“God?”

“Yes. You must have met him, right? Before you came here.”

“Yes, I did, but he was just a small tornado at the time!
Also, why is god evil? And why does he gives me headaches?”

“He is God. He can have many forms. Let’s start from the
beginning. Flare, promise me one thing. You will only decide who is the bad guy
after hearing the complete story, understand?

“Yes. Don’t worry about that. I trust you.”

Flare, this is a story from last year, when I was in first
year.

There was this girl, named Clare. She was a commoner who got
in by scholarship. Due to this, she was really bullied by nobles. Especially
the princess of the kingdom, whose name was Vivian. She would tear her books,
make her fall, add laxatives to her food, drench her with buckets of water,
write insults on her desk, make rumours and everything.

 Clare was a talented
girl, much more than others. So talented that she didn’t even need to study.
She could goof around all day and still ace the exams. This made the princess
very jealous. First rank was a position meant for only nobles, she thought. But
that wasn’t all. Despite her being just a commoner, she was a beauty. A beauty
that could be compared with the princess of the time. Which made the princess
even more angry. Angry enough to even physically attack Clare. Fortunately, no
serious injury was ever done

With her humble nature, beauty and skill, she gained the
hearts of all student council. She even fell in love with one, his name was
Alex. And he is the prince of this kingdom. Both fell in love, since he
accepted her proposal. So much in love that Alex was even ready to give up his
position as a prince if it meant to marry Clare. This made the princess even
more angry.

But now, no one was with princess anymore. All her
supporters and lackeys had left her. Even her friends and brother hated her.
She was no longer invited to parties. No one believed in anything she said.
People, began acting as if she didn’t even existed. Her social standing was in
ruins. Also, she was regularly called to principal’s office due to her reducing
marks and pressure from parents.

Say, Flare. Can you imagine what will happen next?”

“She snapped?”

“Oh, she will. She will snap. She will snap horribly.

You see, once Clare was just roaming in the garden you saw.
And she saw a strange man. A man who had a wide grin and wore a black suit. He
uttered something.”

“Something?”

“It was just a sound. Like argh, or something. But as soon
as Clare heard it, she realized something. She realized that the person
standing in front of her, is indeed, God himself.”

“What kind of logic is that?”

“Well, if I say Haha, you know I am happy. Similarly, he let
out a sound which let me know that he is God.”

“Really? I wonder what kind of sound was that.”

“No, you must not think that. God is bad, remember? As soon
you see him, you must run away.”

“But if he is God, won’t he, like catch me or something?”

“Knowing him, he probably likes humans running from him.
Anyways, where was I? Oh, yes. She met God.

So, she asked him, is he God?, and he replied, yes, yes he
is. God told Clare something.

By the end of fourth year, Vivian will turn into a monster.
She will turn into something as horrifying as The Second Demon Lord.

For some reason, the princess has magic circuits which are
very similar to The Second Demon Lord. On the last day of fourth year, on the
day of farewell party, she will meet the conditions to activate the second’s
wand and destroy the world.

Say, Flare. What do you think Clare should do now?”

“Become friends with princess?”

“What?”

“Well, the stick works on fear and all, right? If Clare
becomes princess’ friend, she can’t turn that thing on.”

“That...is a good plan. But Clare was panicking at the time.
She didn’t think of that. Besides, knowing God, he must had done something to
prevent that. Coming back,

So, Clare asked God,

“If you are God, can’t you fix it? Just fix her circuits.”

Flare, what do you think God said?”

“Something like ‘I can’t interfere with humans’ or
something.”

“Pfft. That’s so naive. You see, Flare. That day, God said
something Clare will never forget. He chuckled, he giggled, he let out a little
laugh. He said,

“Why would I fix it, when I am the one who caused it?”

“But why? Why would he do that?”

“Because he is a ruthless man. He doesn’t care for human life;
he only considers them toys. This whole drama was just a game for him.

So, God gave Clare 2 choices.

First.

Kill the princess.

God promised Clare that he would help her hide the body. Looking
back now, that was perhaps a lie. Clare would perhaps be in prison now.

Second.

Swap bodies with princess. The whole problem originates
because of her body becoming compatible with her hate. Simply separating them
fixes everything.

So, Flare. What is the best option here? What should Clare
do?”

“The second option...”

“And, who is the bad guy in the story? Clare or Vivian?”

“God.”

“...Yes, he is. That doesn’t matter. Leave him, who is the
bad guy between Clare and Vivian?”

“No one.”

“What do you mean no one? All this wouldn’t had happened if
that princess could had just stopped with her bullying! It’s a miracle Clare
didn’t choose the first option. Vivian is clearly the bad person here. She is
just atoning for her sins, nothing more.”

“But she lost her friends. That’s like, really sad, isn’t
it?”

“Sad? Sad!...whatever. Even if you blame God, we can’t do
anything about that. Flare, you need to chose, on whose side are you?”

“Side?”

“You don’t understand what’s going on, Flare. You need to
choose a side. In a situation where both sides are correct, where both are
innocent, where you can’t save both, you must choose a side. A side to call
home. A side to not feel guilty when the other side loses.”

“....”

“Sorry. I went a bit too hard. Take your time to decide.
Good afternoon.”

“Wait.”

“What?”

“You didn’t explain those two words.”

“Oh, yes. Insight and Depravity. Turns out I didn’t need to
use them to explain. Like I said, I didn’t knew how to explain. I was just
spouting words. Good bye.” She said before closing the door behind her. She
must be trying to be secretive, but I heard the sound of locking my door
nevertheless.

Still, does she really expect that to stop me?

The door is wood! I can kick it down if I want to. Without
even using magic.

“Say,
Nanoja. Can I teleport somewhere I haven’t been before?”
