"I can't believe they found another one! At first, no one has seen one for centuries, and now they are popping out everywhere?" Danny asked as they sat behind in a army truck.

The area they were going was in Saudi Arabia in the deserts north of Mecca

"Just remember our strategy Danny. Drones go first, we stay under cover until we can blind it, before engaging" Lex said

"Yes Sir" Danny answered

Half the team were new marines that were quickly assigned to Lex's team. 

They were barely younger than Lex, and didn't expect their captain to be so young. 

However, Lex's reputation had grown so much that practically anyone new would have heard of him. 

So they did give him the due respect even though he looked too young.

"What the hell is that?" another veteran teammate from Lex's team named Barnabas asked

"That's no Sannaja" Danny said

"That's for sure" Lex agreed. 

This monster was large, but not as large as the Sannaja. It was perhaps half the size, but a quarter of a Sannaja's size. 

Lex couldn't get his head around the creature, seeing it as so horrible looking, the arabian expert they hired screamed after seeing the picture they took by drone and sent for identification. 

The only thing the man could say was that he thought it was an Aksar. 

An Aksar is a chimera mixture of many different animals, including elephants, ox, eyes, pig, stag, ostrich, lion, cat, ram, camel and leapord.

Lex couldn't even identify what was what on the grotesque body, but he agreed with the Arab expert's quote from ancient literature that it was the visible embodiment of all that is horrible, the incarnation of a desolation not merely physical but also of the soul. 

Though they didn't have any reason to fight this creature, somehow after losing half his team and friends to the Sannaja, this monster was so grotesque looking, Lex felt he needed to kill it. 

"This thing won't kill with a look, will it?" Danny asked

"I don't know. Neither does the local expert. Let's stick to the plan. Flashbang, then grenades, then flashbang before emptying our bullets" Lex ordered

"Sir, yes sir!" the men all yelled simultaneously.

The flashbangs went, and the grenades were lobbed successfully at the monster. Another flashbang brightened the sky as they whole team opened fire on the monster. 

As they had been avoiding the gaze of the monster in case it had the same powers as the Sannaja, they couldn't see the condition of the monster after the grenades were exploding.

They opened fire, seeing the monster up close for the first time, and were shocked that the monster was completely unscathed. 

"Fuck! Nothing seems to harm it" Donny yelled

"Keep calm!" Lex ordered as the monster charged. 

The Aksar moved incredibly fast for something so big, that several of the new marines were killed by the first attack. Several more were badly injured from the attack

Realizing immediately that there was nothing they could do to harm it, Lex decided to call a strategic retreat.

"Retreat men! I will try to distract it." Lex yelled

"No captain..." Donny said, but Lex had already charged forwards to attract the attention of the monster

Lex charged the opposite direction of the crew, attracting the monster with his bullets. 

The monster screamed and chased after Lex, moving faster than one would expect for a creature that large. 

The monster was gaining on Lex with each footstep, and Lex pretended to turn left but immediately change directions to turn right

A huge crash sounded to the left of where Lex was, as the monster pounced where it thought Lex would be. 

The direction he ran to, he found himself at the edge of a cliff overlooking the Red Sea.

"Shit I hope this works like the movies" Lex said as the monster charged at him again. 

He tied his rope to the military knife he carried and shoved it into the ground as he dove off the cliff, holding the rope. 

The monster dove at him, but to Lex's disappointment the whole area at the cliff edge crumbled with the monster's weight, as the monster, rocks and Lex plunged into the depths below. 

"Captain!' several of his men ran to the crumbling cliff face but had to withdraw as more huge pieces of the cliff broke off and smashed into the waters below.

Donny and a few of Lex's veterans dragged their feet to their barracks. The debriefing was long and detailed, and after a 2 day search, Captain Alex Marshall was declared dead.

"Ah, without the captain, I think I will retire" Donny said

"You can't Donny. You're his right hand man" Tony said, one of the survivors from Lex's first mission.

Donny sighed when he looked at the mobile phone blinking on Lex's table

"800 Messages? I didn't know Cap had someone who would call him so many times" Donny thought. 

He picked up the phone and saw endless messages and missed calls. The messages all said "Please call me. Please" and "Lex? It's me. Please don't hate me. Call me back. I still love you". The messages sounded desperate so Donny decided to return the call on Lex's behalf. 

"Hello? Lex? Is that you? Please answer" a beautiful yet desperate voice sounded over the phone

"N..no. This is not Alex Marshall. I am... Donny, his friend" Donny replied

"Then... can I speak to Lex please?" she asked

"Erm... I'm sorry you can't ma'am. There... there has been a situation. But it's confidential. What's your name? Perhaps I can get my superiors to contact you officially" Donny said

"I'm his girlfriend Jasmine... Jasmine Lockhart" she said

"Ja.. Jasmine Lockhart? The actress in Insatiable?" Donny asked in shock

"Ye...Yes... You've seen it?" Jasmine asked

"Yes! All of us has. You're our favorite actress! All the boys have mastu... I mean.. erm.. .admired your work... very much" Donny stammered

".... so... has Lex seen it?" Jasmine asked

"Yes... once. But recently I think he watched it a second time. He didn't say anything but he.... oh... sorry" Donny said

"Please Donny. Can you let me talk to him? I found out from his grandfather in the home that he was in a coma for over 6 months. I didn't know! And his grandfather has Alzheimer's disease, so he didn't read the letter. So I only found out about Lex's condition recently after my stupid assistant told me he called my old number. Please. I need to talk to him... about us... about my movie.." Jasmine pleaded

Donny's heart broke. He now knew why the captain was so bothered and pushed himself so hard. 

"Ma'am. I may be court martialed for telling you this.... but Lex.... he...I'm sorry. It happened a few nights ago. He... he's a hero. He saved our lives..." Donny said

"... what... what do you mean? I don't understand..." Jasmine said as she started to cry. 

"I'm so sorry ma'am..." Donny could only say.

After informing the higher ups, Jasmine was informed officially of Lex's death and was invited to his posthumous award ceremony of his congressional medal of honor. 

Jasmine wore a veil hiding her face, but she attended anyway to collect it as the next of kin as his grandfather was in no state to attend. 

She was surprised that Lex was already a Captain, and although the military could not reveal that he was hunting monsters, they did reveal that he was a brave soldier, killing many terrorists with at least an incredible 200 confirmed kills and saving many of his teammates' lives. 

Jasmine spend a weak in mourning, before putting on a brave face. 

She had many offers, all with a high salary. However, all of them included hard core sex scenes. At least this time she would get to fuck actual A listers
