After the bell rung, someone led both of us to the Examination Room.

It was filled with students and Soma decided to walk somewhere else.

Soon enough, the door opened revealing a girl with blonde hair and a pink haired girl.

Once they entered, everyone started running away which left Soma confused but I researched a bit and knew why.

"Who're they and why is everyone running away?" asked Soma walking back towards me.

"That's Nakiri Erina, she's also called the God Tongue because she's able to recognize any kind of food just by tasting the. She's also a bit picky with her food and she can enhance a dish better than anyone is what I've read online." I said.

Soma looked at me with excitement in his eyes.

"You must be pretty cool to be complimented by Miku! I'm Yukihira Soma and I'm taking the exam with the blue haired girl named Miku." said Soma.

"Who do you think you're talking to?" asked Hisako in an irritated tone.

"What? I was just greeting the person who Miku told me about." said Soma confused.

I giggled at the sight and found it quite amusing.

"Let's get cooking Soma, our main dish is Eggs."I said.

I grabbed a few ingredients and walked over to a stove and started preparing.

"Well, I guess it's a competition between me and you." said Soma.

"This is an examination exam, not a competition." I replied.

"Yeah, yeah. By the way, any dish is fine as long as we use eggs correct?" asked Soma.

"As long as you use eggs, it's fine. But are you sure? You could just withdr-" before Erina could finish, Soma cut her off.

"Thank god! I was worried for nothing, let's start!" exclaimed Soma.

I heard talking around the room but I was too focused on what I should cook.

It should be something simple, a chinese cuisine sounds nice.

Then I confirmed what I was going to cook, a simple Egg Drop Noodle Soup.

I took a pot from the kitchen and place it over the high heat fire. Taking out a few ingredients, I put about 6 spoons of salt, added noodles,  and let it cook for about three minutes.

After the 3 minutes was over, I drained the noodles, set it aside, and started rinsing the pot.

Next, I placed the same pot over medium heat, I brought out chicken broth, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce to a simmer. Adding carrots and all but 2 tablespoons scallions, and cooked the vegetables until they were tender, about 3 minutes. I used a slotted spoon to remove ginger and garlic.

While doing all this, my movements were on point. There were no unnecessary movements and my body flowed like water. The way I put everything together was gentle, as if I was taking care of a first born.

I did everything with a smile and filled my cooking with kindness and gentleness.

I took out a medium bowl and lightly beat together two eggs, sesame oil, and salt. While gently stirring the broth, I poured seaosoned eggs into the pot. Letting it sit for about 40 to 60 seconds. I used a wooden spoon to break up the eggs and returned the noodles to the pot to cook for 1 minute

Finishing the rest, I poured the soup into the bowl and put everything together.

My Egg Drop Noodle Soup was ready to be served but I almost used up all the ingredients I had.

(Author POV)

Miku's cooking was gentle, she did it with gentleness along with her calm demeanor.

Her movements were like the water, she moved so naturally, it felt like they were watching the ocean's waves move.

That was how amazing her movements were, they quickly snapped out of their trance when their dishes was served.

They had forgotten about Soma and watched Miku instead,

a question lingered in their minds, who was she?

"My dish, the Transforming Furikake Gohan!" exclaimed Soma.

"Egg Drop Noodle Soup, ready to serve." said Miku calmly.

''They're the opposite of each other.'' thought Erina and Hisako.

Erina decided to taste Soma's dish first and immediately tasted a burst of flavors in her mouth and felt all the flavors blending.

Miku and Soma had high hopes seeing Erina's face but,

"It's digusting." said Erina bolting up.

Miku and Soma was left confused on what was wrong.

Now it was time to taste Miku's dish.

Erina decided to taste the soup first and immediately felt shivers.

She could tell the soup was treated really gently and the soup consisted from many different flavors. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the vegetables were tender, and the eggs were perfect.

It was the first time Erina had tasted a dish like this that would bring shivers down her spine.

Of course Erina didn't know.

Every dish Miku learned from a book, she would take hours just to perfect it the way she wants it to be.

This was Miku's sea of cooking, to treat your dishes kindly, and cook gently.

To flow with the ocean.

Erina knew that if she didn't let this dish pass, it would sure break Miku's heart since the dish was treated like a newborn.

(Miku POV)

I was a little nervous when Erina started to taste the dish, her expression didn't change at all, and her face turned a bit red.

A few seconds later, she stood up.

"Soma, your dish is disgusting." said Erina.

I was shocked, I looked over to Soma who's soul had left his body.

Now I was more nervous.

"Miku, your dish is..."

I was going to have a heart attack if she said disgusting.

"Delicious." said Erina.

I was super happy, out of habit, I leaped and hugged Erina.

I was about 2 inches taller than her so it felt nice.

In an instant, Erina pushed me nearly knocking me over.

"H-how dare you touch me!?" said Erina before she ran out the door.

Hisako had bolted after her leaving me and Soma in the room.

"Well, I guess I won." I said.

"Not fair." muttered Soma with lifeless eyes.

"Don't worry, you can join next year." I said jokingly.

Now it was time for me to get on stage...
