thousands of years ago, when Children of The Forest still roamed freely, Demons and Above were still siblings, Dragon Mother freely flew in the sky, and Mu didn't step out of the water. There were no gods. At those simpler times, I was just a powerless creature, enjoying my life, then they came!" He pointed to the Goddes with his staff.

"Don't talk about us like we are invaders." Goddess almost attacked but immediately took a step back. "Sorry, keep going."

"When they first came, several other beings came with them, human kin being the most important. With no established kingdoms like today, human kin grew, mated, and fought with no pressure above them, against with us, and each other."

Goddess of mercy stepped into the talk. "As you can understand, Lich King, most of the creatures of this world, like demi-humans, elves, or centaurs, are here because of cross-breeding between humans and other races."

"Yes, they are, like it is a good thing." Kobold King cut Goddes words. "I can understand the rest of the story later, but shortly, they used humans to invade our world because they were scared of the One That Is Almighty's rules and only touched to the ground in their weakened Avatar forms, which Ancient Protectors fend of many times."

Wait, a creature that even gods are scared of, what the hell? "Wait, who is that Almighty. Doesn't gods have infinite power?"

Kobold King began laughing uncontrollably. He is almost rolling on the ground. "They call themselves gods, but no, their strength, while on a level we cannot challenge is not infinite, and the Almighty? Even I don't know about that thing much, but far as I know, its powers are unique, and no god can ever dare to think about challenging it rather actually doing."

Interesting, but scary that how little I am in this universe.

"Back to our talk, and about me. I am one of the ancient ones, thanks to no one but one person. The First Lich King, the human who rebelled against God's rules. That's also why I am helping you, a token of gratitude."

"But no Lich past him ever did something similar, I suppose."

"Yes, Lich King's after him were just toys used by gods and used his name, then here it comes to today. The world is getting worse with each generation, and division is higher than any time."

Goddess stepped forward once again. "That's why I am asking his help, Uralt, not because I want to rule the world."

Kobold King bowed forward. "I know you are unique even amongst the god kin since you witnessed some of the feelings we mortals feel from first hand, both good and bad. That's why I trust and respect you, but let our Lich friend talk."

Too much knowledge, but no. This time I have an answer.

"It shouldn't be my job to clean all of the mess caused by your kin, but Goddes of Mercy! Remember that I am not your Champion, and Kobold King, I am not here to send the gods away from this world forever. It is your choice to support me or not in my path."

"And what is your path, Lich King." Kobold King smiled.

"Only the future will tell, but I have a single goal, to conquer the world, I know it is hard, and I probably fail while trying to do it, but I had enough of your bullshit. Do you two want to stop the division? I can do that. Freedom and equality for all creatures, I will do. That's where my strength comes from, the ones that are sick of the rules of this world, but I will do this on my way, so support it or not, don't dare to stop me."

"We will not." Both said at the same time.

"Great, now anything else?"

"I have one." Kobold King grabbed me from the hands. His grip was weirdly too powerful. I can't even move an inch. "Dear Wolf, I know many things, and I will learn many more too. While I cannot help you on anything, please take this."

"Warning." After a long time, the Voice finally talked. "A new power is granted: Knowledge Of Age's."

Kobold King smiled. "It isn't much, but it will provide you with valuable information about elements, magic, and how it works. Still, I cannot directly give those to you. That's why I granted you this, now you can discover them by yourself, and please visit me two days later. I will have one more gift for you."

And as Kobold King released his grip, Oracle, controlled by Goddes, grabbed my hands. "Sorry, I cannot provide you with the strength you will desperately need in the future, but take this as a token of gratitude for helping my followers.

"New power granted: Purification."

"You already have something similar to this ability, but you need a stronger version. I desperately want to fix the wrongs done by my siblings for a long time, but I cannot because of some rules you won't understand, but you must know that many beings you will encounter as monsters in this world are cursed, like you, please free them from their curse, and they will most likely join you on your crusade." Oracle released her grip.

I don't know what to say. I don't know what to do, and I probably put myself on a bigger problem than I already had before, but when did the Great Wolf take a step back from a challenge.
