What do you want for lunch, Black Smoke? I'll pay."
"Cough. Haha! Just get me... whatever you're having. No, get me half of what you're having! Hahahaha!"

"I have been trying to eat healthier lately."
"No. I don't... believe you."

"It's the truth, okay? Coach Roman gave me a list of acceptable foods and everything. You can ask Black Wolf! He'll tell you!"
"Cough. Cough. Okay... well... get me some soup, then. And some coffee..."

"I'll be right back!"
"Take your time..."

Miss Planner scampered off to get her food. Her blonde ponytail bobbed as she walked, and Black Smoke couldn't look away. Miss Planner was so cute. So small. Her tiny figure moved so smoothly and elegantly through the cafeteria. She waved at a few of her co-workers as she passed each table and they smiled and nodded back.

She was nothing like his ex-girlfriend, a clumsy, soft-minded girl with a plain face and curly brown hair. Not only was Miss Planner beautiful, adorable, even, but there was something mysterious about her. Her bright eyes and smooth smile were enough to enchant anyone who stared into them for more than a few moments.

"Hey, watch it, dumb-dumb! Your soup is spilling everywhere!"

Black Smoke's pleasant thoughts were rudely interrupted by the chatter of a group of teenagers sitting at the table behind him. He turned to look at them. All four teens had an enormous amount of food on their plates and they were stuffing it into their faces.

"We're going to Chase's tonight?"
"Umm, yeah man, we're trying to get there tonight. Sounds fresh. You should invite Kitty Cat."

The biggest teen snorted in laughter and continued to wolf down his greasy food. The smallest, a blonde boy wearing baggy pants and a dirty pink shirt emblazoned with the word 'Juicy,' stood from his seat and began cleaning up the mess. He wiped his chin with his napkin and his eyes met Black Smoke's for a brief second. The young man's lips twisted as if he was thinking of a joke.

"Sorry to keep you waiting!"
"No problem. I'm... not in any hurry. Haha."

Miss Planner gently set Black Smoke's soup in front of him along with a plastic spoon. The soup, a bright red with chunks of vegetable matter and pale strands of chicken, smelled incredible.

"It's hot pepper soup. They normally don't have this one."
"Smells good. Cough."

"I saw the strangest thing in line. The boy in front of me had twenty hot dogs on his plate, and the cash register said he was on an unlimited plan... I thought I had the biggest meal plan! And it’s not unlimited! What gives? I eat here for every meal!"
"Maybe... you should ask him about it."

Black Smoke tried his hot soup, finding it quite tasty. It even soothed his throat a little, despite how spicy it was. He thought he didn't have much of an appetite, but he was wrong.

“Mal, you’re nuts!”

The boys were laughing at something again. Miss Planner craned her head out to watch them, smirking with amusement.

"I'm hungry, dude! Ha! Give me a hot dog! Yeah! Long, thick dogs!"
"You know you can eat these faster if you dip them in water first?"

The big tan kid was cramming hot dogs into his cheek like a squirrel. Miss Planner looked away and bit her lower lip, struggling to contain her laughter. Black Smoke could see tears brimming in the corner of her icy blue eyes.

"Who... who are those kids? Hehehehe! They're hilarious!"
"They... are kind of funny, aren't they?"

Black Smoke actually thought they were being quite obnoxious, but he wisely chose to keep that to himself.

"I love them! I wish I knew who they were... I've never seen them around here before. Do you think they're Chosen Ones? Maybe they're just visiting."
"They are... definitely not Chosen Ones. Cough. At least, I strongly doubt it."

"Why do they have an unlimited meal plan, then?"
"Must be... because their parents are rich or something. If I had to guess, I'd say they're VIPs... from the Pit Kings. Look at the little guy's aura... he's got tons of power... the other three are probably his underlings."

Miss Planner sighed deeply as she watched the boys chow down. She kept looking over at them as she ate her own meal. Black Smoke was right. Their power was pretty impressive, especially the little blonde boy in the pink shirt. But they didn't act like rich kids. She made a mental note to go over there and ask them where they came from when she was done eating.

It looked like they were really enjoying their food...

"I really want to get a hot dog. Maybe some french fries, too. And more of that soup. Oh, it was simply delightful!"
"Don't think hot dogs are... on the list of acceptable foods. Hahaha. Cough."

Miss Planner's abruptly stood to her feet and grabbed her purse.

"I don't care. I'm still hungry. Do you want anything?"
"No. I've... had plenty."

Miss Planner ignored Black Smoke's comment and wandered off to get a second helping. As intelligent as she was, she made the worst decisions possible when it came to food. It was as though she had no willpower whatsoever. She had the body of an adorable little angel, but the mind of an imp.
