What happened...

" Waking up now?" I heard a voice next to me.

Its Paelisher.

" Don't worry, the servants told me you were waking up, so I came and checked on you. After all, you can't really go back to your house now right?" Paelisher said as he continued to read a book.

" So... how long was I out..." I asked.

" Not for long, just a few hours," Paelisher replied.

Our conversation after that is quite awkward... I didn't actively try to talk with him and he didn't really say too much...

" So about the mind magic..." I asked. Since that is the last thing I remembered before I am knocked out cold.

Luckily, this finally brings the conversation in a good direction... at least it isn't awkward silence anymore.

" Those magic originate from another system that didn't originate from our places, so somehow someone taught the humans those. So your best course would be to find out the human that cast it and kill him. Then wait for a few days then the magic would dissipate away. Though... I am not sure where he would be." Paelisher said. This is troublesome... but it isn't something I'm not used to. It means I have the green light to just go out and just eradicate these pests.

" Also... I received some hints that some of them might be at the Desarrkti continent too... I have started to contact the leaders of the kingdoms in the Desarrkti Continent to give you passage to their kingdoms for you to assist them in eliminating it. I heard from... Petrasha... that you can detect the humans right? I am sure it would help you, me, and the citizens of the Desarrkti Continent if you can eliminate them." Paelisher continued.

This sounds like a quest, but I guess it is alright too. Cause I would just be doing the same thing except on another continent... Plus... doing this would probably lessen the chance of me meeting with them... if the pests are trying to use them to eliminate me... or the other way around, the best course of action for me would be to avoid them until there aren't any signs of the mind magic on them. 

" Alright then... I will finish this continent first then head there... if possible could you give me access to the other two continents? If they can somehow sneak in here, I think that they might also go there too..." I asked Paelisher and he quickly nods. That's one thing solved... but there is still one thing...

" How do we know if the mind magic is gone though?" I asked Paelisher.

" I will ask some questions related to you and see their reaction. If they are still being controlled, just mentioning you should be able to cause them to react." Paelisher answered me. I think it is a good plan... I think.

" Then... I guess I will depart now... hopefully, it won't take too long..." I said before I directly flew out of Paelisher's house. Better not waste any time saving them.

While I am flying out of the city, I found someone... or something... near my house... if it isn't because I am seeing its soul, I wouldn't have realized him... the... thing looks like one of those shiny demons in the demon continent... wait... if he is here... does it mean that he is the one who cast the magic? But Paelisher said that it is from another system, so... wait... since this guy has a different soul shape... it means that he isn't from this system! In fact... wait... he has the same soul shape as mine... 

A hexagon...

It must be him... I can't think of anything else.

"ᚠᛁᚱᛖ ᛖᛚᛖᛗᛖᚾᛏᛋ ᛁᚾ ᛏᚺᛖ ᛚᚨᚹᚨ, ᛒᛁᚾᛞ ᚨᚾᛞ ᚷᚨᛏᚺᛖᚱ ᛏᛟᚷᛖᛏᚺᛖᚱ ᛏᛟ ᚨᛋᛋᛁᛋᛏ ᛗᛖ ᛁᚾ ᚲᛟᛗᛒᚨᛏ. ᚠᛟᚱᛗ ᛚᚨᚹᚨ ᛖᛚᛖᛗᛖᚾᛏᚨᛚ" 

After I chanted, a vague humanoid consisting of lava started to form from the lava near my house. I didn't stop at one, I continuously chanted. Slowly, the number of lava elementals rises up...

2... 4... 9... 15...

I stopped at the count of 23 due to the entire area being crowded with lava elementals. 

You might ask if I am using this, won't the heat from them toast whoever is in my house?

Worry not, there is not a single soul inside my house, so it is safe to assume that they have gone out somewhere... probably hunting more pests.

After finishing summoning them, I slowly descend towards the shiny demon while also preparing a spell, a spell that I like to use the most.

ᛖᛚᛖᛗᛖᚾᛏᛋ ᛁᚾ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚨᛁᚱ, ᚲᛟᚾᛞᛖᚾᛋᛖ ᚨᚾᛞ ᛈᚨᚲᚲ ᛏᛟᚷᛖᛏᚺᛖᚱ ᚨᚾᛞ ᚠᛟᚱᛗ ᚨ ᛋᚺᚨᚱᛈ ᚨᚱᚱᛟᚹ ᚨᚾᛞ ᛈᛁᛖᚱᚲᛖ ᛗᛃ ᛖᚾᛖᛗᛁᛖᛋ

I chanted as a lot of arrows formed near me, aiming at the shiny demon below. As I get closer, I saw his head slowly turning to my side. Which, is my cue to shoot everything and call the lava elementals to attack.

My house? It is alright, I can always rebuild it. Money? I have plenty of them, plus, if I really ran low on it, I could always sell all those scripts that the pests made, I am sure someone would want them.

" Shit! Didn't he tell me that if I have this thing the people in this world wouldn't see me? Give me back my money!" the shiny demon yelled before dodging my attacks.

" So there is someone who ordered you. FIgured so." I said as I continued my barrage. Raining arrows of ice at where he is. The lava elementals also block where he is going left right and center.

" Hey listen... we can talk it out alright er... since it's our first meeting... let's talk about why you want to kill me first?" he said while continuing to dodge my barrage. Nope, I am not stopping when he is in his own monologue. 

" Like please, I don't mean ha-AAAAAAA" it is when he continues to try to talk me out, one of my ice arrows hits his arm, efficiently creating a demon arm kebab as it pierces through it entirely.

Not wasting any time, I immediately flew closer to him, the arrow barrage never stops. If anyone were to look in this direction now from the town, they would see a lot of shining blue arrows smashing into my house. No doubt it would worry people but it doesn't matter if I can eradicate this thing that is controlling my friends. I just have to be wary of one thing. The gang sees this and immediately rushes here. While I don't know if the shiny demon could alter the order to them, their original order is already set to kill me, and since I don't want to kill or even hurt them, the best way of course is to kill this guy then dash out and wait for the magic to go away.

" Tsk, that's why I don't want to do this job! Low pay and high risk!" he yelled as he pulled out the arrow. I can see his wound regenerated almost instantly... tsk... 

" Such high regeneration... but I don't think you will survive with your head cut off," I said as I continue my barrage of arrows as I brought out my trusty gunblade and one of my Vector. Why use only magic or only guns...

When you can use both. It's sad that I don't have an exosuit or I could use some extended arms to hold magic staffs, more guns, hand cannon blades, and whatsoever. But that doesn't matter now. What I have now is enough.

" What kind of weapon is thaaaaaa-" despite being attacked from all sides, this cockroach still has time to talk. This clearly means my attack is still manageable for him... tsk...

More importantly... it seems that I am having a hard time killing this cockroach. His regeneration aside, his speed is also nothing to scoff at. He is also evading all the arrows with minimal movement while also evading the lava elementals... but if he is this good at evading projectiles... 

Then I just have to go to melee where my speed is faster.

Despite him dodging all of my ranged attacks, he is quite bad at melee. Why? The moment I got close, he panicked and immediately received several of my slashes, one of them even chopped his left arm away. To avoid it regenerating back, I immediately froze the stump where his arm was at. If it is frozen, it can't regenerate anymore right?

Not wasting any momentum, I continued my barrage of slashes, I know that I have to end this quick because I can sense that they are coming back, and I absolutely do not want to touch this guy. I don't know why, but I felt that if I touched this guy things can go pretty dangerous for the gang.

One by one, his limbs are getting removed. I wanted to slash at his head but he keeps dodging it, so I have to resort to cutting down his mobility first. Now, he is just a body with just his limbs with his head attached. No where to move and no where to dodge.

As I swing my blade to remove this nuisance, a bullet hit my blade as it is knocked off of its trajectory as my gunblade swung into the ground next to him, and while it still drew blood, it didn't really kill him. Looking to where the bullet come from, I see Christine at the other side of the lava lake...

I forgot we have a sniper here... but... if she is here, it does mean that the others are probably already rushing here. Because of this I have to settle for something else...

I quickly use both gunblades to shoot at both his head and his heart. While this is enough to kill normal people... I do hope it is enough to kill this cockroach... 

" Get it! It is here!" I hear Lucy's voice coming from the corridor... calling me it huh... it hurts... BUT I know that it isn't her that is doing it.

But this thing here... 

" Sorry guys... hopefully the next time I come back you all will be back to normal..." I murmured before I flew away from my own house...
