So I was going to post a chapter nearly 2 weeks ago now, but we had record winds in Colorado, nearly 120 mph or 183 kph. I came home from work to find my neighbor's roof torn off and smashed into my back porch. There was also a power surge that took out my monitors and the fuse in my furnace, as well as a few other components. I finally got my new monitors today(I ordered them 2 weeks ago!) and I am going to start writing again soon, I just need to finish some repairs. Probably a week at this point, sorry for the interruption. I am doing okay and I have the heat restored and the pipes repaired, currently building a new porch, but the price of wood has gotten ridiculous with the supply chain shortage.
When I start writing again I plan to replace this with an actual chapter since I hate doing these then I will be doing a double update on all of my stories. As long as nothing goes wrong, should only be a week or so. I tried using my phone to write, but I have gorilla hands... I even paid extra on my contract for the XL version, but it doesn't make the buttons any bigger, this doesn't help my boomer eyes(It is the glasses that are cursed, it isn't my fault they break within a few weeks!).

Yeah, he was at work like I was. We both have insurance and it is already settled and taken care of, we are both just waiting on payouts.

Thank you for your concerns! I make mistakes like that a lot, especially since it can be hard getting emotion across with just text. Part of writing for me was to try to get better at expressing myself.

I'd suggest just adding the next chapter like normal instead of replacing this one. I check my reading list to see if new chapters are posted, and if you replace this chapter people won't know you have updates until you post a second new chapter. Not a big deal either way, but I think it would be simpler for readers if you don't replace this one.
Hope your house work is going well. I've had two separate houses flood, so I can empathize.
Thought the author died of winds, but read further comments and the author seems to have gotten the rona.
And he claims he is a bommer in the post , so the rona might have killed him.
Hope he is alright, and my deduction is wrong, but reality is often cruel.
It always hits close to home when someone reports "A Cough" and then never posts again. I'll choose to believe you just got busy...
