And right before I could go back into my room, I was pulled by a certain blue haired girl.

"Megumi? Do you need something?" I asked.

"Where did you learn to cook that?" asked Megumi.

"Hmm? It was from my recipe book that I read when I was at home."

"That dish is famous across several countries and you're telling me you learned it from a recipe book?"

"It is famous? I never knew that, I just like to try out different recipes."

"Jeez, can I have a taste?"

"Sure, it's still warm."

I back to the kitchen room and grabbed the plate.

"Here you go." I said.

'Thank you!" exclaimed Megumi.

The moment Megumi took a bite, she had a blissful expression on her.

"This is so good! The 5 spices enter your taste buds one by one then they combine, it's incredible." said Megumi.

In an instant, she finished the food I was going to eat for later.

"Megumi, you finished my food." I said.

"Sorry, it was too good." said Megumi bowing.

"It's fine, I'll just make a different dish." I replied.

"If you can cook that well, why aren't you trying to join the Elite Ten?" asked Megumi.

Good question, why aren't I?

"I find it boring I guess, I rather just cook for people to taste than competing." I replied.

"I see, though you'd make an amazing Elite Ten." said Megumi.

"You think so?" I asked.

"Definitely." replied Megumi.

"I guess I'll think about it." I said.

"Alright! I have to go back to the garden now, you should come later." said Megumi.

"Maybe." I replied as she left.

I walked back to my room and laid in my bed.

Memories entered my mind.

(7 year old Miku)

"Mom! Do you think I can be able to cook as good as you one day?"

"Who knows? As long as you keep cooking, you'll be a great cook."

"I'll become a better cook than you one day!" exclaimed little Miku happily.

"Do you want to know the secret to be better at cooking?"

"Yes!"

"Always aim for the top, in order to do that you must hone your cooking skills to perfection. Be able to cook all types of dishes, let nobody rival you, let nobody be above you. Only you should stand at the top." said my mom poking my forehead.

"But why do I have to aim for the top?"

"Because the top is where your mother is at, if you want to beat me you have to aim for the top. Otherwise you'll never beat me." said my mom.

"I'll aim for the top!" I exclaimed.

"Good girl." said my mom patting my head.

(Flashback end)

Aiming for the top, how naive I was back then.

If I never listened to my mother, that incident would've never happened.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Yes?" I said.

"Why don't you go to the garden with them?" asked Fumio-san.

Garden huh? I guess I'll go to clear my mind.

"Alright, I'm going." I said.

I changed into more suitable clothes to go out and started heading towards the garden.

.

.

"Why is Isshiki only wearing an apron?" I asked.

"He's always like that, don't mind him." said Yoshino.

"Here's a tomato." said Megumi.

"Oh? You're here too Miku?" asked Soma.

"I just got here, I was bored." I said.

I took a bite out of the tomato and surprisingly it was fresh and delicious.

"Good isn't it? I spend a lot of time here that I even missed some of my classes."

"Your priorities are wrong!" said Soma.

"Hehe~" chuckled Isshiki rubbing his nape.

We all started gathering vegetables and fresh ingredients.

This helped me clear my mind a bit but the words my mother said still lingered in the back of my head.

"Breakfast time everyone!" said Megumi.

"It's Tadoroko's Special, the Rice Ball Trio." said Isshiki.

Rice Ball Trio, a strange yet fitting name.

Taking a bit, this was quite good.

Green onion, salt, and seasoned chicken.

Not bad, taking another bite.

"Kelp simmered in soy sauce and cheese?" muttered Isshiki.

"Hai, the strong sweet flavor of the kelp pairs surprisingly well with the cheese." said Megumi.

"Your cooking is really good." I complimented.

"Haha~You're praising me too much." replied Megumi.

"I'm only stating the truth." I said.

"She's right, you're cooking and combinations are unique and delicious." said Sasaki.

Megumi turned bright red and turned away. We all chuckled at her embarrassment.

"Oh, there's barley and roasted green tea as well." said Megumi.

I grabbed a cub and poured the green tea.

Taking a sip, I couldn't help but be quite amazed.

My body felt refreshed and it was like a weight had been taken off my shoulders.

"Megumi, why can't you cook like in class?" asked Soma.

Megumi looked like she was struck with a few heavy blows.

"Nervousness?" I asked.

"Un, I get nervous and I blank out then I fail at everything." said Megumi with small tears forming in her eyes.

"That's tough." I muttered.

.

.

I was now standing in front of a club with a certain silver haired person next to me.

"Join my club!" said Alice.

"Cutting Edge Cooking RS. What do you even do?" I asked.

"We specialize in cooking methods that utilize high tech equipment." replied Alice.

"No thanks, I'm too poor for that." I said,

"Don't worry! I'll cover for you plus it gets quite lonely without a girl here, you'll be the fourth member!" said Alice giving me the puppy eyes.

"Urg-fine." I said with a sigh.

Though even with your high tech equipment, I doubt your food would be better than mines.

I shook that thought away, my mother's personality was getting to me.

"Are you okay?" asked Alice.

"Yeah, just wondering if I made the right choice." I replied.

"Hidoi~~But welcome to the club!" said Alice.

There was no one here except us both.

"Where are the other members?" I asked.

"They're about to arrive now." said Alice.

Right when she said that, the door revealed 2 people.

This was going to be a long day.
