Beast masters.

They are owner of the beasts which carried carriages.
Taught at a young age, they are often used for transporation and handling tame creatures for human use.
With their trusty whip and knowledge to control creatures larger than their own.

They are valued for their service.

This knowledge were later shared for the benefit of all to use.

"All you need to do is take these fellow men back to the Empire.
After that, you will receive the rest of the rewards." The hooded figure roughtly said to the beast master.

The Beast master in turn nodded to the hooded figure as he walked away.

He took the heafty sack of coin and wrapped it around his belt.
A group of folk soon appeared to follow him as they walk towards the carriage where Lit and her group was currently resting in.
...

...

...

It wasn't that difficult for us to leave or enter 'City of Taire'
Security was lax and they didn't ask for identification.
As long as you didn't have a collar or bounded by a magic contract which alerted the magic alarms they had placed.

One could easily enter the place and make bussiness.

However, despite how lax it's security was...
One fact remained that their knights and soldier were considered to be strong.
As they valued strength and coin above all else.

Lit listened to Ralph's explanation regarding the city.

She began to understand why it acted as a prison and cage for criminals.
They had strange crystal above the entrances which seem to shine above them before they left.

"That's their magic sensor it seeks out contracted slaves bound to the city."

He raised his chin towards it.

"That's nasty..." Lit became aware the cruelty of the place towards its victims.

From Eight people to twelve.
Their hired beast master was now moving their carriage with their supplies along with new folks who wishes to leave like them.
Fortunately, there wasn't any alarms that alerted the guards which Lit felt grateful about.

She was already told that Magic Contracts are only placed on important individuals such as (Nobility and dangerous entities.).

Normal folks only receives metal collars as they aren't labeled as enough to warrant any sort of magical intervention.

With the sound of the gate opening Lit Journey Continued...

All she could say at this point is... "Here we go again."

This time it wasn't a lizard as a mounth but a large hairy beast that looks like a giant bison.

...

...

...

During their discussion with the beast master for their trip, one of the ladies pretended to be a sorceress.
She claimed she could use magic to protect everyone if needed be.

The reason for this was simple: "There is no way, anyone would believe you kid!"

If someone did believe Lit, it would have already been too late.
So they needed one of the representative.

Lit controlled the sphere she summoned on top of the hand of the lady as it appeared there.

In a way... their trickery worked.

As the beast master was astounded when the young lady acted like a real sorcerer as she snapped her finger as it destroyed a wooden object.
Which of course was prepared for proof of the wielders power.

A.K.A the fake sorceress chosen was Miss.Lydia a woman who is around her thirties.
She had very common facial features holding brown hair and dark eyes that could make one doubt she was actually a sorceress.
We later explained to her that Lit would later expose herself as the real sorceress to fix the confusion, if monster shows up.
Which she agreed...

Eitherway, everything went well.

Aside from reeking like sweaty socks.
I can't wait to reach the next town or city to finally get my deserved bath!

or so I thought.

"Magi Beasts!"

Magic beasts...
In peculiar to Green skins these are creatures that are the size of a giant wolves.
The two that came with the Beast master fought in the front lines.

They wore worn out capes but their skills are rather real as they managed to cut down the wolves that approached.

"Magician!" the Beast master cried out inside the carriage where the magician simply gazed at him and shrugged.

Of course I didn't idly watch them the map had already warned me of these coming monsters before hand.
And I was already in the front seat ready to take them down.

(Come to me my precious EXP)

"Sacrifice Bones"

His eyes went wide in shock when he turn to see multiple balls of odd light fly in the air.

"hah?" only a dumb expression was left in his mouth as I heard it cleanly.

"Lock On!" I gazed at where the wolves were they were automatically marked by the Lock on System.
The main flaw of this ability, when I am blinded or it's too dark to see them.
Which is why I prefer if we travelled in the morning.

Total: Eight Giant wolves marked while four had already been cut down.

I was standing on top of the carriage front seat while this was happening.

After a few moments another rain of Soul Strikes eliminated the wolves where the warrior could only freeze in place as they saw the crushed faces of each wolves as though a large round rock had struck them.

"No need to thank me, Eow..." my foot still ached.
Once more I felt the glistening white light around me. (I leveled up again.)

"What... is going on here?" the Beast master cried as he gazed at me with puzzled eyes.

Of course, Ralph spoke to him inside the carriage.

"She's the real sorceress I spoke about.
Though, I doubt you will accept her work so we faked the young woman as our mage."

The beast masters face revealed a confused smile as he gazed at me in astonishment.
He simply shook his head and said.

"Ugh, whatever..." The beast master was grumpy but satisfied at what had happened.
As he left his seat to dismantle the carcasses of the wolves.
Though, the oddest part are the eyes of the warrior with him was staring at me with a blank expression.
When they noticed my gaze, they swiftly turned their heads and return to the wolves as they pulled out knives to collect their bounty.

It's been decided to camp here and use the dismantle the wolves as our next meal and add the surplus to our supplies.

...

...

...

"Meat!" "Meat!" "Meat!"

[Lit's internal monolgue]

A large fire, the smell of meat.
The sound of laughter from both women, men and children as they relished the taste of Victory and Life.

While I was eating the wolf meat on the wooden stick.
What I felt was... pure Bliss!
Ahh... the satisfaction and taste of actual meat and isn't just tasteless dry bread, smell of iron and the reek of booze.

The sound of bristling grass as we now saw the city in the distance now slowly enveloped in mists.
Felt rather soothing despite our current situation.
Now that we aren't walking and my leg being in constant pain.

This was a nice change of pace.

I gazed at yellow sun in the sky and the reeking stench of unbathed lifestyle.
I beg the heavens to let this journey be a short one and have a shower at least!
The best I could do was borrow some wet cloth we bought and scrub the dirt off my skin before we ate...

(It was better than nothing as a modern person I am slowly getting used to this lifestyle.)

Let's see if we got a new skill.

"Skill menu."

It opened in front of me as I watched everyone enjoy their food.
I slowly crept away from the group to test this new ability out.

[New!] highlighted.

[Bone Craft.]

Is this a summoning skill?

"Bone Craft"
A gust of wind manifested below me as a magic circle appeared in front of my hand as it split in two.

It manifested.

Only to my dismay...

A big bone revealed itself on top of my hand.

*Plop* it dropped to my hand lightly as its 0WT felt so real to me.

"Hah?"

It's size was the size of a mans arm.

This made me shriek in frustration.

"You Gotta be Kidding me!"

"What the heck is this!"

It made me toss the large bulky clean bone on the ground as it made a loud *Thud*.

Like a cave man.

(Where is my summoning skills!) I internally raged.

I was kind of sick on relying on my own limbs and wished for a skeleton servant to serve me at least.

I picked up the bone again and gazed at it then tried to checked the skill details.

But then...

"Um... what are you doing?" A voice of a young boy came from behind me.

It was the group with the Beast master there was three of them.
One was similar to my own size while there was two tall ones who seem to be guarding him.

"Testing my spells." I waved the large bone in my hand.
As he gazed at it while the people beside him hand their hand close to the hilt of their weapons.

"Can I watch?"

"Sure, just stay away..."

I checked the skill tab and checked the description.

[Bone Craft]

[You may now Craft your bone based upon your own imagination.
Be it a sword, spear, staff or even a Bow(String not included).
Feel free to test your creativity with this new found power!]

(Another ridiculous skill...)

I focused and thought of a sword as I held the large bone with my hand.

"Bone Craft!"

Once again the magic circle glistened around me.
As the large bone soon transformed into a sword.

I sighed... this was utterly useless to me, since my physical/Strength stat is [Abysmal]

(I haven't even tested out Soul Tap yet...
Not until, I get a proper summoning spell for safe measure to properly guard me at least.)

While [Soul strike] is powerful, it's doesn't attack instantly when something dangerous happen.
If i react too slowly, I'm dead.

I also have 50% of evasion chance.
It was lucky that it triggered when that arrow flew my way.

"Woooah... it's a sword."

"It's trash." I sent it instantly to my inventory as it dissapeared from my hand.

[Bone Sword has now been named: Trash] as this popped up the boy beside me then said in astonishment.

"Eh? it dissapeared!"

"It appear's to be a storage spell." one of his guard said to him.

"It's incredible given her age."

I gazed at the three with a bothered expression.
Why do they look at me like I'm some kind of subject to study?

"So... what is it do you guys want?" I directly asked them.

"Ah... would you be willing to work with us?"

I then tilted my head.

"What are you talking about?
Aren't I already working with you guys?"

"No... After we reach our destination.
I would like to make use of your skills."

Lit frowned at such a thought.

"I don't know who you are...
To me you guys look rather suspicious."

"Your no different either..." the young boy said with a grin to her.

Lit had her hood on, so did they...
He then curiously said. "How about we both reveal ourselves..." Lit nodded to his words.

The sound of cloth being moved altogether as she was rather surprised to see a young boy with red hair.
His face was fair and decent enough to look at...

Were what Lit thoughts at the time,
Though, his expression seems to be of shock.

Her gaze turned to the knights.

One of the guards had dark hair had and scars on his cheeks,
While the other had Blond hair but looked rather calm.

The dark haired knight whistled at her.

"I thought, you would had some kind of scar or something for hiding under that hood.
Turns out your cuter than I thought, what's your secret kid?"

He was jabbed on the side by the blonde.

But Lit replied: "A good sense of taste."
He could help but chuckle at her answer.

Her eyes then turned to the red haired boy.

"So... may I ask who you all are?
Looking at how you talk and act...
You guys are way too polite." her brow raised with a questioning look.

"Um... it's a bit difficult to explain."

His eyes turned to the group behind them and waved at them.

After a short explanation...

"I see... your telling me, that you got kidnaped.
Then got bailed out by the Black Duke men after hearing of your capture in his own city.
But then... got sent back with these fine gentlemen who were sent by your father."

The red haired boy nodded.

(I've heard dicey situations, well considering my own was way worse than him.
I don't think I should bother to think too much about it.)

Lit wore her hood back on and said.
"I'll consider it when we reach your place.
We aren't technically out of the gutter just yet."

He suddenly had a bright smile on his face as he grabbed my hand and shook it.

The two of his guards were grinning for some reason.

...

Sometimes... I regret being short.
My neck always need to look upward and my neck is starting to hurt.

"I overheard your conversation with the noble kid.
Are you sure about that decision? you might regret that..." Sir.Ralph said to me with a curious tone.

"Do you have the ear's of a bat or something? well, it depends on what he will offer me.
I need a place to stay and I literally own nothing except for magic that can crush monsters from afar.
Not to mention... I'm frail as glass."

(Literally I am frail...
I don't want another encounter with archers especially assasins.
I'm not ready YET!) Internally I screamed these thoughts in my head.

His face twitched as I explained it to him...
"Your really smart for a kid..." then he sighed.

"Ho? are you gonna miss me?" as Lit said those words.

He suddenly went silent as she raised her head to see his expression.
His ears were red and turning away.

"No way!
Aren't you alittle too old for me!"

"Shut up!" He then proceeded to give her rub her head hard.

"Gyaah! it hurts!" Lit cried out.

"I never had a little sister before...
So i felt quite attached.
You little runt!" His voice showed a little sad tone in them.

"Jeeze... it's not like I can't visit you.
Aren't you going to stay in that city and start a new life?"

"That was the plan..."

Originally the city we intended to travel was currently blossoming in bussiness and trade.
Ralph gathered a bit of information before we left.
The Empire City state of Kalis.

However it's distance is a few towns away.
So I can probably take a proper bath if we rest in those towns.
Hopefully...

However...
After a long night sleep in our camp.
I had a strange dream...

Ruined carriages and dead monsters stood before me.
Corpses, bones of dead humans was also present as some were still fresh and rotting.
I didn't understand what this place was...

But it felt uncomfortable.
As the ground shook I turned my head towards the direction where it came from.

I saw our carriage being flung away by a red giant, with one of its arms as it stomped one of the knights and crushed another with its arm.
It's skin was red and it's face was that of a large beast with giant fangs nose and eyes glistening with crimson red that sent a chills to my spine. It evoked a fear and panic within me...

Then I saw myself use [Lock On] and fired off a rain of spheres.
With all I had I sent in hundres no... thousands of them...
My face was terribly in desperation that I attacked with all I had.

But... no matter how many I propelled towards it.
It's giant head turned to me.
Then It charged at me like a juggernaut.
Ignoring the sphere's I had thrown at it.

I remembered what it was...

An [Ogre.]

In the game it was regarded to be feared by tanks who opted for pure strength.
(Because nothing could withstand it's brutal assault.)

But players realize it was pointless to take on such an opponent head on.
Due to the absurd difference in stat between player and monsters.
This gave birth to a new class of Tank classes shifting into Evasion/Heavy Tank class.
They no longer relied on brute strength stat alone to take on the heat.

Taunting it while Dodging while not taking in all of it's damage.
Only accepting Light strikes and predicting its next moves then avoiding it's so called One Hit KO moves.

This caused a grand change in the Lost World once people had reached the level and stage to meet this monster.

Then it is with good reason that even in this world...

Such a formidable creature should be avoided at all costs!
But my agility stat is 1.

There was no way I could avoid it's attack.

Then it's swings it's gigantic hand towards me like a mace of death.
Even if I had 50% evasion chance that could slow down time.
In the end I could barely move.
All I could only stood like a nitwit.
*Splat*

Game Over.

...

...

...

"AH HAH!..." I woke up as I saw it was still dark.
Sweat trickled down my back and head as I shuddered from what had occured.
There was no pain but it just felt dreadful.

(What the heck was that dream?)

Then something poped up.

[Skill Awakened!]

[NEW!: Prophecy of Doom.]

[Status on Cooldown: 29:23:29:50]

I checked the skill on my tab.
[Prophecy of Doom: Requirement to Attain, Mind stat reaches beyond 100.] [Ability Type: Unique To Class]
[Description: A vision of the future depicting of ones own demise.]
[Once every 30 days you will receive a vision of your own demise that would only occur while resting.]
[Clarity of the vision based on mind Stat.]

Skill awakening.
In the game there were such abilities.
Sometimes they are thrown in events or quests but... They are often only temporary.
I don't know why or how I obtained this skill all of a sudden but that was quite a rude awakening.

As for the required Mind stat...
[Main Stats] are retained When a chracter job changes.
My mind stat has already went beyond that...

I couldn't help but frown at this terrible omen.
Yet... I couldn't help but feel sad at how that vision literally screwed everyone

As for my spheres...
I can only guess...

The blasted thing has [Magic resistant skin.].

[Magic Resistant Skin: Reduces magic damage by 50% while becoming immune to magic type attacks of tier 3 and below.]
