"You bet I did! I can't and cannot miss out just how badass he can be when he's butchering those self-confident bastards! It always makes me feel good that shuts like these get killed! " Kevin
"Not to mention after this he is going to kill mudman that is causing these to happen! I can't want to see how that fight is going to be it's going to be epic! " Marco
"Shut up Marc! There are people here who haven't read the manga nor the novel! Like poor Peter here. " Adeline
"Then they should start reading it! Cmon there's literally almost half a year between season one and season two! A hardcore enough fan should just go and read the novel while waiting for the anime! " Marco

"Explain about how you got around half a GB is saved ero novels then" Kevin
Hearing this made Peter blush as his sacred stack of "studies" has been found by this bastard Kevin.
"Shut up Kevin if Luca knows this he will raid my hard disks! " Peter

"OK OK stop arguing everyone is looking at us now" Marco
Adeline and Kevin look around and saw that everyone in the room (save from some that are asleep for some reason) is now looking at them with curious looks. This causes Adeline to immediately bows down and apologize to everyone there.
"That's very embarrassing" Kevin
"Says the one that doesn't have a shame of calling a girl a boy" Adeline
"Let's stop now before everyone decide that there's still some show to watch here. " Marco
' Jeez do these guys have to argue every time on the most smallest things... It makes them look like couples. If Adeline is straight and Kevin isn't that focused on anime girls that is. ' Beno
' speaking of which where is Luca he should be here earlier than us since his class ends early' Beno
With this question, Beno decided that he wanted to ask his gang about what Luca is doing and what is taking him so long.
"Now that you think about it shouldn't Luca be here? " Marco
"How the hell would I know, I'm not him and I can't detect where is he even" Peter
"Speaking of which I heard that somehow a lady of the corridor collapsed due to underground waterworks just before I came here " Adeline
"Luca can't be involved in there right? I mean his class is literally in the opposite direction to this room to yours" Kevin
"Plus you know he can't go down easily. You know how shitty his luck is when it comes to these kinds of things. " Marco
"Yeah, that time when he literally stops to tie his shoelace when a step more would cause a flowerpot to hit his head!" Beno
"Why is there a flowerpot there anyways I heard it is when you Luca and Marco was going home right" Adeline
"Yeah apparently the neighbors are throwing thrash again through the window and it hit another neighbor's flowerpot and it fell down" Beno
"He should go and accept it! It's clearly the vision of God that wants to isekai him! " Peter
"You want to get isekai this badly?" Beno

"O tell us tell us we only talked about anime isekais but we never knew what would you guys want to be after isekaing!" Kevin

With that statement comes with almost a minute of silence... awkward silence.
"You want to be a girl... Is it because you can't have me as a boy then you want me as a girl..." Adeline
Although it is known that Kevin likes Adeline since the moment they are in the same class, nobody in the group ever thought that Kevin would go so far to catch Adeline's eyes.
"With your looks, I'm damn sure that you don't need to be with an otaku girl like me right? " Adeline
Surely with Kevin's looks, it won't be tough to get girls to fall over him. After all, in this school where almost 90% of the students have black or dark brown hair, he is the only one who has blonde hair. His blonde hair with that slicked-back hairstyle made him very attractive to the girls. Not to mention is that his slightly fit body which can be said as not too macho and not too thin makes him even more attractive. His nearly 190cm tall figure made him more imposing at the same time cooler.
Adeline on the other hand can be said as a perfect school idol with a height of 170 ish makes her a perfect match to the tall Kevin while her pass shoulder ponytail and also her hourglass body which always attract the attention of the boys made herself very alluring. Hence it's not without reason that Kevin decided that he wanted to target Adeline. But what confuses everyone is that he is willing to become a girl just to be with Adeline. After all, so far the only male who made a go with her and nearly success is Luca the so-called trap in our school.
Luca is a 174cm tallboy with smooth slightly long black hair that nearly touches the shoulders and his feminine face that altogether with his slim body makes it pretty easy for him to be mixed as a girl.
If it wasn't that Luca was wearing a male uniform, everyone would have thought that Luca would be a girl. And the reason why he had such a high chance with Adeline is also because that he ALMOST looks like a girl and Adeline is NOT straight. Though in the end Adeline still rejects Luca's advance too.
"Let's stop talking about your weird fetish of wanting to become a girl just to chase me... How about you Marco? I'm sure you would want to be a guy in isekai right?" Adeline

"Well male or female doesn't matter, I just want to try smithing in isekai, I'm not too picky against this gender thing. just make sure I'm a red-head and I'm fine." Peter
"Don't raise flags like this, if you say it this way the reincarnation gods will definitely make you a girl! Imagine a loli red-head dwarf huh." Kevin

"Also draconian really? Out of all the races you want to be such an overpowered race. What do you think you are an isekai protagonist? Do you also want a harem to go with that? and don't you know that draconians live the longest? you will definitely regret it as all others will die before you even grew near to old age lmao. Maybe you will even be a loner and forever virgin considering how rare draconians is in isekais lol. If you wish to be dragons it will be better but draconian... I doubt if there is a lot of them, to be honest," Kevin
"Shut up who wants to be with guys anyways. Imagine that I'm a tall draconian girl with light blue hair with a white bang and the end of the hair turning to white color, along with a red and blue heterochromia eyes, definitely my girl!" Beno
"Now that we talked about us how about you Ade, we wanted to become girls will you want to become a guy?" Kevin
"Who the hell want to be a stupid stinky guy, I want to be a princess~ an oni princess wearing a kimono is definitely a blessing to the eyes. Add a fiery red hair that slowly turns to orange at the end with blood-red eyes." Adeline
"So basically everyone here regardless of gender wants to be a girl in another world huh?" Marco
"I don't think Luca would want to be a girl in another world though, he said he wants to be a macho guy." Beno
"Well, and it's now 2.30... just where is Luca, I want him to treat me with some takoyaki later for making me wait for so long." Kevin
"Id say let's go find him, he would be at his classroom or the canteen... didn't remember him have anywhere to hang out other than these places." Beno
"Also let's check out the collapsed place I'm interested in what happened there." Marco
"I believe the proper term for that would be sinkhole Marco" Peter
"Nobody cares about 'Proper Terms' Mr Knows a Lot and lets go" Kevin
After a 15 minute search each at both the classrooms and also the canteen alongside with a sidetrack on searching the toilets...
"Did he went home early?" Beno
"I wouldn't say so, he isn't the type to just go home without informing us since he knows we are waiting for him." Marco
"Hey look that's the sinkhole I mentioned earlier!" Adeline
"I hope nobody falls into it." Kevin
"Wait why is Luca's bag there?" Adeline pointed towards the bag that is placed on a table near the sinkhole.
"Peter what would you say with this situation using your isekai knowledge." Kevin
"I would say the gods created a hole beneath him in order to transport him to another world! Maybe I can go there too if I jump into that hole." Peter said with a grin on his face.
"Marco grab this stupid before he did something that doesn't fit his exam score." Beno
"Rather shouldn't you go see Adeline first? She's in front of the sinkhole already." Marco
After hearing that Beno immediately look back to the sinkhole and already saw Adelie and Kevin near it with Adelie crying and Kevin almost doing the same as her.
"Didn't you say that Luca has the highest luck within us... Then explain what's down there..." Adeline
Beno looks down and he also can't believe what he had seen beneath the sinkhole. Within the sinkhole is a body, which clearly belongs to Luca with its near girlish features. Though the face is facing down, his scarf that he would wear it no matter the weather is on his neck. the clear indication that the body down there belongs to Luca. Knowing that staying here will only make it more worse for Adeline and Kevin Beno try to move them away from the scene and turn around to see if Marco has handled the stupid Peter to come and help him.
4.00 pm After returning to the anime clubroom
"Maybe we should end early. it's clear that staying here has lost its reason." Beno
"Maybe all 5 should stop by at Luca's house before going back? You know cause I'm sure auntie will be sad..." Adeline
"I'm sure that at this time auntie will be at the hospital or police station or wherever they should be to handle cases like this. They probably won't even be home before 8 or something. Then maybe at that time Peter could go and check them out since you live the nearest." Marco
"You guys ok going home together? Need me and Beno to go with you guys home? You know, the more the merrier." Marco added.
"I think we are fine you guys can go home first, with Luca not here it would be quieter when going home right?" Adeline
"Not like it's going to be too quiet with Marco anyways." Beno
"Hey, I'm not that noisy BENTO!" Marco
"Proved what I said," Beno said with a shrug while adding " ALSO THE NAME IS NOT BENTO DONT ADD AN N ON YOUR OWN"
With this the gang dismissed from the clubroom, unbeknown to them that this gang of 5 will be a gang of 4 when they meet again.
"Of course I do! I even know what to ask for when I get isekaied! " Peter
Half of the isekai protagonists in a nutshell, looking like they waited their entire life to be isekai'd
Anyway I gotta ask, why 2042 tho? It seems so random and it doesn't seem like that being in the near future serve any purpose as well, unless you're a prophet that predicted battlefield 2042 and wanted to hint that??? lmao
Well I kinda randomed a bit of the time but also because I want it to kinda not be at the current moment but in the near future

@Benokelvin It's a multitude of problems, but mostly it's that at our current level of efficiency in use of resources plus pollution, society can't sustain the modern lifestyle.
So long as the rate of innovation keeps up and pollution is ameliorated, then disaster will be avoided, otherwise prepare for a downgrade in first world standards.
