A strange pop up window appeared in front of my butterfly. In that window, several quests appeared. One in particular was highlighted amongst all of the quests that the Guild was offering me.

“So that’s what you were trying to tell me, Gawain…” I said to the butterfly who was releasing a dim blue glow. Gawain was flying happily in front of me and the strange hooded girl in front of me.

I forgot to mention this, but on our way here, Katia and I decided to name our fairies. I really like the Arthurian Legends, so I decided to name my butterfly as one of the knights of the round table. Katia also wanted me to name hers… I chose the name “Percival”, another knight of the round table.

“En el nombre de todos los dioses… ¿Qué le pasa a esa mariposa tan extraña?” (Translation: In the name of all the Gods… What’s happening to that strange butterfly?) The hooded girl in front of me didn’t seem scared anymore. She looked really dumbfounded.

I then reread what the highlighted quest said in the pop up window above Gawain. It said: “Discover something interesting” and “Obtain some sort of proof.”

Well… What better proof than a native from the new world…

“Ahem.” I coughed to catch the attention of the dumbfounded hooded girl.

“Ah…” She seemed to be looking at me with confusion.

“Mi nombre es Raul. Aunque también soy conocido como Erlan. Es un placer conoceros, pero me temo que aún no he escuchado vuestro nombre, mi señora.” (Translation: My name is Raul. But I am also known as Erlan. It is a pleasure to meet you, although I haven’t heard your name yet, my lady.) I introduced myself and bowed slightly.

The hooded girl panicked as soon as she noticed that I spoke in the same language as her.

“L-L-L-Lo lamento muchísimo, Señor Raul. Disculpe mi descortesía. Me llamo Lucía Alejandra Herrera Palacios.” (Translation: I-I-I-I’m sorry, Mr. Raul. I apologize for my discourtesy. My name is Lucía Alejandra Herrera Palacios.) Lucía tried to bow politely, but she then noticed that Katia was still pointing her dagger towards her neck.

I looked at Katia and nodded to her. Katia immediately lowered her dagger but she remained nearby Lucía.

"Muchas gracias señorita… Hmm…" (Translation: Thank you very much, miss… hmm?) She looked at Katia and then smiled bitterly.

"Su nombre es Katia. Ella es mi sirvienta y mi amiga. Ella no habla este idioma, así que le pido disculpas por cualquier malentendido que pueda surgir." (Translation: Her name is Katia. She's my servant and my friend. She doesn't speak this language, so I apologize for any misunderstanding that might be caused because of that.)  I looked at Lucía and smiled.

"Ya veo… Eso sí que es problemático, Señor Raul…" (Translation: I see… That's certainly troublesome, Mr. Raul…) Lucía started looking at Katia and me with interest.

Katia and I then made eye contact. She simply shot a quick smile at me.

"Muy bien… Lamento no haber hecho esto antes, Señor Raul, Señorita Katia." (Translation: Very well… I regret not doing this sooner, Mr. Raul, Ms. Katia.) Lucía said as she took off the hood that was covering her head.

Both Katia and I were left a bit dumbfounded at the appearance of the girl in front of us.

"Damn… She's pretty…" Katia looked impressed.

"Yeah…" I agreed with her.

Lucía looked at the two of us with confusion.

Lucía is 1,49 meters tall. She has long dark blue hair that flows towards her lower back. She has some big yellow eyes. Her facial features seem delicate and her mannerisms scream nobility. She's a human.

We might have found a fellow aristocrat…

"¿Sucede algo, Señor Raul?" (Translation: Is something the matter, Mr. Raul?) Lucía tilted her head.

I will not lie to you… She's very beautiful…

"Para nada, Señorita. Es solo que estaba un poco sorprendido con respecto a vuestra apariencia…" (Translation: Nothing at all, Miss. It is just that I was a bit surprised about your appearance…) I said while smiling bitterly.

"Jajaja! ¿Le parezco bonita? Pero qué halagador, Señor Raul. Yo también me siento muy interesada con respecto a vuestra apariencia física." (Translation: Hahaha! Do you think I'm pretty? I'm flattered, Mr. Raul. I'm also really interested in regards to your physical appearance.) Lucía giggled and spoke happily to me.

Katia was looking at me with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.

"Young master, in order to take care of you properly, I must learn this language that you and Miss Lucía are speaking. BY. ANY. MEANS. NECESSARY." Katia kept smiling at me.

Sometimes Katia can be a bit… Intimidating…

"We'll see…" I simply gave a non- committal answer.

"I insist, young master." Katia grinned from ear to ear.

"Okay…" I simply nodded because I knew it was futile to have an argument against this perverted maid.

Lucía giggled while looking at us.

"Parece que os lleváis muy bien, Señor Raul. Como le decía, me siento muy intrigada con respecto a vuestra apariencia física. También se me hace algo extraño encontrar a un par de elfos tan lejos de vuestra aldea…" (Translation: It looks like the two of you are really close, Mr. Raul. Like I was saying before, I'm really interested in your physical appearance. Also, I must add that it is a bit strange for me to find a pair of elves so far from your village.) Lucía said with a curious expression.

An Elven Village? So there's more of my kind in this world. That's good to know.

"Lo lamento señorita, pero Katia y yo no somos de ninguna aldea de la zona." (Translation: I'm sorry Miss, but Katia and I are not from any village around.) I explained to her with a bitter smile.

This is a good opportunity to gain some knowledge of this new world. I will send everything to the guild as soon as I can.

"¿Entonces vosotros dos sois viajeros? Que raro… Que yo sepa, los elfos prefieren no moverse de sus aldeas… Lo mismo pasa con los enanos… Lo entendería si esto viniera de los hombres bestia, pero de los elfos…" (Translation: Then the two of you are travelers? How strange… I thought that Elves didn't like to move away from their villages… The same happens with Dwarves… If it was a Beastkin telling me this, it wouldn't feel so strange, but from an Elf…) Lucía asked and then started muttering something quite fast…

So, the elves and the dwarves of this land prefer to stay in one place apparently. I see…

"¡Señor Raul! ¡Le pido disculpas! Cuando me pierdo en mis pensamientos, empiezo a hablar conmigo misma… ¡Lo siento muchísimo! (Translation: Mr Raul! Please accept my apologies! When I get lost in my own thoughts, I start talking to myself… I'm so sorry about it!) Lucía started to panic…

"No sé preocupe señorita, lo entiendo. Me suele pasar a mi también muy a menudo. Bueno, en lo que refiere a nuestro origen. Katia y yo, nacimos en aquellas islas de allá." (Translation: Don't worry Miss, I understand. It also happens to me often. Well, in regards to the matter of our origin, Katia and I were born in those islands over there.) I said as I pointed at a familiar group of islands which was floating in the sky.

The Sky Archipelago could be clearly seen from here. I smiled thanks to the sight of my home.

"S-S-S-Señor Raul… ¿Está usted implicando que usted viene de las islas que fueron enviadas por los dioses…?” (Translation: M-M-M-Mr Raul… Are you implying that you come from the islands that were sent here by the gods?) Lucía spoke with a shocked expression.

Oh so that’s what the new worlders think of our islands. That they were sent by the gods… Interesting.

Even us, are not sure of what caused the Worldshift, so what Lucía said is a possibility...

“Yo no diría que fuimos enviados por los dioses o algo por el estilo. Bueno, aunque realmente no tenemos manera de confirmar que fuimos enviados por los dioses o si fuimos invocados por algo o alguien diferente. Lo único que puedo confirmar es que ahora nuestras islas son parte de vuestro mundo, Señorita.” (Translation: I wouldn’t say that we were sent by the gods or anything like that. But, we don’t really have a way to confirm if we were summoned by something or someone. The only thing I can confirm is that our islands are now part of your world, Miss.) I explained to her while looking at my homeland.

Lucía was looking at our islands with awe and curiosity.

“Erli, to think we would find a native just after we started our adventure!” Katia looked really proud. She also stopped talking politely.

“Yeah. After we report this to the guild, we should consider talking with my father to establish relationships with the people of this land.” I said to my maid.

“¿Ehh? ¿Erli? ¿Ese es tu apodo? Hmm… ¿Qué le parecería llamarme “Lucy” mientras que yo le llamo “Erli”? Realmente no me agrada ser tratada como una desconocida teniendo en cuenta que llevamos un rato hablando…” (Translation: Ehh? Erli? Is that your nickname? Hmm… ¿How about you call me “Lucy” while I call you “Erli”? I really dislike being treated like a stranger considering that we have been talking for a while now…” Lucía was looking at me with expectation.

I could only look at my maid with a deadpan expression… She simply averted her gaze and giggled.

“Estaría encantado de hacer eso, Lucy.” (Translation: I would be glad to do that, Lucy.) I bowed.

“Perfecto, Erli! Jejeje! ¡Padre y Madre no se van a creer que conocí a un nativo de las Islas de los Dioses!” (Translation: Perfect, Erli! Father and Mother will not believe that I met a native from the Isles of the Gods!) Lucy started to speak in a less polite tone. She was also jumping around in joy and smiling warmly.

Isles of the Gods huh… That reminds me…

“Lucy, me siento avergonzado de pedirte esto, pero... ¿Sería posible que me contaras un poco de este mundo?” (Translation: Lucy, I feel a bit embarrassed asking about this, but… Could you tell me a bit about this world?) I asked Lucy with a bitter smile.

“¡Ah! ¡Pero por supuesto, Erli! Mi gente llama a este mundo: Terra Nova. Actualmente nos encontramos en el Reino de Numancia, en el Continente de Partia. Déjame presentarme de nuevo, Erli… Mi nombre es Lucía Alejandra Herrera Palacios, soy la futura condesa del Condado de la Villanueva.” (Translation: Ah! Of course, Erli! My people call this world: Terra Nova. We are currently in the Kingdom of Numancy, in the Continent of Parthia. Allow me to introduce myself again, Erli… My name is Lucía Alejandra Herrera Palacios, I am the future countess of the County of Villanueva.) Lucy bowed very politely. She reintroduced herself with the grace of a ballerina.

A future countess huh… So the two of us hold the same court rank…

“Ya veo… Esto es información muy importante… Yo también debería presentarme otra vez, Lucy. Mi nombre es Erlan Aerieth. También soy conocido como Raul o Erli, como usted me llama. Soy el futuro conde de la Gran Ciudad de Aerelieth.” (Translation: I see ... This is very important information ... I should introduce myself again, Lucy. My name is Erlan Aerieth. I am also known as Raul or Erli, as you call me. I am the future Count of the Great City of Aerelieth.)  I bowed again and smiled at Lucy.

“¡No puedo creerlo! ¡Así que los dos somos futuros conde y condesa! ¡Qué pequeño es el mundo!” (Translation: I can’t believe it!  To think that the two of us are future count and countess! Truly, I can’t believe how small the world actually is!) Lucy smiled warmly.

“Ciertamente.” (Translation: Certainly.) I kept smiling at Lucy.

She’s a nice person. I hope all the people here are like her.

“Erli, me he estado preguntado esto desde que me dijiste que eras de las Islas de los Dioses… ¿Como suben y como bajan de aquel lugar? ¿Acaso les crecen alas o algo parecido? ¿O podría ser que ustedes han domesticado dragones? (Translation: Erli, I have been wondering this since you told me that you hail from the Isles of the Gods… How do you go up and how do you go down from there? ¿Could it be that you can grow wings? Or maybe you have domesticated dragons?) Lucy tilted her head.

Her barrage of questions actually made me chuckle…

“Conozco a muchas personas que usan Bisontes Voladores y a un par que ha domesticado dragones. También hay montones de arpías en los dominios de mi familia. Pero, usualmente yo me suelo mover usando a La Dama del Lago” (Translation: I know a lot of people who use Flying Bisons and a couple that have domesticated dragons. There’s also quite a lot of Harpies in the dominions of my family. But, I usually use The Dame of the Lake to move around.) I answered her questions.

Ah… I forgot to mention this, but The Dame of the Lake was also named in the honor of the Arthurian Legends.

Lucy was about to open her mouth to bombard me with dozens of questions… Her face was filled with curiosity and awe.

Before she was even able to open her mouth, a very familiar Carrack appeared sailing through the skies.

Lucy could only look at it with a dumbfounded expression. Her innocent expression was very adorable.

Heya! New chapter finally! Well, since it is now clear that the inhabitants in this part of the world speak spanish and have spanish names and whatnot, I will write everything in English. At first it was a good idea writing both in English and Spanish but... Yeah, don't do it... It took way too long to translate everything properly and write the chapter... It was fun to include my mother tongue in this story, but it is a hassle to write in both languages at the same time. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
