In an apartment building, in a room with just too many trash scattered about.
There lay a teen with long dark hair. Unkempt and most surely stinking, he was watching the ceiling in a daze.
After some time a rumbling sound could be heard from his direction. He was hungry! But he was feeling so lazy that he couldn't bring himself to make something to eat. Trying to roll to the side he could feel that his body was just too tired.
GrrrrRRRR
-Was he going to let himself die like this?.... Well maybe yes. But not today.
His stomach was just too powerful for his lowly self.
....
..
After opening the door of his building what greeted him was the burning sun. Implacable as always as it tried to fry him alive. But ha! Only a small distance separated him from the supermarket.
When he arrived he was too tired, the exertion too much for his body. His stomach will not stop complaining till it was sated so with agility not in accord of his status as a lowly hikikomori he carried himself through the aisles of food.
His mouth watered as he thought of what he could cook even if he was to waste an hour preparing it. Today he was going to eat well!
-Grilled chicken, roasted chicken, barbecued ribs...---
Bumping into someone he woke from his daydream and gawked at the sight. She was tall and beautiful. Her eyes were a striking blue and her hair was strangely white. Lowering his gaze his eyes wandered through the generous cleavage that was in front of them.
-That is at least a D maybe a double D...
After saying it out loud he came to his senses and lifted his gaze expecting a slap in the face.
Wiping the sweat that was running from his neck and accommodating the bulge at his pants he committed himself to not leaving his house for another month.
....
..
Waiting his turn at the counter, he lazily watched the sky as if there was something interesting up above and ignored everything else. The same as every day, a clear blue sky with slow clouds that drifted in the immensity of it. "She was truly a beautiful woman, enchanting and more dangerous than a venomous viper"
That made him remember what his mother used to say to him when they encountered some beautiful girl.
-"You should not marry with a young and striking woman, because she will bore of you after some years have passed. Also you must not marry someone that you don't like because whom will bore will be you."
-"So whom should I marry, mom?"
-"You will know in time, son... As all things in life, one must learn it by oneself..."
Captured as he was in memories of the past he didn't notice till all the sky turned red. Then he rubbed his eyes unbelieving.
-Wahh.. I should sleep more, I will lose my eyes at this rate. ha. ha.
Laughing at his own little joke he looked around. No one was panicking. Everyone was doing what normal people do. Also, no one seemed to note that up above something sinister was being concocted.
So when he looked up and saw a red sky and a vortex forming above him, he could only curse his bad luck for going out this terrible day.
....
..
When he woke up a terrible headache assaulted his skull. His body ached. His fingers felt heavy and his throat was sore as if he had been shouting at the top of his lungs. Or screaming.
Looking around, all the people that was with him before losing conscience was writhing on the ground. Some were still screaming, but his ears could not hear them. All that they perceived was an annoying ding.
Lifting his gaze he saw that there was no vortex, just a red sky. As if in a daze he remained still watching carefully in search for traces of the giant vortex.
So when something grabbed his ankle he jumped in surprise.
With one hand fixed at his ankle she opened her mouth wide, too wide for a normal human. The sight of her contorting face sent a shiver down his spine.
It was the cashier. Half her body was turned to pulp by a giant boulder that fell from the collapsing ceiling.
Feeling his heart beating faster and faster, he felt his mind numbing and in a attack of panic he unconsciously kicked the head of the cashier and made a run for it.
-Ahh .... ahh .. ahh .. ahhh
Catching his breath he looked behind him but found no one. No creepy cashier, no writhing bodies all around him. Just a red sky.
-What the fuck.... what the fucking fuck!
He sat just below some emergence stairs. His mind was furiously processing what he just saw.
-She seemed.... she was just like a fucking zombies.
He was sure of what he has seen but couldn't come up with a reasonable explanation. He just needed time, he just needed to calm down and think and he could surely come up with....
Bang .... bang.... bang.... bang
Looking upstairs at the sound of steps he saw a man... but just like the cashier it had a terribly pallid face and eyes that appeared to be bleeding. It was walking on four legs and it was looking at him. Opening its mouth too wide it made a silent and terrifying gurgling sound as it tried to scream and pounced at him.
His heart stopped beating for a moment and he was rotted in place as he saw in slow motion how its too big mouth with too big teeth was going to crunch half of his face.
He was going to die here.
BROOOMMMM
Opening one eye he saw the fucking zombie that had crumbled on the floor with blood pouring from its head after it had fallen from the stairs. It was still glaring at him with its bloodshot eyes and with its mouth still open as if it still tried to bite him. But it could not move.
His heart was still hammering in his chest. He was still breathing. He was going to laugh out loud in happiness when a tickling in his neck made him jump at his side with all his strength.
Were he was a moment before one of them ran past him and ran into the wall.
He needs to flee. If more of them were to come he was dead meat. He needs a place to hide.
Running downstairs with all his might he could hear his heartbeat in his ears as a shot of adrenaline cursed through his veins and helped him run ahead of the creature.
He was running in the direction of the fireman axe at the basement. There were more of them, but after the initial panic he could see that they did not run as fast as him.
They are slow, but have surprising strength that they can use to pounce.
Shivering at the prospect of being eaten alive he ran with a bit more agility.
Hefting the fireman axe, he imagined cutting to pieces one of these creatures. But he quickly woke from his cruel and nasty daydream.
Something was approaching.
He pressed his ear in the metal of the conduct that he was hiding. Many somethings were approaching and quickly.
Have they discovered him? Could they smell? or do they have another sense?...
But he did not have enough time for losing himself in despair as they quickly arrived.
They were a group of men and women. They were running in panic from the zombies. Like he tested himself the creatures where quite slow when they weren't pouncing so the humans were gaining distance.
But after the slight relief that he felt the zombies didn't notice him dissipated in an instant when a grotesque figure approached from the other side.
It was big but its face and body didn't match that of a human. It was ugly, walked on two legs the size of his trunk with arms equally big. It had a head with tusk protruding from his mouth. And it was bleeding, making it appear even more intimidating.
The humans were trapped, and quickly even him could smell the reek of fear.
They were going to die.
Some will be eaten alive and the rest will be teared to pieces.
And for the baddest of luck he had to be just above them.
Innuendoes abound...
Thanks for the chapter!!
