“Wh- where am I? My body feels a bit numb”
When I first gained my consciousness my body feels numb but it gradually regain all its senses, my eyes are still closed but I can somehow feels something is off.
When I try to open my eyes, the first thing I see is white space and I hovering in it…but thank goodness I still can see my hands, feets, and my body.
I’m trying to move my limbs to move my body but, seems like it doesn’t do anything and I can’t see any wall or anything besides this hollow space with nothing but white.
“Hm? This clothes is… wait, I remember that I was in library and…?”
“Come here, I have something to say to you, O son of man”
I heard something like old grandpa voices but instead of hearing it from my ears, it’s more like its directly inside my head.
After hearing that voice, I feel wind breeze on my skin… am I moving? Well if so then I think this will go to somewhere where that voice coming from.
At first it’s still white hollow space but in a moment it becomes scenery of blue sky and clouds as far as I see, from afar I can see some black silhouette on the way I’m going to.
As I come closer I can see the furnitures and on the middle is… pandan mat? It’s a pandan mat with red, green, and yellow squares pattern on clouds fields with some antique furniture near it, the mat is quite wide maybe 2x5 meters I think?
“So you have come, let’s sit, I will prepare some tea”
There’s someone waiting me on that mat, an old grandpa with white hair and beard but his skin is quite healthy despite his old looking figure.
When I set my feet on the mat, the old grandpa preparing tea in a blirik kettle, it’s a tall white kettle with green spots all around it.
I sit on one side of the mat at the front of an old Javanese cupboard, meanwhile the grandpa just staring at me as he served the tea.
“Uhm, may I-“
“My name? My name goes as God Abner, but you can just call me God, well, basically that is what am I”
I don’t know why but somehow this God Abner is remind me of someone, he gives me familiar vibes.
“Ah, nice to meet you God Abner, my name is-“
“No need for introducing, I already have your biography here”
*FLAP FLAP*
He said that while flapping some sheets of paper in his hand, it feels kinda awkward but I can do nothing about it.
“If I’m allowed to ask, am I… perhaps in heaven? And why do you want to meet me?”
“Relax, you can talk casually with me, this place is above heaven and Gods realm, and I want to give you a chance to live a second life in my world”
“Chance to live…? Am I dreaming right now? The last thing I remember is I’m in a library“
“Oh, sorry to tell you this but you’re already dead, a bookshelf fell and crushed you to death”
“Oh… is- is that so…”
I’m shocked after hearing that but then I feel weird, my head like it was empty and I can’t feels anything besides confused.
“Sorry if you’re sad but-“
“No no no, instead of sad, I more of confused after hearing my own death”
“Is that so? Now drink your tea and calm yourself”
I drank the tea God Abner served to me little by little, after a few sips of tea I gradually feels much calmer.
“Are you calm now? Can we continue our talks?”
I’m nodded in God Abner’s generousness towards me, I’m still feels a bit stressed but I’m okay now.
“Okay, let’s we treat what happened to you as history and now, let’s talk about what you’ll choose”
“…okay, I’m ready God Abner”
“Good, now you need to choose between get reincarnated into my world Fairmallow or going straight to heaven”
Somehow God Abner got so stricter or… is it just my feeling? Either which one is I don’t really care, it’s even suits him better to be honest.
“Before I choose which one, can I ask about the world where I will going to get reincarnated to?”
“Oh! Good question, carefulness before choosing I see, well! To put it simply it’s like the one you see on… what its name again? Manga or something?”
“Yes, manga or comic, so it’s basically a world with magic, swords, and all the things right?”
“Haha! That’s right! With this I don’t need to explain it to you considering you’re already know what is it”
“Well, I just know the basics, so if I choose to get reincarnated… can I choose which race I will born to?”
“For this one I recommend you to choose human because most of the population is human, frankly speaking, easier to socializing”
“Mm… I can relate that, am I going to get born into a family?”
“Uhm... unfortunately not, your new body will created using my power but worry not, I will place you in safe place where no dangerous monsters around and not too far from a city”
“Hmm… a bit unfortunate but I can take the good side, am I will got something after get reincarnated?”
“Sure, you’ll get a tent, some necessities in a pouch and an encyclopedia, and of course ability to use magic”
“I can use magic?! That’ll awesome!”
“Of course! Even kids around 10 years can do some simple magic”
We talks and laughs as we sipping the tea, it so comforting and relaxing that I began doubting myself, am I ever felt like this before?
“Oh! That’s right, do you have preference for your new body?”
“I can choose for what I’ll looks like?”
“Yes, like… what are you think of a perfect looks is”
“Oh… is it including the body age?”
“Yes, of course”
“The gender too?”
“Yes- wait, what?”
“Well, I’m thinking about experiencing all new world and life-“
“No no no no no, what’s with the gender? Do you want to be a girl?”
“Yes”
“Wha- hah….so you wish to live your new life ENTIRELY new?”
“Yes!”
God Abner’s face wrinkles after hearing my selfish request, I know what cost I’ll get if I choosed something.
“*sigh*… okay, but don’t you dare doing something immoral with that new body of yours!”
“Yes! Thank you very very much!”
I bowed my body as God Abner granted my selfish wishes to get reincarnated as a girl.
“*sigh*… looking at you to get this happy, I bet that you choose to get reincarnated rather than to go to heaven”
“Thank you for your understanding”
“Okay, what kind of look do you want for your new body?”
“Uhm… maybe… long black hair, a pairs of obsidian eyes, and medium skin in a 6 years old body?”
“Okay, hm… that’s quite a young body to be honest, well! All preparation is now completed, let’s get you some changes on your stats”
God Abner waving his hand instructing me to get closer to him.
“I will enhance your physical ability and give you some basic martial arts, and of course ability to use magic”
He touch my head with his hand and a gentle light slowly covered my body, it’s feels warm and relaxing.
“Now get up, we will begin the transfer”
“…can I see you again sometime?”
“You can communicate with me in a church, when you pray, you can call me and we can talk, now close your eyes”
God Abner’s voice caring my ears as I closed both my eyes, then some warm feeling caressing my body then my body feels light then… nothing but black, I lost my consciousness.
A moment before I close my eyelids, I got a chance to see God Abner’s gentle smile, somehow I feel like I’ll missed that smile of him.
---SCENE CHANGE---
*CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP*
I heard birds singing from afar as I regain my consciousness, I also heard water splashing not too far from me.
“Ah, there is my belongings”
There’s things that God Abner send with me near the place where I lie down, a pouch and an encyclopedia.
As a gentle breeze walk pass me I observed my surroundings, there’s a cave with a small waterfall near it.
Because it’s already noon, I go tidying the cave and set my tent from the pouch inside the cave, the sun began to set when I finished collecting some wood for campfire.
I lie down inside the tent when I’m finished my dinner and the day is already night, I’ll sleep early today and start my official second life in this world tomorrow.
Could do with some proofreading, for example:
because the last thing I remember is I'm in a library"
"Oh, sorry to tell you this but you're already dead, a bookshelf falls and crushing you to death"
Capital B in "because"
-> "last thing I remember is being in the library."
-> "a bookshelf fell and crushed you to death."
Thank you so much to point that out
English is my second language and nobody around me even knew how to use English, so sometimes I don't really know if what I'm wrote is correct
Anyway, thanks again
Nice, got my attention! Looking forward to more, and thank you for sharing your work.
Thank you for reading
Leony Sanjaya, you sure we aren't fellow countrymen?

"Where am I? My body feels a bit numb," I mumbled, my voice wavering as I began to regain consciousness. Slowly, the sensation of numbness faded, replaced by the gradual return of my senses. Although my eyes remained shut, an unsettling feeling told me that something was amiss.
As I struggled to open my eyes, the first sight that greeted me was a vast expanse of white space. I found myself suspended within it, still able to discern the presence of my hands, feet, and body.
Attempting to move my limbs, I discovered that my efforts had no visible impact, and the absence of any walls or landmarks left me disoriented in this empty void of white.
"Wait, these clothes... I remember being in a library," I thought to myself.
"Come here, I have something to say to you, O son of man," a deep, resonant voice echoed through my mind, bypassing my ears entirely.
Upon hearing the voice, I sensed a gentle breeze caressing my skin. Was I moving? It seemed that this movement was guiding me toward the source of the voice.
The empty white space gradually transformed into a picturesque scene of blue sky and billowing clouds. In the distance, I spotted dark silhouettes, growing more distinct as I drew nearer.
As the silhouettes resolved into discernible shapes, I saw furniture arranged around what looked like a pandan mat, adorned with a pattern of red, green, and yellow squares. Antique pieces of furniture surrounded the mat, which spanned a considerable area—perhaps 2 by 5 meters.
"You have arrived. Please, take a seat. I will prepare some tea for us," the old voice said.
Seated on the mat was an elderly man with a flowing white mane of hair and a matching beard. Despite his age, his skin radiated vitality. With measured movements, he set about preparing tea in an ornate white kettle speckled with green spots.
I settled myself on the mat, facing an ancient Javanese cupboard, as the old man continued to gaze at me while pouring the tea.
"May I-" I began.
"My name is God Abner. You may call me God, as that is essentially what I am," he interjected, his words accompanied by the flapping of sheets of paper in his hand.
Suppressing a feeling of awkwardness, I nodded in acknowledgment.
"Ah, it's a pleasure to meet you, God Abner. My name is-" I attempted.
"There's no need for introductions. I possess your entire biography," he said, fluttering the papers again, an amused expression crossing his face.
"If I may ask, am I in heaven? And what brings you to meet me?" I inquired.
"Relax, you can converse freely with me. This place lies above the realms of heaven and gods. I have summoned you to offer a chance: a chance to embark on a second life within my world," God Abner explained.
"Second life? Am I dreaming? The last thing I remember is being in a library," I recounted.
"Apologies for the bluntness, but you are deceased. A bookshelf collapsed, leading to your demise," God Abner stated matter-of-factly.
"I see... that's quite a revelation," I responded, stunned by the revelation yet curiously detached.
"I'm aware that this news might stir mixed emotions. However, let us treat your past as history. Now, let's discuss your choices," God Abner proposed.
"Alright, I'm ready," I affirmed.
"Excellent. You must choose between reincarnation into my realm, Fairmallow, or ascending straight to heaven," God Abner presented.
His tone shifted, carrying a hint of sternness or perhaps gravity. Regardless, I was indifferent to his demeanor; the concept suited him.
"Before I decide, could you elaborate on the world into which I might be reborn?" I inquired.
"Ah, a prudent question. It appears you approach this with care. In essence, Fairmallow resembles the realms depicted in manga or comics—magic, swords, and all," God Abner explained.
"Yes, a world brimming with magic and adventure," I acknowledged.
"Indeed, and for your consideration, I recommend choosing the human race. It facilitates socialization," God Abner advised.
"I understand that. Will I have a family?" I questioned.
"Unfortunately, no. You will be given a newly-formed body infused with my power. However, rest assured, you'll be placed in a secure area, free from dangerous creatures and not far from a city," God Abner assured.
"That's reassuring. And will I possess any unique attributes in this new life?" I inquired further.
"Indeed. You shall be equipped with a tent, essential provisions within a pouch, an encyclopedia, and the capacity to wield magic," God Abner confirmed.
"Magic? That's fascinating!" I exclaimed.
"Absolutely. Even children around the age of ten can grasp basic magic," God Abner noted with a smile.
Our conversation flowed, punctuated by laughter, as we sipped tea. An unexpected sense of comfort enveloped me. Had I experienced this sensation before?
"Ah, one more thing. Can I have a say in my appearance?" I asked.
"Customization is possible. How would you envision your ideal form?" God Abner inquired.
"Could I be a girl?" I asked boldly.
God Abner's face displayed surprise at my unexpected request. Nonetheless, he eventually relented.
"Very well, but maintain your morality. Your happiness shouldn't lead to moral misconduct," he cautioned.
"Thank you so much!" I exclaimed.
With a sigh, God Abner's stern expression softened. "Your enthusiasm is evident. It seems you're leaning toward reincarnation rather than embracing heaven."
"I appreciate your understanding," I replied.
"Excellent. Now, let's tackle your desired appearance," God Abner declared.
"Could I have long black hair, obsidian eyes, and a medium complexion? For the body age, I'm thinking around six years old," I detailed.
"Understood. And with that, all preparations are complete. Let us adjust your attributes," God Abner instructed.
His hand beckoned me closer. "I shall enhance your physical prowess and instill basic martial skills. Naturally, magic will be at your disposal."
As his hand made contact with my head, a gentle light enveloped me. Warmth and tranquility washed over me.
"Stand up. The transfer is about to commence," God Abner directed.
"Will I ever see you again?" I inquired.
"In the realm of a church, through prayer. Our communication remains possible," God Abner reassured.
Closing my eyes, I absorbed his words. Gradually, warmth encircled my form, then a sensation of weightlessness followed, plunging me into an abyss of darkness. My consciousness waned.
Amidst the descent into unconsciousness, I glimpsed God Abner's benevolent smile. A premonition settled upon me—I would miss that smile.
---SCENE CHANGE---
The chirping of birds heralded my return to consciousness. Water splashed nearby as I gradually regained awareness.
"Ah, my belongings," I noted.
Close at hand were items that God Abner had provided—a pouch and an encyclopedia. The environment around me boasted a cave near a gentle waterfall.
With the day waning, I organized the cave and pitched a tent from the pouch's contents. By dusk, I had gathered firewood for the campfire.
Sitting within my tent after supper, I contemplated my new surroundings—a picturesque cave and the soothing sound of the waterfall. Night descended, prompting an early rest. Tomorrow marked the start of my second life in this realm.
Those words were magnificent!
Too bad English was my 3rd language so I'm a bit struggled with poetic sounding words

Hmmm I'd still atleast browse the races first rather than taking the default option....
Humans in fantasy are very average... I'd probably go elf or gnome but whatever....
