Belgrynd's POV

It is finally time to build my own base. Even though it is located inside a volcano though... but first, what is important is the layout! If I didn't plan the layout, then it would be a pain later, especially in procuring resources for it!

Which, kind of reminds me of something. What should I use for building the house? I don't think my mud bricks would suit in here, and stone bricks would only make the house an extra-large oven... Maybe I should go and get those heat negation barriers from Petrasha? But then again, would it even work when it is this close to the heat source... I feel like the device would just get fried instantly. Yeah no, I remember that it requires a lot of mana stones to create it. So it probably wouldn't be worth testing it in here. This means we are back to square one to use a material good enough to not trap the heat inside the house that it would cook me alive.

Since these dwarves already live here way before Petrasha came and introduce the barrier technology, it means they have a way to create a house that won't trap the heat inside too much! Alrighty, time to do some grassroots research! Onwards to the market district!

Which didn't end well, cause I am a total stranger with zero knowledge of what is what and where is where. I tried to ask people but they would just point in a random direction... as if it isn't confusing enough, the shops that I pass through are looking more and more similar in terms of their exterior! This means I am getting closer to the new district that Petry told me! But, this is a good thing, after all, this is a huge city! There must be a lot of stuff that isn't there compared to Lucy's hometown!

Er... how to say, this is very awkward. Yes, this is a larger town compared to the last one, but most of the stuff here is kinda repetitive. Blacksmiths, armorsmiths, carpenters, and taverns. Yes, taverns are on the repetitive list. Too bad that I cant try some dwarven cuisine... oh wait, dwarven cuisine... is taverns... right? Welp, I guess that explains that. Well nope, not the time to drink now, time to continue my stroll across the dwarven capital~ Still, it is kinda strange, there isnt any brickmakers out there. Surely a city whose main material is brick would have some brickmakers right?

" Oh, these huh, these are not bricks, they're lavacrete! Thanks to Lord Petrasha that we can harness the volcano to make such fine building materials!" is what one of the tavern owners told me. Yes, I got bored and decided to settle in a tavern that doesn't really have that many people. I still don't like crowds that much. Plus, if this place is losing in the fight, then it means I could probably get cheaper stuff here! You have to reduce the price to attract more customers after all. Even though it didn't really give me a discount, I still got what I wanted!

" Say, is there a way to get this lavacrete stuff in bulk? I wanna make something!" I asked the barkeep. But guess what, his brother owns one of the smaller firms that is mass-producing such stuff! Oh man, what a small world we are in~ After asking for directions, I gave the barkeep some extra tips for the info~ after all, good people should be rewarded right?

Smaller firm my arse... this thing has a whopping 6 stories tall building! In a medieval world! (Well it's advancing to the industrial age so...) Not to mention, they have damn bodyguards outside of it. If this isnt a sign of wealth, then I don't know what is. After calming down, I walked into the firm, only to meet a huge lobby full of recipients' tables. Damn... must be a lot of business...

The world is really a small place. The company is one of the child companies owned by one of the council members, if I didn't remember wrong, her name is Srash? This company is led by her daughter in order to teach her the ropes of business managing, and with what is going on here, I can say that she is pretty successful. Anyway, not only would I be able to get the material needed for my entire house, from concrete to glass and even to metals, I can also come back here whenever I need any furniture! How I wish I could ask them to help me build since it would be way easier, but I don't think they could even get close to there without becoming dwarf jerkies, and they are a supplier firm, not a construction firm. Damn this world is getting too modern and less fantasy.

I gave them a plan for my house and asked them for the materials for it. In which, they god damn altered my design a lot! Hey, I know I might not be an architect, but don't god damn change almost everything in my design! Though, seeing the end result, yeah, I am happy about it. They also manage to prepare the required materials needed for me while everything is going on inside there! The speed and efficiency of it!

After 3 hours, which is probably just slightly past lunchtime, everything has been prepared and I can finally build my house! Even though it is kinda different than what I planned before, the main structure still remains. My house will be a three-story house with the entire top floor reserved for me! My personal bedroom, kitchen, storage, and bathroom! The second floor would be for the princess and the two guys, each with their own rooms plus two extra guest rooms in case someone decided to crash in~ At the center of the second floor would be a large open space which will act as both a living room and a recreation room~ I... am not sure what recreational activities are there in this world, but we can plan it first! The ground floor would be the main living room, dining room, and also kitchen~ There would also be storage space and my workshop there. Even though the skill is great at creating stuff, they're kinda weak compared to those that I can make on my own, so there is no harm in creating a little workspace for myself! Plus, maybe Flux and Frux could work on something there and contribute~

With everything done, the rest is just assembling it according to what the guys at the firm told me. To be honest, the con- lavacrete stuff is kinda genius. They are made into something like lego bricks, and all I need is just to stack them up and make sure to weld them together, and a wall is done... Only buildings taller than 5 stories would need metal wireframes, at least that's what they told me. But, good! The easier the better! Plus, I love playing with Legos... except stepping on one. That is painful. Period.

To be honest, with how easy it is to use these lavacrete blocks to build stuff, I am kinda surprised that I didn't see more of this stuff used outside of here. Is it because it is made of lava that it's hard to export? Somehow, I just keep giving myself random questions when I am stacking up all of these blocks. It is not a bad idea as training myself to think while work would make future works more efficient. But the question remains... why am I doing this... why am I thinking while building...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

It is not until it was past nighttime that I finished building everything. Though the entire house is still pretty bright (duh you're next to lava) At least the sky does tell me that it is dark already. I wonder if the others are sleeping or not?

Since I am still energized, I decided to sneak back to Petry's house. As expected everyone is asleep, everyone except the two brothers. Somehow they are still awake making something.

" I told you you should go like this. This thing turns to this side!" Frux said

" No, it's this side! Cant, you see that I am making progress on it already?" Flux retorted.

" To be honest, you just need to push it in. No need to turn it sideways." I added in. They are making some sort of foldable furniture that is inside the storeroom that they are temporarily living in.

" Oh, it works!" " How come we didn't think about it! Thank you Bel..." both of them thanked before stopping together, turning around to see me.

" Hello you two, it is kinda past midnight you know? I thought I would have come here with nobody awake." is what I said to them as I see them finishing their 'craft'. It is just a foldable table with drawers. The part they're stuck at is the support stand for a lantern.

" Er, hi, it's you huh." " Yeah, we are just er, playing with stuff! Since well it is kinda boring in here hehe..." both of them replied.

" Ah, bored you say, then how about this, you two wanna see your new house? I made a new base that we can live in! Though there isn't really that much furniture now... But it can be fixed later! Wanna come?" I asked them energetically. Which made them frown. Huh? Why?

" How... do we even get there?" " Aren't we supposed to be locked inside here until further notice?" both of them replied.

" It is easy~ I copied one of the teleportation circles that some other humans used the other day. Just wait a sec." I said as I dig a secret tunnel down and finally made a small room. I changed the walls and floor of the hidden tunnel with the same lavacrete blocks so that it wouldn't be too hot down here. After a short while, a small room approximately 10x10 meters is done! And with a quick analysis of the transportation circle that I found there, I made myself a new personal one! Though it is kinda weak as it can only teleport a maximum of 3 people at the same time. And I must be here controlling it... maybe in the future, Petry can make a better version of this. After all, if humans who have no mana that makes this, I don't see why Petry cant make it. She even made phones after all.

" ᛋᛈᛁᚱᛁᛏᛋ ᛟᚠ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚹᛟᚱᛚᛞ, ᚲᛟᚾᚾᛖᚲᛏ ᛏᚺᛁᛋ ᛈᛟᛁᚾᛏ ᚹᛁᛏᚺ ᛏᚺᛖ ᛈᛟᛁᚾᛏ ᛏᚺᚨᛏ ᛁ ᚺᚨᚹᛖ ᛗᚨᚱᚲᛖᛞ ᛒᛖᚠᛟᚱᛖ ᚨᚾᛞ ᚠᛟᚱᛗ ᚨ ᛋᛈᛁᚱᛁᛏ ᛈᚨᛏᚺ ᛒᛖᛏᚹᛖᛖᚾ ᛏᚺᛖᛗ, ᚨᛚᛚᛟᚹᛁᚾᚷ ᛗᛟᚹᛖᛗᛖᚾᛏ ᛟᚠ ᛒᛖᛁᚾᚷᛋ ᛒᛖᛏᚹᛖᛖᚾ ᛏᚺᛖ ᛏᚹᛟ ᛈᛟᛁᚾᛏᛋ. Travel Corridor." I chanted as I can see a circle forming on the ground, which means what I created works!

" Here you go~ Let's go together!" I said as I urge the two of them to come into the circle, activating it once they were both inside.

The travel corridor is quite good! I am glad that I managed to see the runes on there before it disintegrates back at the cave. Though there is some parts that are missing, the knowledge I got from that dead god helps too.

" How does it look~," I said to both of them. Right now, we are on an extension of the main permafrost crystal. This one is a small corridor with a long strip of said crystals. I kinda don't want them to be directly inside so I will teleport them to the outside and slowly go in~ aesthetics you know! While the entire corridor looks like there is no protection, there is actually a layer of lavaglass outside! Though for whatever reason it looks completely transparent in here. But it suits well~ if you look closely you could still see the flame steel wire frame that holds the glass.

" This looks like a castle..." " Huge..." both of them are speechless~ this is when I know I truly made something amazing!

Though a certain someone would have a huge problem with an additional tunnel below her house, but... we don't need to know that~
