Cain sat on one of the sofas inside his room which was so large that one could probably fit more than a hundred cars inside. It was filled with all sorts of ornaments and designs made purely of Kailstone, the most precious metal in Medora.

He tapped lightly on the armrest and was thinking about how he should proceed with one of his plans in the cave of beginnings.

The cave of beginnings is a special cave which contains a high amount of chaotic energy and mutated animals.

Deep within the cave lies an extremely large pool which contains life water, a special liquid which aids one in breaking through to Rank 1 mortal, it is a very precious resource that is shared only within nobility.

But, since it is limited in quantity, the cave of beginnings only opens once every year. It is used by nobility both to train their children and for them to break through in ranks faster despite the high death rate.

This is exactly what Cain was thinking, he wasn't bothered about the people going in as he was extremely confident in himself, instead what got him thinking was about what he learnt a year and half. The Cleansing pool is also said to purify the bloodline but it is so miniscule that is extremely not worth it.

Cain trusted himself and was sure that he would be able to perfectly separate the molecules and obtain a more efficient purity cleansing.

He has been more than ready for his breakthrough to Rank 1 mortal since five months ago but put it off because he wanted to enter the cave of beginnings to test his theory.

"Hmm I guess plan A is the best then but if it doesn't work out I can just switch to plan B, tomorrow will surely be interesting" Cain muttered under his breath as a grin appeared on his face.

An old man sat upright in a dim lit room, he had a face full of white beard and a slim figure. His hair was also white and his eyes were purple, he wore a loose plain yellow bathrobe. Opposite him were two people, a boy and a girl aged 15 & 16 respectively.

The boy had green hair with purple eyes, his height was a good 5'9 and his thick green brows stole the show on his face as he appeared extremely serious.

The girl however was calm, her long green hair reaching her waist and her purple eyes displaying a calm but piercing gaze with her height at a stunning 6'0.

The old man looked at the two people in front of him and was satisfied because they are his great grandkids

"The both of you will be heading to the Cave of beginnings tomorrow, and I'm sure you've prepared" said the man in a deep but smooth voice

They both nodded but the girl's calm demeanor changed a little when she heard that but still kept her composure. The old man noticed this and understood why she reacted like that but he put that at the back of his mind

"Cain Ashel will also be there tomorrow"

Immediately he said that, their expressions changed and even the girl couldn't keep herself calm anymore. They were shocked beyond words, the girl couldn't hide her disbelief

"Great Grandfather, is what you say really true?" The girl composed herself and ask in a grave tone

"Yes it is, the Ashel family announced it yesterday, he will be part of those who partake in the cleansing" the man replied calmly

"But how? Isn't he just five years old?" this time it was the boy who asked in a slightly rushed tone with visible confusion

"I was surprised as well and I'm sure the other families are, his growth speed is actually terrifying. He's definitely not normal" the man warned in a serious tone

Abigail understood where her great grandfather was coming from and nodded but Raymond wasn't satisfied with that

"B-But great grandfather with this kind of monstrous talent, he's bound to be a massive problem considering his family history" Raymond said, with a slightly trembling tone

The man looked at this great grandson of his and knew exactly where he was coming from, frankly he himself didn't like this development but his hands were tied

"Raymond, Abigail, I have tasks for you to perform tomorrow, don't die, get in the cleansing pool, monitor Cain, and if you both feel like you can take him out, do not hesitate to do so"

Raymond was silent, Abigail on the other hand looked at her great grandfather calmly.

"Besides, the other noble families will probably dish out the same instructions. Everyone is wary of the Ashels" the man said again as the kids nodded

Meanwhile Abigail was quiet and stared at a corner of the room for a bit before she faced her great grandfather again

"We shall abide by your wish great grandfather, I also agree with what you've said. I would like to be excused so I can do some final preparations"

The man looked at her, he could guess what she was thinking but he didn't bother emphasizing on it

"You both can leave, make sure to be well prepared by tomorrow"

They both bowed and left the room together, meanwhile the old man spoke as if talking to himself

"What do you think?"

Immediately a blurry image materialized in a corner in the shape of a human as it spoke with a slight giggle

"She's a sharp one, I'm really impressed she could notice my presence though I wasn't putting in much effort

Oh by the way the item has been delivered to master, so there should be no problems concerning our agreement"

The man stared at the blurry silhouette for a while before giving a slight nod

"Please send my regards to your master, tell her I've missed her wine dearly"

"Haha your grace I'm sure she'll be happy to hear that. Dont worry I'll deliver your message" said the blurry silhouette as it gradually dispersed

The old man remained seated as he placed his right arm beneath his cheek bone and heaved a deep sigh

"Things will get rough soon"

The day passed uneventfully in the Ashel mansion as everyone still went about their normal routine. The next day arrived and it was time to head out to the cave of beginnings.

Cain stood in front of the Ashel main mansion as his loose black hair was dancing in the wind, he was with four other people. Thelma, Solomon, Sabina and a woman who looked like she was in her twenties with black hair and brown eyes.

Her name being Lily Ashel and the second daughter of Thelma and Solomon who opted for this mission.

Solomon looked at his son with pride, not even six years of age and he's about to become a Rank 1 blood mage. As for the plans that other families will have towards his son, he wasn't even bothered in the slightest. He had absolute confidence in Cain

"Kill anyone who opposes you, don't worry, mama will always have your back" Thelma said to Cain with a warm tone that one would think she didn't just tell her five year old son to kill people.

Solomon heard this and laughed before he looked at Lily and spoke

"Lily, your job is to escort him and ensure his safety, if anyone tries anything funny slay them on the spot, I'm sure it won't be much of an issue with you"

"Don't worry father, Cain is safe with me here"

Cain was still standing there quietly with his face as per usual, he wore a plain white shirt and a red trench coat with black cargo pants and black shoe all inscribed with magical defences.

"I'll be heading off now to join Dominic and the other kids" Lily spoke again

She then turned to Cain and he nodded as they began walking towards the Mageride, it looked like a mix of carriage and a mini bus but without any horse, solely powered by a huge magic stone.

It was completely black and made of kailstone which floated slightly above ground, engraved on the left side was the Ashel family emblem which is a skull atop a black lotus all enclosed in a red circle and also a huge black flag atop the ride carrying the emblem as well.

A driver manned the helm as he patiently waited for the duo, meanwhile Cain stopped a bit as he turned back to face his family, he looked at Sabina who has been quiet since

"Take care" he said in his usual neutral tone as he resumed walking

The door of the ride opened automatically as Lily and Cain entered, the inside was completely different as it was highly spacious and decorated and could accommodate over fifty people.

As the door closed the ride calmly floated a few more meters above ground before it sped off in alarming speed towards the designated waiting area.

Sabina watched as the ride sped off and smiled a little as they all headed back into the mansion.
