How do you write Xianxia/Wuxia?
I know this is probably a stupid question from the guy who wrote this ero-novel about a womaniser Martial King, but hear me out. I'm actually going to try my hand at writing a darker version of this.
I'm gonna keep this one fairly light in tone (in comparison to others), and make the other one completely dark... and I mean real dark. Like so dark and edgy, you could cut yourself on it.
The reason I'm asking is because there's so many Xianxia out there, but not many that stand out.
Or maybe I've read way too many...
I got the tropes in my head, but unsure of what mindset you have when writing these things.
Any advice will be helpful. Anything.

The question is how to write a good Xiaxia, easy for the character not to be a hypocrite, you know what I mean right? If you want it to be dark, you must give weight to the characters and these they have to have feelings, a good example of this can be Nakada Blaclabel cyanide acid with harem, there is too much pain there, but it is a good example to make characters with motives and goals,
