The Vampire Empress.
Chapter 24. What the Cheats?!
Almost immediately, a blue window appeared in front of me. The window looked similar to a hologram with a three-dimensional model of my figure dressed in a kimono on the left side and a pile load of pages on the right side with the first page showing all my basic statistics from the level to the health, attack, and other details.

I was a bit confused over what the statistics of mine meant. Was I weak? Am I too strong? There was no context for me to go about since I haven’t seen anyone else’s statistics once, so there was no way for me to know whether this is normal or not.
“I know, I know. Do you want to compare it with someone like that Demon Queen is who obsessed with you every day and that little step-daughter you took in?” the idiot God asked to which I nodded as he flicked his finger before the original window expanded, comparing both our statistics.

“Huh… why is her stats all maxed out at 1,000? Is that the maximum value for a statistic?” I looked at the tomato chicken nugget apple-eating god who rolled his eyes as if knowing that I insulted him inside.
“That Demon Queen who is extremely obsessed with you is currently the strongest on that continent, her statistic is limited because the continent is still unable to keep up with her to a degree. You might not have heard this since only she knows about this right now.”
“But there is a system on that world that attempts to keep the balance of the entire world in order. A creature cannot have a statistic and level that is beyond 75% of the second strongest in the continent that creature is living on.”
“And since her gap with the second strongest is at 100 percent stable for almost a decade now, her statistic hasn’t changed in ages nor did her body age since the system works by freezing the movement of time on the creature’s body which freezes any growth… of course, exemptions exist like when the creature starts carrying another creature inside of her or when attacked or stabbed,” he explained.
So that would mean the former king of the kingdom would have definitely be annihilated almost immediately if the Demon Queen were to take action herself… that kind of makes sense, though I just can’t see her as someone who has that much power especially since she looks a bit clumsy.
“Also, what’s up with Ayaka’s statistic… why is her intelligence and mana exactly the same as mine… it would be fine if it was a little bit higher or lower but both of them are exactly the same as mine while being at level one!” I looked at him before he yawned.
“That’s another anti-cheat system in place which is meant to keep idiots who have their souls strayed onto the world away. Those idiots used to train their statistics to the maximum they can while they are children which only ended up killing them as their bodies couldn’t take in the sudden growth. To battle against those idiots, we placed a system where their most talented attributes will take after their parents’ average statistic on the attributes until they turn seven years old,” he explained.
“But Ayaka shouldn’t be my child, how come hers is taking after mine?” I frowned.
“She may or may not be your child, but her mind will always think you are her mother which the system recognizes and accepts as that little girl is not any ordinary child. She’s a bigger brat than you in the future and someone that even the Divine Goddess told you to become afraid of,” he yawned again, “Not to mention, if you go grab a mana sample which is similar to a DNA sample on your world, all of those will definitely recognize you as her biological mother.”
“Since the system changed her mana to become like yours to fix some conflicting data on its memory which means she is ‘technically’ your biological daughter in a sense,” he sighed which made my eyes widened from shock.
Unconsciously, my body moved towards him and grabbed him by his collar as I cracked a fist of mine, “Do you mind explaining that much more clearer to a former student like me?”
“I already explained the best I can, you brat. The system took a sample of your mana and transferred it to that little girl after sensing an anomaly since her mind has determined that you are her mother and since, for some reason, the system is obedient to her, it immediately changed the data stored in its database which caused an anomaly as the checks noticed that her mana was completely different from yours.”
“And so, it did what any normal system would do and fixed the anomaly by taking your sample and slapping it into hers which also triggered a domino of changes in the database, clogging up our processors for several days,” he rolled his eyes.
I was a bit speechless and dropped him back to his sofa, heaving a sigh as my eyebrows frowned, “So, that means any non-blood DNA tests on that world would definitely recognize me as Ayaka’s mother?”
“What do you mean non-blood DNA tests, all the DNA tests on that world are through mana since they are idiots who are thousands of years behind the world you lived in. There is nothing you can do but accept that fact, hayaaa~ I am hungry,” he replied with a growl, “Anyhow, you should check your other statistics rather than worrying about your step-daughter being your actual daughter.”
Immediately after he spoke, another window appeared in front of me but this time, it was far larger than the original window and contained a lot more statistics than the original window varying from charisma to fame.

“PFFT—” the tomato God spat out his coffee, “The Biggest Daughtercon… HAHAHAHAHA! WHAT THE HECK! To think that the serious system suddenly gave out a title like that and even made it your main title… HAHAHAHA!”
My fists suddenly itched to punch someone but I held myself back as I looked at him with a frown, “What do the titles even do, does it give any benefits or what?”
“You should check the benefits window then,” he yawned with a funny look on his face.

UNKNOWN, This only occurs when the title is an anomaly… (?) to indicate that this title may or may not be accurate. |
“Huh… what is up with that last one?” I looked at him before he shrugged it off.
“Like heck I would know, the system acts on itself and if it senses that something may not be accurate then it will label it as such. Who knows, maybe you will get a major benefit that might exceed all the other titles you have if you become the Demon Queen’s wife… especially since her statistics are maxed,” he answered.
“Fine, I won’t ask about that then, instead, do all the titles give benefits passively, or do I have to equip them to receive their benefits?” I asked.
“All the titles are active by default; you can disable any one of them if you like but only idiots would disable a title that gives a very good benefit. For example, A Dear Mother’s benefits make it so that your statistics are boosted whenever you are fighting together with your daughter… this doesn’t only apply to your Ayaka but also to any children you will have in the future,” he yawned.
I felt a bit weirded out hearing that last part but nodded anyway as all of the sudden, the entire world around us started forming cracks which surprised me as he sighed, “It’s times up for our talks. If you want to learn more about the world and all those other stuff, go finish as many quests as you can.”
“One of the quests will unlock all the system for you, so go find what quest that may be and finish it. I’ll give you a hint over what that quest is, revolutionize the town and the prayers of the citizens shall reach the heavens who shall award you with the golden age,” he said with a serious expression before the world crumbled away.
A creature cannot have a statistic and level that is beyond 75% of the second strongest in the continent that creature is living on.
This no math. If the strongest can't have more than 75% of the second strongest then they are, by definition, not the strongest. Did you mean it the other way around, the second has to be at least 75% of the strongest? Or maybe 175% of the second, for an extra 75 beyond?
"Can't be too much stronger than the second strongest being on the continent."
So now Helesta is uncapped again because of Aya's existence
"To battle against those idiots, we placed a system where their most talented attributes will take after their parents' average statistic on the attributes until they turn seven years old," he explained."
And this is immediately and incredibly obviously flawed-if people who "trained too much too fast" would die because their bodies can't keep up, putting that "limit" on a child's stats won't work if their parent is extremely powerful-it would *raise* the child's power instead of limiting it
Ahaha to Ayaka effectively being Aya's biological daughter because of the system swiping her mana and implanting it into Ayaka. Though apparently it didn't also pull over her attribute like you'd think it would since Ayaka only has the holy attribute. I know some people might be unhappy that Ayaka will end up the strongest, but I'm sure Aya is happy and even proud that her daughter will surpass her
You mention the (?) titles not having any affect since the system isn't sure if they're true or not-why do her Apostle titles (both "of the gods" and "divine goddess") have question marks since they seem to be active going by the second status screen?
Other question-does Aya know what "velen" attribute means? Or did she just not bother to ask because she was distracted by other things? If you want an alternate synonym to use you could use "primal/primordial" or "universal"
I wouldn't be too sure yet that Ayaka will be the strongest. Aya is a divine and has the potential to be a goddess which, at this time, appears to be an existence outside the system. The question marks are the clue here. Time will tell. We will know more when she fully unlocks her system.
@PiRho I didn’t see it said Ayaka would be the strongest in the story, but the author mentioned it in some comments. Whatever happens I’m sure Aya won’t care too much either way
Interesting...
The Last Vampire --> The Last True Vampire
You forgot about "True" the second time the title "The Last True Vampire" was mentioned.
Did Aya get that title for being the last pureblood vampire on Earth or this world?
On the bright side at least the system doesn't consider Aya as Ferze's lover.
What is Ferze's rank on this continent?
The system has a free will AI, right?
Can a creature gain experience points by killing and doing missions or training also give exp?
Thanks for the chapter
Aya got it for the world she is currently on since her original world has her mother and father still kicking the bucket.
The system does technically "see" Aya as a potential which explains the "Her Majesty" title but it didn't bother with confirming it since as we all know, Ferze is a tomato.
And yes, the system has a will of its own and the deities generally are not able to interfere with its decisions. You could say it is an artificial intelligence that decides an entire world or even galaxy's path by tremendous amounts of calculations, simulations and etc.
The system can simulate many paths ahead of the story which allows it to add titles that it cannot confirm yet but knows there is a high chance of.
And yes again, a creature gains experience points by the following:
- Killing monsters or even humans (you steal their experience).
- Learning or improving the skills you have (which is the meaning of experience points in the first place).
- Experiencing new things or mercenary missions, and similar.
There are many more ways to gain experience points but it sure isn't limited to killing.
@Mihou In this world have pureblood vampires been exterminated or have they just had so many marriages to other races that no pureblood descendants are left?
This means that the system didn't bother to confirm it because in addition to Ferze being among the most desirable bachelors on this continent, he's also already made public preparations to try to trap Aya in an arranged engagement with him, right?
The system bothered to confirm in the case of the title "The Demon Queen 's Lover?", because Helesta didn't make any preparations to try to corner Aya into becoming her lover, right?
Now that I've stopped to think about it, when you use the slang "tomato", it's mostly with the meanings of "attractive" and "stupid", right?
I tried to research the meaning of this as slang and the meanings I found are several:
1-an attractive lady. But this term also seems pretty gender-neutral. If you look ripe enough to bite into, you're a total tomato.
2-Someone who's so angry he's red as a tomato.
3-A stupid act or person.
4-A term used to describe someone who is denial of his homosexuality...because even though you think a tomato is a vegetable, it's really a "fruit"
etc... There are others too, but those didn't seem to match the context of your line.
So in the case of a cook he could gain exp by trying new recipes, right?
"PFFT—" the tomato God spat out his coffee, "The Biggest Daughtercon… HAHAHAHAHA! WHAT THE HECK! To think that the serious system suddenly gave out a title like that and even made it your main title… HAHAHAHA!"
Was this the first time the System showed its sense of humor?
Cool, Ayaka was created or rather recreated by Aya's magic. My guess was close!
I was actually worried people wouldn't like this revelation But I had to follow through since it is her specifications.
@Mihou I am slightly confused... I get that she was "patched" to fix a bug, but she had to have come from somewhere, right? Like, she didn't pop into existence right when Aya got line of sight, so either she had parents/back story that's bring glossed over, or the system or an upper being spawned her in Aya's path... I feel like Aya was too shocked by the DNA bit to notice a number of important things she should have questioned.
Thanks for the chapter~
Kinda sucks the MC isn't OP but oh well, can't win em all. Hehe.
She isn't OP for now but she definitely will be. If you are on the perspective of a normal person, she is overpowered though but she is a bit behind from the top 10 of the continent as of right now.
Ah. I see I see. But from what that goddess said, Ayaka will surpass all? I'm strangely okay with that. She's adorable. But, is the Lifespan.. just that? Their expected age of death, or how long they have already lived?
@Mira_Zenon The lifespan written over the statistic board is their 'estimated' life-span, they are mere estimates since lifespan can be extended as the creature grows, for example, if Helesta could breakthrough, her lifespan would get extended a lot with the formula of (level % 24) (% being the programming % which is modulo).
If Helesta grows an additional 96 levels, she would have an additional lifespan of 23 years. (96 % 24) and the same goes for Aya but this can also be lower than usual (96 % <within 1 to 24>) if the health of the person is also low.
For example, if we have a weak and sickly person, the system can set this <1 to 24> to either <1-5> which means even if the sickly person earns 96 levels, they would only earn an additional of (0.96 or 1 year if 96 % 1) (2 years if 96 % 2) and so forth.
But there is an additional rule to the system which is: Base lifespan cannot be increased until you reach level 50, so if either Aya and Ayaka cannot reach level 50 within their base lifespan (1,000 years for Aya and 600 years for Ayaka), their bodies will cease to exist basically.
I hope all of that made sense (since I am taking all of this rules from what I wrote back then at a very sleepy night)
@Mihou I forgot to mention, the level parameter means the additional levels gained. For example, Helesta's current level is 200 and she increased 96 after her breakthrough, the 96 would be the parameter for the formula (96 % 24)
@Mihou this math feels kinda weird... Like if it's a mod 24 function then gaining 23, 47, 95 or even 239 levels would reward with the same extra lifespan. 230 gives less than 45. I'm also assuming this is for levelling up in one go? Wouldn't it be more normal to level up 1 or 2 levels at a time? Worse, if there's a growth function on the XP for level, 50 to 51 is rewarded the same as 200 to 201, even though the latter is far harder?
Also... Yeah, 96 % 24 should be zero, right? 24 * 4.
